We have a few Indian restaurants in southern New Hampshire and few are as consistent as India Palace. Whenever I visit, I know that I will have a great meal. Though I am finally learning that when we visit for a meal, we should always SHARE an entree instead of having one of our own. There is lots of space with enough tables to feed multiple large groups. And the servers are always extremely helpful and proactive. I love trying new things by asking them for their recommendations. So far I have not been lead astray. And be certain to take your leftovers home with you! They're just as good, if not better the following day! And if you love spice, ask for your food for as spicy as they do it at home.

I hope that all chicken kormas are like this one because the flavor was absolutely incredible! It's creamy cashew sauce with cubed chicken. I got mine at a medium spice level and it was perfect. The dish was really layered in its flavors with the cashew flavor not being over powering. The restaurant is a pretty nice size, with plenty of tables and room for many guests. The bar is small and the drinks took a while, but we came at the end of the night and I think there were only two people working the front. It seemed like a family owned spot and I hope they succeed here. The food was delicious!

But finally I did and boy am I happy. Very much a family affair - husband and wife who share maitre'd and server responsibilities. And other relatives in the kitchen cooking up a storm. What first grabbed my attention were the huge number of dosas they offer. Seeing any dosa on a menu at all is a rarity and so to see the wide variety they feature was amazing. I opted for the Andhra Kara Masala and it was excellent. The dosa itself crispy and warm and the condiments beautifully integrated. We opted for the mixed veggie pakoras as an appetizer on the recommendation of the owner and they were served warm and crispy. The batter was light - nothing like the thick sludge that usually adorns the deep fried nuggets of vegetable delight. The accompanying tamarind sauce was sweet and clean and the mint-cilantro suitably refreshing. Lovey got garlic naan and saag paneer. Smooth and creamy, the saag was exactly as hoped for and the garlic naan was chewy, warm and toothsome. Dessert was carrot halwa. Hard to believe carrots make such an excellent warm dessert but they do. Richly satisfying with just the right touch of sweetness. We look forward to returning and sampling the rest of the menu!

The TV was playing loud music, which made the vibe a bit chaotic rather than relaxing. The food was overall good, and there's definitely potential here.
