Pho tai nam Vietnamese soup - flank steak & brisket
    Barbie C.

My husband took me to Pho Kimmy after he tried it with a friend & couldn't wait to come back. Parking was convenient as the restaurant is in a strip with other places & had a parking lot. The restaurant itself was very casual, but the food was incredible. Our server was also very nice. To start I ordered #102, the Salsa Blanca slushie boba drink (strawberry & banana - $5). My only knock is that they were out of boba. The drink was still good, but I think the boba would have made it even better. For dinner I had #16, the Pho Tai Nam Vietnamese soup (flank steak & brisket). They have two sizes, medium ($13.99) & large ($16.99). I ordered a medium & still had plenty left over, though I will admit it was incredibly hard to stop myself The broth of this soup was so incredibly flavorful I could drink it alone. We put the sauces we wanted to dip the meat in on the side instead of directly into the soup because we didn't want to mess with the amazing depth of flavor that was already there. The meat was tender & delicious. I can see why he was so excited to bring me here & we will definitely be back!

As always, excellent food. The Pho and Bahn Mi sandwich was wonderful. Terrific service as always!

Eat Pho like a Pro is the slogan on the wall. And it should really say You are Un-Pho-Getable. but really the best Pho I have had. I came to Pho Kimmy awhile back and it was good, but now the new owners took over its even better. The broth is full of flavor I didn't even have to add any of the sauces they had on the tables (soy, hosian, Sriracha, and I believe the other was maybe oyster sauce) sorry not sorry I didn't have to look because I was enjoying my refreshing huge bowl of pho, with cilantro, jalapeños, basil, bean sprouts, all white meat chicken, and mounds of delishes noodles. They over 2 sizes medium and large. The medium is really big I was bale to bring home enough for another meal medium was $12.45 and the large is $15.45. I did order the number 20. OK I am all over the place let me back up some and tell you more than likely you will not see this hidden gem from the road, so use your GPS and pull into the shopping center, plenty of parking shared with multiple other businesses. Rhe inside is roomy, average noise level, offers high top tables and low top, with some outdoor seating, 2 bathrooms, canned sodas, and quick friendly service. OK I told you I jumped to quick and spoke about my main course and I left out the 2 really good and will order again appetizers we enjoyed. #6 butterfly calamari with a sweet chili sauce. Man my tastebuds was loving this pretty big plate of great size calamari that was not chewy at all. The grilled onions and red peppers complimented the dish. I loved the sauce #44 Vietnamese pancake. I am not sure if this is really an Appetizer or not since it was in the menu part. But listen you must try this. My husband hates bean sprouts but this he orders over and over again. When they bring it out you will think of an oversize omelet I mean the size of a forearm lol. But when you cut inside of it you will know this is nothing but a plate of sunshine and rainbows for your mouth. Filled with grilled bean sprouts, shrimp, and I believe pork. With a plate of lettuce and pickled carrots. We ate ot like a lettuce wrap. The sauce is really good and bonus tip here the sauce was also really good with the calamari lol. It really does taste like a savory pancake with all the toppings. If they have a wait to be seated make sure to wait or at least get it to go you will not be sorry and you will be thanking me later. We will definitely be back and will spread the word about Pho Kimmey.

Excellent restaurant!! Very clean. Great service. Some of the very best pho I've ever had. A deep and flavorful broth. The fresh rolls are seasoned perfectly. We requested a rice bowl with no meat and it was great. Run.... Don't walk to this restaurant!!

We went to Pho Kimmy last night on our way home in the evening and i was a pretty good dinner. I'd give Pho Kimmy 3.5 stars. My husband ordered the rare steak and brisket pho and the pho was pretty good. The broth is way better than Pho Lang Thang and the brisket was really good - melt in your mouth good. I ordered the broken rice with BBQ beef and the beef was really good. I'm not a huge fan of lemon grass, but the amount that had on there was not as noticeable, so no complaints. I was disappointed in the nuoc mam cham (fish sauce dip) that came with the dish - it was very pale looking and was overly sweet.. couldn't even taste any red peppers. Overall - I'd pick this place over Pho Lang Thang.

Pho Kimmy is by far one of the best Vietnamese cuisine you can have in the area! The Pho is incredible and always on point! It's always refreshing and filling! Their service is always excellent and I've never had a bad experience even after having over a dozen separate meals! The ambiance is very homely and it's nice to see pictures of the owners family. They even have a cool little fish tank. I hope Pho Kimmy never goes out of business since it's an amazing restaurant. I would choose Pho Kimmy to celebrate an occasion (as I am doing today) over fairly high end dining any day of the week. It's well worth the trip and they never disappoint. 11/10 would recommend to a friend.

We went to Pho Kimmy to celebrate, as we always do, and this batch of pho was something really special. We have been here too many times to count and have always had excellent pho and amazing service as well. You go in and seat yourself and the server brings you menus and water quickly. Then you can order off the menu. At the end, you can just pay up front. The restaurant is super cute inside too. We got the number 17 Flank steak in the medium size (pictured), the number 15 special combination pho, and the spring rolls (number 1). It was some of the best pho we've had there. The broth is always so flavorful and fresh! They are always generous with their meat and noodle portions as well, and they are always willing to give extra onions/cilantro/toppings at no charge. If you want a solid, delicious, and hearty bowl of pho, Pho Kimmy is truly the best in the city!

