Very disappointing experience. A few years ago, the staff was extremely rude and the customer service was poor. The food quality was also below expectations. Although they now seem to be trying to be more polite and attentive, it feels superficial. Instead of focusing on surface-level friendliness, the owner should seriously focus on improving the food quality and consistency. Good service cannot compensate for average food at high prices. Whether it's the fried rice, chaat, or naan, everything is delicious.On our latest visit, we ordered fried rice, paneer butter masala, garlic naan, a cheese sandwich, and pav bhaji. I am a happy Honest vegetarian customer. Had used this restaurant in the past over a year ago. Got a meat to-go for some family members m. The masala dosa mysore meals were just ok. They were not seasoned enough and did not taste like dosas I have had in the pasta. They were not over cooked but they were missing something. The Dosa was a good and heated size. We have tried a bunch of their dishes over the past few years and the food is hit or miss. Some dishes are great, some average and some absolutely no good. The service is generally good. *Paper Dosa was average. The chutneys that came with the dosa was good and so was the sambar. *Rava Onion Chili Dosa was really good. Their potato masala was also tasty. *Paneer Kadhai was really good - but for $16.99 the portion is on the smaller side compared to other Indian restaurants in the area and they do not even serve rice with the curry. *Garlic naan was delicious but again smaller portion for the price. *Dahi poori is usually good, unless they are super busy. *Faluda is overpriced but always in demand because not a lot of Indian restaurants have this on the menu. The taste is okay as long as you have it fresh, take out is not as enjoyable. *The cauliflower Manchurian looked good in the photo but the looks are deceiving. It was too dry and the pieces were too big and raw. The con of eating here is the inconsistency. We have ordered the same dishes over different times, and each time they taste different. This goes for chaat as well, which just baffles me. Sometimes the Chaat's are well put and tasty and sometimes it feels like there was a storm in the kitchen and the ingredients were literally thrown together on the plate. Service was very terrible!!!! We had 7 people and plates for 7 but silverware and napkins for 4., asked for three more settings and got two more. Asked a second time for more settings. Biggest problem was two meals of the seven guest came out about 15 to 20 minutes after the first meal delivered. The first 5 had completed their meals before the last two arrived. We inquired several times about the missing meals and the restaurant was unapologetic about that late meals and we should expect the same service in the future. They cannot coordinate when meals arrive. Food was good but I will not be returning to experience terrible service. The Waltham mass location doesn't seem to live up to the founders published expectations. read more

Excellent service - server was nice, attentive and food was ready quickly. We tried a number of dishes all of which were good The rava dosa was a bit oily for my taste but still fine. Hakka noodles and Gobi Manchurian were a big hit. Samosa chat was ok with regards to taste but presentstion sure was nice. Dahi Puri was finished quickly as it was perfect in taste. Like any franchise you expect the food to be consistent. Glad to know Honest in MA did not disappoint. I have had the opportunity to eat Honest in Edison, NJ, and Hillside Ave, New York. Order a mix of Indo-Chinese, Bombay Street Food, and South Indian! Their Hakka noodles were great! Not salty or drenched in soya sauce at all and were generous with the vegetables (highly recommend). Their Bahubali sandwich absolutely matches the name Bahubali! It's huge and can be shared with 2 people. As for the paper dosa, wished it was cooked a little more, parts looked and tasted uncooked but the sambar was 10/10 with great flavor and consistency. Service was great. Fast quick and no issues. With so many takeout orders, they are always on their toes. Well, I never ordered a takeout, so I don't know how fast your food is ready for pickup, but if you dine in, you won't have to wait for too long. A large shared parking lot in front of the restaurant always helps. Restrooms are decent. The menu is HUGE and I still want to try their Punjabi Thali and lot of other items.
