I started going here for laser hair removal. I've only had 2 sessions so far, but both times the staff made me feel comfortable and the facility was very clean. Location is easy to find and free parking was available even on busy weekends. I felt their prices were comparable, and I did call around before selecting this company. One of the deciding factors for me was that they did offer numbing and it was included in the price. Other places either didnt offer it or charged extra. I am so so happy with med lounge in Ladera! I've had four visits now where I've done Botox lip filler and an ultraLaseMD laser treatment. Aly and Nikki we're both amazing. They were. Patient made me feel very comfortable and answering all my questions. I'm 52 years old and this is definitely the best Botox I've ever gotten, so natural and all in the right places. I finally did full face and it was a game changer! I was really nervous about the lip filler, but Aly did an absolutely amazing job. I'll start with- 51 of these reviews are for spray tanning.... Next- since my original review showing that the positive reviews had nothing to do with the actual services they offer - nine more people in the last 24 hours mysteriously posted positive reviews about med lounges non spray tan services , which I've read you can pay for with Yelp, but that doesn't seem right for such a "faith driven," boss babe so must just be coincidence... My first review actually pertaining to what they do now was mysteriously removed making me question how many other negative reviews might have been removed as well, but I'll try again... I wanted to like med lounge and for this to be my go to spot - but I can't, in good confidence recommend them. In the past year that I have tried to make ML my home spot- but there were several warning signs that I ignored along the way, in hopes of building a long term client relationship and helping them integrate in a community where the mom squad can make or break ya. I lead a large group of moms here in Ladera and we often try out new local businesses to network and socialize. I reached out to offer med lounge this opportunity. It was some samples, 20% off services, and what looked to be the standard "discounts" offered all the time. I chalked it up to maybe they can't afford to offer exclusive deals for these types of events just yet. So a few months later- I tried helping again. I was approached by one of their nurses who told me she was being encouraged by the owner to throw a "party," to market her services. There seemed to be minimal interest on their part when I reached out to do the second event and they told me that they are so busy with the _____ event (some country band concert) they would have to get back to me, so I stopped. (See pic below) There were other warning signs that made me feel like ML cared more about their bottom line than their customers such as doing a giveaway, but then not letting you use more than one at your service, requiring you to book again. The gift cards they give out are pretty useless bc if there is ever a special being run on their products (and when is there not?) they say you can't use it during promotions. The nurse working there at the time was a very sweet lady but expressed that she felt she was being given the heave ho bc she wasn't as young as some of the others - I felt bad for her and continued to book with her exclusively for this reason. When she did my lips- she said she wanted to fix one bc it was uneven on the left side. She called to get the owners permission to do this gratis since it was her mistake, to which the owner said "no." The picture face scanner thing in there (that never works ) was touted as a way to help me track my results over time. Never been shown one sequence. In the 12+ months I've been coming. I tried their hormone optimization program which was a bust. They contracted with optimize u, but I guess the owner of ML ended up heading it up and the experience was a clown show. Outside of one appt where someone on a Telehealth visit analyzed my blood draw and of course proceeded to prescribe a variety of hormones and supplements- there was no further contact. I scrambled and reached out to every branch and one of the employees did finally answer my questions- but these are hormones y'all ?! So obviously I gave notice to cancel 6/1 so I could give their 30 day requirement and agreed to do one more blood draw - the person responded I'll let them know and obviously communication gears back up again on their end trying to convince me to stay. I said I would let them know if it changed my mind but gave the notice assuming they would carry on with the cancellation protocol unless otherwise notified. This did not happen. They manipulated words and continued to charge me for THREE MORE MONTHS AT $279/month. All the while, I'm not ordering supplies, more meds, or asking for any blood draws but they are still happily cha-chinging away... I'm the owner of a small business- ethically if I saw a client was being auto billed for a service they clearly aren't using- I would reach out to them to figure out what's going on at least. Let's say I wasn't privy to this, but the customer brought it to my attention, I misunderstood what they wanted to do- but look at their records and see they didn't actually use services for all those months they were being charged- I would chalk it up to a miscommunication and refund the months they didn't use. Not this owner- she only agreed to remove the upcoming pending charge for services I hadn't used since June! If this doesn't speak to the mindset at med lounge, I don't know what does. Needless to say, I will not be coming back. I've really enjoyed some of the services I had - but when you feel nickel and dimed and your trust is lost once you see the lack of integrity, it's hard to continue giving them chances. Ended up booking an appointment to get the services done. Came in for that service, and she didn't remember me. After waiting the proper timeframe to see results, I saw none. Went in for my 2 week checkup and mentioned my concerns. Again, didn't remember me and asked "what are we getting done today?" I would think she'd remember me after two visits and discussions. She recommended adding more Botox and under eye as she saw hollowness still. Redid the Botox and said "I think under eye is fine" after already noticing the hollowness..weird. Now after TWO Botox sessions there are STILL no results. Which is not normal for me as my other prior clinic got results no problem. For one toxin