I had booked a hydration facial for dehydrated skin. When I came in Yaz stated that I didn't really need that facial, but another one, that was more expensive, that included my neck and chest area. I said ok. I didn't realize that this spa is more holistic in the sense that Yaz doesn't do extractions/use tools on your face besides strictly products. She had just moved so she was awaiting a package from the postman to hopefully arrive before we got started - so we started a little later than normal, which was fine. She ended up putting steam on my face for what felt like forever, but the steam blast was so strong and all of it was going up my nose & making it hard to breathe. She also did an oxygen exfoliating scrub that ended up getting inside my ears (and I left the spa still with this scrub inside my ears that I had to clean out). After my facial she told me that the products she used on my face were what I needed. She ended up recommending like, 7 or 9 different products that ended up costing $900. I felt like she didn't really give me an option of backing out or picking and choosing which products I REALLY needed, she kept saying "you'll use this and it will be so so good for your skin". I mean my skin did look good after. But a esthetician I went to afterwards said I was using too many actives in my products (that I bought from Yaz) and causing inflammation. Honestly, the less products I use, the better, because I don't have time to spend waiting 1-2 mins between each product to dry on my face. read more

I recently visited Honey + Cream for a waxing on my back, chest and abdomen. What I noticed right away is the spa is very relaxing and emits such a positive and calming energy. Yaz is extremely knowledgeable and suggested a 100% organic wax due to this being my first time and my fair and very sensitive skin. Let me tell you, GOD has blessed her with an amazing ability as the experience was so wonderful and my body has never felt and looked better!! Yaz also suggested a skin care regimen for my face which has suffered from some dryness and flaking and it has helped immensely! This is the best pampering experience that I have ever had! The facial and back facial treatments were amazing. Yaz was very informative and thorough. She covered more areas than a facial and back facial normally does. The facial included the face, neck, shoulders and décolletage. The area for the back facial is the whole back: top and bottom. I was looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating spa treatment and stumbled on an Advertisement for Honey + Cream. The owner swiftly responded to my inquiries and scheduled me an appointment to the soonest availability. I appreciated the swiftness in response time and friendly disposition. The location is in a Medical office off of El Toro road, it was a bit out of the way for me, but the owners welcoming presence sold me. Once I entered the studio, was greeted warmly with a welcoming tone. She explained her passion and education for skincare. She's been in the business 16 years (if I remember correctly). She addressed my skin and the issues she had found, and explained what treatments would be best for me. I ended up getting a simple peel as I have fair and sensitive skin. She explained the science and importance of getting peels and how it basically washes away the dead skin cells from the surface and brightens the skin, etc. etc. In addition to my facial and peel, she recommended a few products, which she believes will be beneficial for my normal/dry skin. The products are all organic and vegan which is a big plus! Overall, my skin feels great and I will be coming back. PS I would of loved a tarot card reading, but it wasn't offered. So the yelp reviewer who was complaining about being offered one is nonsense because as observing the cards I noticed that they were cards of Angels. It's all subjective in preference and being open minded. However, if it was offered to me and it's FREE, I would of happily obliged. read more

I've been seeing Yaz for over seven months and my skin has never looked better. I get compliments all the time and people ask me what I'm doing because my skin has completely been transformed. My wrinkles have decreased significantly and so have the bags under my eyes. I cannot say enough positive things about Yaz. She's definitely a miracle worker and she's so dedicated to results. I went to this place with my mom and we had the brightening facial treatment. It was definitely relaxing and worth it. Yaz was super nice and and knowledgeable about what she is doing. She gave us some good deals since it was our first time doing the facial treatment. She offered us some treatment such as eye treatment (which we also had it), waxing, and also offered some products that related to the treatment that we had. 10/10 recommend Honey + Cream! I called Yaz a few days before I was flying in to Southern Ca, and she made time to do full facials for both my friend and I. She took the time to fully analyze my skin (I have cystic acne on my chin) and choose which products and facial she thought would be best for me. Yaz's knowledge of not only skin, but all of her products was incredible. The facial itself was so relaxing and the environment was so peaceful! Something I also loved was that she provided a robe and slippers for me to change into too. She even included a free eye treatment, even though the promo had already expired! Yaz also has a comfy lounge that I was able to relax in while my friend got her facial. This lounge had tea, water, and snacks! We loved that! After my friend and I were done with our facials, we asked Yaz if she could recommend any products to us, and she took the time to fully explain what each product would do for our skin. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything at all, but I bought everything she recommended! :-) After I left, Yaz even messaged me a complete skin care routine with descriptions of how she recommended the products to be used, and my face has been feeling wonderful ever since. I have a wedding I'll be flying in for in July, and I will most definitely be booking an appointment with Yaz a few days before the ceremony. I found Honey & Cream spa by googling corrective acne treatments and after reading the many good reviews I decided to come here with my dad for a father / daughter facial day. We both received a hand / foot scrub and mask; which, left us both with baby soft skin. I had a vitamin C chemical peel on my face followed by a brightening facial and I noticed a HUGE difference immediately after. I have been going to estheticians, dermatologists, and spa's consistently for 8 years now to find a solution to my problematic acne prone skin. I have struggled with face and back acne since I was 14 years old and I've never been able to cure my problem. Yaz was so kind and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. She educated me on how to fix my scars and acne, she really took the time to help me cure my acne. I could tell she was passionate about her work and shes been in the industry for many years so she has an abundance of knowledge! My dad also got a brightening peel and an eye treatment because he was concerned with some of his wrinkles and lines. He was so excited when he was finished and got to see his results. His face looked noticeably different more youthful and bright. We both will be coming back to see Yaz monthly and I've already told a handful of my friends about her too! Disappointing facial. The foot soak and facial lasted less than 45 minutes. I was asked four times if I want to upgrade to different items. She brought out tarot cards and asked if I wanted to pick one. I do not engage in tarot cards, ouiji boards, etc. It was not relaxing nor enjoyable. I will not be back nor would I recommend the "spa." Thank you. I stand by my review. The facial and foot soak was less than 45 minutes. I declined the tea because I don't know how many people have drank out of the cup. Where are you thoroughly washing the cup in your two room spa? You offered four upgrades - I was there to relax - 1) do I want to upgrade the foot soak salts? 2) do I want to add on an additional eye treatment? The price is only $75.00 additional dollars. 3) do I want to upgrade the facial procedure? 4) do I want a longer facial procedure? My eyes DO NOT have deep lines. You wanted more money. My skin looks fantastic especially for my age. Your "facial" was from the hairline to the chin. A proper facial includes the neck and décolletage- yours did not include these areas. After the "facial" you put one cream on my face. Other esthetician's include a serum, eye cream, face cream and lip balm. Your service was cheap. Your Groupon states that your customers tip on the full amount of the facial value and they "tip generously." This is tacky. I wrote the review on Groupon and a Yelp because I want other women to be aware of your "service." DISAPPOINTING! My next facial is booked at Spa Gregory.
