The employees told her it would be about 10 more minutes and even acknowledged that I was next. About 10 minutes later, one of the employees finished with her client. Instead of calling me over, the woman who had arrived after me walked over, said, "I'm just going to go now. I'm in a hurry" and took the chair. The owner allowed it without saying anything to me or acknowledging that I'd already been waiting for over 35 minutes. What frustrated me most wasn't the wait itself--it was the complete disregard for my time. If there had been an explanation or even an apology, I would have understood. Instead, they knowingly let another customer skip ahead despite telling her that I was next. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed. It's unfortunate because the quality of their work has always been good, but after this experience, I won't be returning.

BRENDA is fantastic, and RACHEL at the front desk is consistently warm, professional, and helpful. I've genuinely grown to appreciate this location, which is why today's experience was so disappointing. Brenda wasn't available, so I booked with the first available stylist, BREANNA Unfortunately, from the beginning, the interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and unprofessional. Breanna was slightly late for my appointment and immediately began criticizing the condition of my natural lashes and telling me what she thought I should be doing differently in relation to the extensions. I explained that I have been wearing lash extensions for more than 10 years, use a lash-support serum, and know the style and look that works for me. I certainly welcome professional recommendations, but I expect them to be communicated respectfully. During the appointment, she repeatedly complained about my eye twitching, even after I explained that it is involuntary and unfortunately not something I can control. While removing an extension, I felt a sharp clip/pinch to my eyelid and told her that she had hurt me. Rather than simply stopping and checking my eye, she disputed what I had experienced and attributed the pain to my twitching and a natural lash being pulled with the extension. At that point, the overall tone of the appointment had become so uncomfortable that I finally said, "You don't seem to want to do my lashes, so let's reschedule." She immediately agreed. What concerned me most was what happened afterward. Instead of allowing the interaction to end professionally, Breanna continued speaking to me in an argumentative and disrespectful manner and followed me toward the front desk. I finally had to tell her that the conversation was over and that I was no longer interested in discussing it with her which she then proceeded to tell me she was going to call the owner. I sincerely hope she was honest in explaining her unacceptable , rude and dismissive behavior to a client who could go anywhere else but loves this Lash Lounge. I have had too many positive experiences at The Lash Lounge to judge the entire salon based on one employee, and I will absolutely continue seeing Brenda. But I do believe management needs to address this employee and experience seriously. Clients should be able to disagree with a stylist, have an involuntary eye twitch, or request a particular lash style without being made to feel criticized or unwelcome. There is a big difference between offering professional advice and speaking down to a client. Today I left without having my lashes completed and feeling genuinely disappointed by how I was treated. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because, in my experience, this behavior is not representative of the otherwise excellent service I have received at this location. I would like to continue my membership and sincerely hope this will be addressed so it doesn't leave a negative mark on this otherwise wonderful Salon.

Dear Mahi, I wanted to address my recent experience at your business, as I found it deeply upsetting and unprofessional. First, I want to remind you that I am under no obligation to disclose my weight, yet you made an assumption based solely on appearance. At 5'3" and around 200 pounds, I should not have exceeded the weight capacity of your equipment, which should support at least 450 pounds. If your beds cannot accommodate standard weight limits, that is an issue with your equipment, not with me. Additionally, you initially proceeded with the service while attempting to charge me extra, yet later claimed I exceeded the weight limit. This contradiction makes it clear that your reasoning was not based on safety but rather an unfair and discriminatory assumption. Furthermore, at no point in your policies or Groupon listing was there any mention of a weight restriction, meaning I was blindsided by this treatment. Before even opening the door, you observed us from the windows, making us feel unwelcome. When I ultimately left due to my discomfort, I was able to receive the same service at European Wax Center without issue. When I shared my experience with them, they also expressed concern over the way I was treated. Your actions not only made me feel uncomfortable but also caused me to question myself--something no customer should ever have to endure. If weight was truly a concern, it should have been disclosed upfront in your policies. I hope you take this feedback seriously and reflect on how you treat customers moving forward. read more

First of all, let me start by saying if I could give 10 stars I would. I've had a handful of…read morefacials in my lifetime, some were low-end sketchy Groupon deals, others at super swanky resorts (i.e. Pelican Hill). Yesterday, I experienced the most luxurious relaxing facial at Trena Kaye Skinspa. A friend from south county had recommended her and I've been needing some TLC for my skin lately. It's hard to find a spot that's effective, safe and doesn't cost hundreds of dollars. The last one I had at PH, I left with my face glowing, but also with the distinct feeling that the snobby aesthetician just treated my head like something to be sanded. In this case, Trena made me feel lovely and well cared for the entire time. Before we started, she explained all of my options and recommended the Epicuren three layer facial. She answered all of my questions and when I asked about possible allergic reactions, she popped out her binder and listed out every ingredient. I was impressed (some spas don't even have safety data sheets and when asked whats in what I get the reply: "oh don't worry about it". Well it is my face- so yeah I'm worried.) I went with her recommendation of the three layer facial that has a tightening effect. As far as masks go, pretty standard brushing on layers. The first layer is quite a bit "spicy" but Trena kept checking my comfort level. But as each layer dried, surprising additions were her soothing massages and hot towels for your arms and legs and the cushy bed she has you lay on is heated - overall very relaxing! As far as long term results go, only time will tell but right now my face is bright, has a bit of a glow and feels so smooth! I'm very happy with this experience. Afterwards, Trena explained everything to the last detail, gave me tips on aftercare and she even gave me a few samples to try out of emulsions and a green tea mask. The location of the spot is a little tricky if you're coming from anywhere in central OC because it's like you're driving to the edge of the world. Its a long drive off Alicia. Once you enter though, it is a small dimly lit sanctuary. If you're deciding between spending $100 for a so-so facial or you're not sure about the quality or professionalism just go ahead and spend the extra 50 and get an all-star VIP treatment from Trena. She does not rush, she is safe, hygienic, professional, courteous and super knowledgeable about all things skin care. I believe she uses high quality products. I can't wait to go back and try the lactic acid peel facial.
