We came here on a whim after shopping at Costco and I'm so glad we decided to give it a try because we were treated to one culinary delight after another. The prices are reasonable and the service was attentive. The whole restaurant is clean, especially the restrooms which smelled like they were freshly cleaned. Service was pretty slow because the food is made to order. Everything came out piping hot and so full of flavor. I was sad I got full so soon because I really wanted to keep eating. Amazing Momos. Nearby costco its a regular occurrence to get carry out from here after a costco visit. Best Himalayan food in the area and top notch traditional Indian dishes too. Service is always great and the price is hard to beat. They are prompt with their takeout and its very rare we ever have to wait past the time they estimated. Had lamb samosa, goat curry and chicken momo, the goat curry is so freshly made that I can feel the springiness and chewiness of the meat texture. Well deserved 4+ star rating. So this week was our anniversary and we headed to our favorite place in Nashua. When we arrived they were on vacation. Thankfully, though, Yelp saved the day once again. After reading reviews for this restaurant we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly greeted and seated very quickly. I do not remember the name of our server but we asked him for recommendations and he was not only able to give us a quick run down of their quite extensive menu, but help us pick exactly what we were looking for. I know our dishes had names but without the menu I couldn't tell you what they were, but everything was delicious!! I ordered a chicken dish from the grill and my husband ordered a lamb dish with gravy. We ordered the garlic lavash bread and another with honey. They were beyond amazing. The complimentary appetizer was a wonderful touch, too. The restaurant was open and spacious with plenty of seating. I can imagine it gets a bit loud when it's full. The bathroom seemed very clean as did the restaurant itself. I guess I now have a second favorite restaurant in Nashua. Guess next time we dine in Nashua I'll have to flip a coin! read more

I ordered takeout from Himalayan Curry House over the weekend, which opened last week. At the time of this review, it was takeout and delivery only (due to covid) even though the dining room was redone and a new bar was built near the front door. This space in Sun Plaza has been home to several previous Indian restaurants over the years. I ordered the Chicken Korma ($13.99) and Vegetable Samosas ($4.99 for 2), which was ready in 20 minutes after ordering. However, when I went to pickup my order, I noticed they gave me Malai Kofta ($14.99) instead of Chicken Korma, which I explicitly ordered and repeated. Since this order was already in the system, they decided to charge me for the Malai Kofta and the Samosas, which was $21.78 total, $1.09 more than the original total, but they gave me the freshly cooked Chicken Korma (waited 8 more minutes) at no extra charge and complimentary Kheer (rice pudding). They did apologize for the misunderstanding, which I think the person ordering before me ordered the Malai Kofta since I heard it. I enjoyed my 2 entrees, samosas, and rice pudding outside at my home. The chicken korma was very good, which had tender chunks of boneless chicken, cashews in smooth tomato & onion sauce (mild as requested). The kofta dish had soft potato/paneer balls in a creamy red sauce. The big samosas were filled with potato, peas, & seasonings in a deep fried pastry shell. The kheer (rice pudding) was milky and not too sweet. When indoor dining is allowed again in New Hampshire, I will stop by for lunch, especially if the buffet will be offered as stated on their menu. read more

Took the Mrs. here on a Wednesday night. First impression wasn't great as we were the only guests in the restaurant at 6pm . We had a waitress that was in training so I won't harp too much on the service, though it was dead silent because there was no music playing. The drinks were very strong, got my girl pretty drunk off two which is a win for me financially. The food was absolutely amazing. The chicken tikka was the best I've ever fucking had. And look at me..... I'm a chicken tikka kinda guy. I've had them all. The app was good too. I recommend this place for takeout 100%. One of the best Nepali/ Indian restaurant I've been to in a long time. The portion sizes were good, the price of the dishes on point and the service was second to none. I had made a reservation for 5 just to make sure I was complying to the restaurants COVID policies with social distancing and other restrictions in place. You just don't wanna show up with your friends at a restaurant and then be told to leave because of no available tables due to the ongoing pandemic (believe me this happens at some places) so I thought to cover my bases. As soon as we showed up, they had our table ready and we were enticed with their complementary fried papad and variety of chutney. It was a nice touch. The menu at this place is huge. There's wide range of Nepali cuisine along with Indian cuisine. We had lamb rogan josh, lamb curry, kadhai paneer, vegetable biryani, naan and mango lassi. All the dishes were tasty. The lamb rogan josh was a little miss considering my Indian background but nevertheless, tasted good. The lamb pieces were soft and delicious. The paneer kadhai was also fantastic. A great restaurant discovery in the end I'd say for us. I'd definitely try this again if I visit the area. read more

The drinks here are some of the best at any Indian restaurant. The food is wonderful. The only real issue I had was with my paneer pakora. The ones we had in house were delicious so I ordered some to go. They were accidentally forgotten so I asked for them again when the bill came an they were on it. When I got home they were hard as rocks. I'm not sure if they were made a while ago and sat until I reminded them or maybe thrown back into the fryer to heat them up but they were inedible. Everything else was wonderful, I was just a little sad about my late night snack because we have to drive an hour to get there so I don't get paneer often. We will definitely be back when I'm in the area. read more

Food was fine but then I saw a rat so I cannot in good conscience give this restaurant a good rating