session. I emailed about how unhappy I was with my results and they wanted to go back-and-forth with their own opinion. I told Mika as well that I have booked elsewhere due to being unhappy with my results. They continued to try and get me to come in to redo photos, I finally agreed and took time out of my day to stop by. A week later, I finally get the photos and to me, looks like they photo shopped! And still barely see results. I took many of my own photos at home that show the REAL results. Funny, because I already knew exactly what they were going to say before finally getting a response back. All about the money for them, and not about the customer! First photo is the photo I finally got back from them, of course they chose the one where I was barely scrunching my face. Needless to say, after giving this place another try, I will never go back. And now, my husband who was going to use them as well for semaglutide injections will now be booking elsewhere. Guaranteed there are many other negative reviews that they got rid of! I hardly consider $130 a "partial" refund on $1,060 service. Gave me money back on the second round of Botox I received knowing the first Botox service didn't work. Offering for me to come back a third time for services that should have been noticeable the first time. I laid out what I was looking for, this place didn't provide. Would rather try and get me to come in again..knowing I booked elsewhere because I simply don't trust them. 08/23/2023 I spoke with the owner, Brittney, via the phone today. I am thankful that she is very understanding, and listens to the story from my side. I got fully refunded. As a consumer, I would like to know what I pay for in advance. If I was told to schedule a complimentary consultation, and I expected to have a Free appointment. If I was informed that there are few different programs with different charges in advance, i would've not got shocked, felt deceived. As the business owner, Brittney takes the ownership and makes it clearly about the company policy, and takes action to improve better management. I wish the staff was better trained and would have told me the age policy when I called in to schedule, rather than wasting time. My husband and I spent the day in Ladera Ranch and were told by the neighbor restaurant that Med Lounge was having a special so we took a limb and tried it out. This place is big and beautiful! I can't remember the young lady at the front desk but she was so kind and helped my husband and I understand our option. They are having a special on a product like Botox called xiomn I believe (spell check) so we went with that and got a discounted rate for the special that our server told us about. I came to the Med Lounge because I was sick and tired of being fat and nothing I was doing was working. I was 6 months away from turning 40 and I was determined to look good. I started my journey in August 2022 and by my birthday in January I had lost 31 lbs! I felt so much better but there was no way I was stopping there. Here I am now down 50 pounds! I'm 5'6 and started at 204 (I can't believe I let myself get like that) and now I'm 154! I still would like to get another 20 off so I will continue my journey with Med Lounge and even once I'm done I will continue a maintenance program with them so I never end up like I was ever again. So, having done some work for MedLounge in Ladera Ranch and knowing Britany from Shredz gym (she is one of the owner/partners), I decided to give their wellness program a try. In particular, it was their bio-identical hormone replacement. I had done this in the past with a place in Newport (which is no longer around) but without any great results and was left pretty unimpressed with the overall experience. I came into it a bit of a skeptic, needless to say due to that past situation. From the get-go, the girls at Med-lounge make you feel very welcome and at ease. It can be a little awkward for a guy to walk into a, for the most part woman staffed place, and ask about male hormone replacement, but I was quickly on my way to a great experience. Nikki, who works in this particular dept. did my blood-draw and explained everything in detail. I got my results back about a week later and scheduled a follow-up with Brian who is their head hormone replacement Dr. He went over all the results and explained what it all meant and how it affected me in particular. I manifested to him that I was looking for a pretty conservative approach and he was perfectly in-tune with that scenario. I subsequently was prescribed testosterone lotion and Sermorelin Acetate (a peptide which stimulates hgh production by the body). Now, after about 4 months of "therapy", I have seen my T levels increase by more than double and I feel phenomenal. I am almost 52 and I feel like I am 30! I had hit a wall, so to speak! I couldn't recover well from hard workouts, I was sore often and had constant lack of energy. Well, in a complete honesty, this is no joke! I workout 4/week to include pretty rigorous cardio. For me, it's literally been a game changer. The energy, the weight loss, the muscle gain, it's all pretty awesome. I sleep better, I feel more motivated and I am not in a proverbial "fog". The support MedLounge and their staff provides is amazing! They really want to see you succeed; afterall , if the patient doesn't succeed, they don't either. Every success story is a happy customer and a referral source. That's why I decided to give them the credit they deserve and the kuddos they have earned with my experience. And it doesn't end at the treatments, it's not like they set you up with meds and wave goodbye; they want to see you back about every 2 or so months for re-testing and evaluation so this is legitimately a medically managed and evaluated program. They offer a ton of other pretty great services (specialty non-invasive cosmetic treatments/procedures) although my focus was the hormone stuff. In conclusion, guys, if you're looking to get your T-levels up and want to get lean and in-shape, this is a highly recommended scenario. You don't know until you do an evaluation (blood work). Even if your T is at good levels, they can come up with recommendations and a treatment regimen which fits your particular needs. Give them a try, I highly recommend them and I gain nothing from doing this review...I did it because I believe they are a quality establishment with the right staff and programs to give you results you are looking for...not a bunch of promises, a realistic approach custom tailored to you!
