My husband and I had lunch here yesterday - a Monday. The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the chicken artichoke Gouda crepe and my husband ordered gluten free pancakes. Both were amazing! The chef made the pancakes fresh to order and the chef felt they turned out too small so he made my husband another larger batch and gave him both! The chicken artichoke Gouda crepe was like nothing you get at any other diners. The crepe was delicate while still sturdy to hold the savory contents, and it had just the slightest sweet taste which compliment very well the grilled chicken pieces mixed with artichoke hearts, sundried tomato's . spinach, Gouda, and a lovely Gouda crème. 10 of 10 recommend! read more

A few months ago I tried the latest iteration of what was once a great restaurant , Lil and Stan's , in Bradley. In the years since its demise, the building has housed several restaurants. Perhaps the most notorious replacement was Piggies(or something like that name). The owner in the 1980's painted the building pink as an act of defiance against the village. Later, the owner took it one step further and set fire to the building to gather Insurance proceeds. He was convicted of arson in local circuit court. Well, as I said, a few months ago, I decided to try the new restaurant occupying this classic downtown space on Broadway. I was relatively optimistic as I entered the restaurant with a friend. We selected a booth with an excellent view of the then operating dry cleaner across the street. I chose as my meal a basic breakfast staple: French toast... So, nothing fancy, like Eggs Benedict. When my French toast arrived, at first, I thought the waitress had brought the plate to the wrong table, because I did not really recognize the food on my plate as French toast. Well, when questioned, the waitress admitted that the plate she brought to my table was in fact the order I had placed. So, I settled in and began to eat the food on my plate. It resembled in some ways French toast, I suppose. But, in critical ways, related to texture and taste what I tried to eat was not French toast. Rather, it was somebody's idea of a concoction that built upon the concept of French toast. Perhaps that was a good artistic idea, but it did not satisfy my need for French toast. First of all, the service was excellent. They were quick, polite, and accommodating! They seem to have a great team of people waiting and cleaning tables. The issue is with the food. My husband had eggs, which had egg shells in them. I'm so thankful they are using real eggs, but l could do without the shells. The bacon in my omelette was undercooked and so were my hash browns. I appreciate the speed at which we were served, but would be more than happy to wait a few more minutes so things could be cooked properly. I think this place has loads of potential, but needs to slow a bit to make sure their basics are done correctly. read more

The ambiance was that of a well maintained classic cafe. The service was prompt and delightful. My waitress took my order attentively and the food arrived quite quickly even though they were busy at lunch time. My breakfast itself was a perfectly cooked scrambled egg array, and I asked her to thank the chef for his excellent skills. Delicious breakfast! Very fresh food, great selection at a reasonable price. I had the steak fajita skillet. The steak had great flavor and there was the right balance of potatoes, meat and peppers/onions. The side of pancakes were fluffy and delicious. We will be back next time we are in the area! read more

Poor customer service ! First off the waitress was too busy visiting with her friends, and correcting other tables that got the wrong order, she forgot our soup. Then when we brought it to her attention she said " oh well you don't pay for it anyway " and shrugged it off, then my Daughters chicken sandwich was undercooked, pink in the middle, again told the waitress who again shrugged it off! We attempted to tell the Manager, but she kept saying " you don't pay for soup" right we got that , but what about the undercooked chicken , do we pay extra for that! There's a reason Yolks N Berries is the best in Bradley, they have way better customer service! I called Yolks and Berries and asked them if I ate at your place for lunch and the waitress forgot my soup , chicken was undercooked what would you do. Their response" we would refund you , because happy customers comeback! read more

I love eating breakfast in the Bourbonnais area and took a chance on a new breakfast joint. The service was okay but the food was absolutely incredible. Chilaquiles aren't typically made good at breakfast places but it was made very well here. I will only be eating at this breakfast place because it is easily the best around! read more

We were passing through and we took a little detour and stopped here for breakfast. Food and service is amazing.

Food was delicious, service was excellent. Nice decor and very clean. Will plan to visit this restaurant again for breakfast or lunch.

Wanted to like this place. Started off well enough. No problem getting a seat, ordering, or getting the food, which tasted fine. Just regular diner food. Problem came after we left. Both my husband and daughter took ill. Thankfully my grandbaby and I were ok. My daughter hasnt been able to keep anything on her stomach since we ate here yesterday morning. My husband faired better but I think that's only because he had a couple shots of whiskey to help settle his stomach. Will not be back read more