Thai food is always a great experience because the method allows you to fine tune your meal to your exact taste. I get the #12. Thit Nuong. It's a roasted pork sandwich with slivers of carrots, dycon radish, cucumber slices Jalapeno slice with fresh cilantro on a warm roll. The sandwich is great as it is. I like a little heats so I add a touch of Sriracha sauce. And I like a little sweet, so I had a little Hoisin sauce. And now I have my favorite sandwich. The same with the soups. (Pho). They give you a dish of vegetables that has bean sprouts, mint leaves, thin, sliced jalapeños, and a chunk of lime. This allows you to fine-tune your pho to exact the way you like it. Now #20 Pho Ga. Is chicken broth with white meat chicken, rice noodles, and vegetables you can get a medium or Large ( both servings are generous) I add the jalapeño for a little heat and the bean sprouts for some crunch a drop or two of Sriracha sauce to bring on the heat & toss a few mint leaves to give it that island taste. It's a family owned business. The service is quick. The food is good and the place is always nice and clean, the prices are reasonable. Just the way you like it.

PRO TIP? Don't let this be your first experience in Vietnamese cuisine. Nothing American about it. This place is authentic. Work your way up to Pho Kimmy or you could create a huge disappointment that you don't overcome. I like the flank steak and just about every bowl. Huge, plentiful bowls bursting with flavour. A great beef sandwich to try is Banh Mi Bo Nuong. As the saying goes "you can't spell it; but it eats pretty good!" The problem here is inconsistent service. We've had the wrong order brought to our table, the check not match what we ate/ordered and on our last visit my wife's bubble tea never came. There's usually a long wait, too. For us the location is great and we frequent the surrounding businesses like Bengals and Bread House. 12/21

We went in last night for dinner. I was nervous because I do like Vietnamese food and I feel genuinely bad when it's not done well. I got a Vegetarian Pho and vegetarian roll. My couple friends ordered a Chicken Pho and a Chicken fried rice among them. They also got a plate of chicken wings. The chicken wings and chicken fried rice weren't that good. Skip if you can. I had major expectations on the vegetarian rice roll, and they were squashed. The peanut sauce was disappointing, and the disintegrated with every bite. I've had much better ones. The Pho? Good. I was surprised because I didn't expect that after the appetizers. Both the Phos were good and flavorful. Also the quantity is huge. I guess I got most of it back. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. My heart and stomach was full. The service in itself isn't that great, even dining in. I didn't mind it as long as I got the food, but don't expect a dining experience as such.

I Iove my tea. I stopped while on the road and searching Yelp for tea places nearby. This came up…read moreso went to check them out. I ordered a tea and want to say I drank it before I got out of the lot. It was tasty and refreshing. I could have had more. Will be back when in the area. Service was good overall. They had steady traffic. You can park in in the lot so no an issue and the environment was good. I was in and out so not sure what it's like to stay in and drink.

Inconsistent Customer Service Compared to Other Milk Jar Locations!!!…read more I could have given the Tylersville Road, West Chester location 5 stars, but because of two disappointing experiences, I'm giving it 3 stars. I've been to several Milk Jar locations around Cincinnati, and unfortunately this has been the only one where I've had this issue. My first visit to this location was great. A female staff member made my Dirty Ceylon Boba exactly as I requested--with light ice--and it was delicious. That's why I came back. However, my second and third visits were completely different. Both times, the only employee working was a male staff member, and he refused to make the drink with light ice. He insisted he could only prepare it with the "recommended" amount of ice, which he explained, the cup would be about half full of ice. Since I was in a hurry during my second visit, I accepted it. Unfortunately, the drink literally tasted like dirty water instead of the rich, flavorful Dirty Ceylon Boba I had enjoyed on my first visit. When I returned for the third time, I again requested light ice, and he refused, saying store policy required the Dirty Ceylon Boba to be made with half a cup of ice. I explained that I regularly order the same drink with light ice at five other Milk Jar locations without any issues. He asked which locations they were, and after I listed them, he responded that those stores should also be following the policy. I then asked where customers could read this policy, and he pointed to a sheet of paper taped to his computer monitor--something customers cannot even see. I explained that accommodating simple requests like light ice is common practice at many restaurants and coffee shops and is part of good customer service. Only after a lengthy discussion did he agree to make it with less ice, and even then he seemed reluctant. He still added more ice than I requested, and I had to ask him to remove more ice and add more tea before it matched what I had originally asked for. What I don't understand is why this location is so inflexible when every other Milk Jar location--including this same location on my first visit--had no problem honoring the exact same request. If this is truly a company-wide policy, then it should be applied consistently across all stores. If it isn't, then this location is creating an inconsistent customer experience. To be fair, once the drink was finally made with light ice, the Dirty Ceylon Boba tasted excellent--rich, flavorful, and exactly how I know it should taste. The issue wasn't the drink; it was the customer service and the unwillingness to accommodate a reasonable customer request. Unfortunately, because of these experiences, I won't be returning to this location. I'll continue visiting the other Milk Jar locations that consistently provide both great drinks and excellent customer service.