We decided to order takeout one chilly evening and our choice was this Indian Restaurant because it had such great reviews. We ordered butter chicken, garlic naan, butter naan, shrimp pakora and lamb kadhai. Everything was absolutely delicious with the exception of the butter chicken which was a little heavy on one flavor (yogurt maybe?). The shrimp were fried and super crispy even though they had to travel to our house is a takeout container. The real standout of all the dishes though was the lamb kadhai. To me it tasted like a middle eastern dish called Kibbeh except instead of ground meat the dish contained large, tender chunks of lamb. I told my fiancé the next time we ordered Indian food I probably would just get that dish for myself as opposed to ordering a few different things for both of us to share. I didn't feel like we got a lot of food for the price. So for that reason and the just ok Butter Chicken I'm only giving it four stars. However we'll definitely try it again and next time we'll probably dine at the restaurant so depending on that experience maybe I'll feel inclined to bump them to five stars. read more

This place truly deserves all five stars!! First off, their food was delicious. We ordered an aloo paneer, chicken korma, aloo tikka chat, and two vegetable samosas. It was my first time trying the tikka chat dish... I was blown away. Perfectly crunchy potato patties coated with a creamy curry-like sauce and chickpeas. And all the other dishes were just as good. I wouldn't even say good, it was actually some of the best Indian food I've had on the east coast!! Their service was also great. I have a dairy allergy which they were carefully attentive to. They were able to make my favorite Indian dishes dairy-free (this includes both the chicken korma and the paneer). Overall: I was extremely pleased with the food and service. Worst service ever, and our two curries -- one the house curry, the other vindaloo -- were exactly the same. I cannot express how awful the service was. I ordered a lassi, never got it. Asked for ice for our room temperature water, never got it. Asked for sealable to go containers for the leftovers, and never got any. As soon as they brought the check, they would not stop coming back and pestering us whay they could take away, pushing us to leave immediately. It's off the main road so not easy to find but we had been in the plaza before so found it with no issues. Easily the best Indian restaurant around. The garlic naan is always fresh, moist, and packs a powerful punch of flavor. My favorite dish is the fish vindaloo- I highly recommend it if you like a delicious melody of spice and yum! Himalayan isn't afraid of making their food hot and spicy- which I love- although I'm sure they would tone it down a bit upon request. I use to bounce between a handful of Indian places in NH and MA, but I've found Himalayan to be the most delicious and consistent thus far. read more

It took us a while but we finally got to try this place. The food was really good. We enjoyed all of it but one thing. The paneer 69 had good flavor but was hard as bricks. I mean it was inedible and went straight to the trash. Not sure how the prepped it but I have never had hard paneer like that, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Don't waste your money on it like I did. With that being said, I think chicken 69 would be great, I plan on trying that next time. I love mushroom 69 so why not see if I can add another item to that. Also the rose lassi is really sweet and taste like sugary cheesecake. Not to my liking, so I will stick to the mango. Overall the food is very good and the staff is really nice. A la carte Indian food is pretty expensive since the portions are typically smaller. I am a fan of the buffet so I think I will wait until that becomes a thing again before I make the trip again. This was an order through door dash, so as far as interactions it was non-existent and I cannot speak to the staff or the restaurant. However, I was in the mood for some Keema Matar. This dish was banging! It was a lot of food, package filled to the brim, but I wasn't gonna let up. I hunkered down and finished it. Delicious! I'm not a fan of mutton or lamb, but if it's an Indian dish I'm all in. Onions were small and we'll immersed, and the peas were cooked just right. Now the lamb is ground (or minced) and would be a fun dip with pita chips, however very enjoyable with the rice. I would like to try some traditional Nepalese dishes here, this place is well worth trying out. read more

I was in Nashua two days for work and stayed in a hotel nearby. I ordered several items online and and picked them up in person. Veggie Samosas, Veggie Momos, Paneer 65, Butter Paneer and a Mango juice. They neglected to include the mango juice in my order which I didn't even realize until writing this review. I still give them 5 stars despite that because the food was great, packaged well for take out, ready when I arrived, included a complimentary rice pudding desert and apparently they only opened several months ago in the midst of this crazy pandemic situation. Plus when I picked up my order I asked to add another standard size container of basmati rice which I was going to pay for with cash. The checkout person got the added rice order for me but declined my attempts to pay for it. Sure, it's only a container of rice but that's a gesture that indicates they care about their customers or at least getting a good customer base. As I said the food was great. The portion sizes/prices were pretty typical with the samosas being a little bigger than average which is great. The momos were in the gyoza/potsticker shape and not the round ball shape and I was cool with that. They're all just shapes of dumplings after all. Overall, I would say hope I find myself in the Nashua area again in the near future so I can try more items on their menu. read more

Wonderful, filling food with just the right amount of spice. An extensive menu with both meat and vegetarian options. The Butter Paneer, Lemon Rice, and Naan were plentiful and delicious. It's a tough time to be in the restaurant business, much less just opening a new restaurant, but the staff at Himalayan Curry House did an excellent job and were extremely friendly and helpful. They even threw in a free tasting of their Mango Lassi and a complimentary dessert. I'll be back, next time to try the Momo (Nepalese-style dumplings). Good luck with the new restaurant! read more
