The food and atmosphere was so nice! Our waitress Addyson was so kind and attentive. The steak and seasoning of the potatoes exceeded my expectations. Will for sure be coming back if we're in back in town.

First timer! Wow! Right in my neck of the woods sits a really nice brewery called Brickstone. The establishment was had plenty of seatings from high tops to low tops. The menu also had plentiful options. We ordered the meatloaf with mashed and broccoli. It was pretty decent. Huge portions was a plus! Definitely will be going back. Check em out!

I'm only giving this place 3 stars because the food was good and the beer was cold. The little redhead bartender they have working was by far the worst service I've ever had. Extremely rude, she didn't even ask if I needed anything, how the food was or if I wanted another beer. She cared more about chatting up with 3 guys sitting down at the bar and I literally watched a couple come up sit down and after 5 mins, walk out the door. The only reason I would ever go back is if she's not there anymore. Very disappointed with the service but very pleased with the food.

We had an early dinner here on a Sunday and at 5PM they were already pretty busy, and only had high top tables available. Being vertically challenged, these are not my favorite, but I can manage. As others have mentioned though they have a lot of these high top tables, so if you have any mobility issues at all, it probably would be important to call ahead to try to get a regular table. I had a Brickstone APA which was quite good and a great deal at $5.95 for a pint. For my meal. I had a burger with a bacon-onion BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese. The BBQ sauce was excellent and featured a lot of tasty bacon. The burger itself was OK, but came well done rather than the medium I had ordered, and so was fairly dry and didn't have a ton of flavor, but the BBQ sauce saved it! No, I didn't send it back; I'd do it if it were undercooked, but being overcooked didn't stop me from eating the whole thing. The fries were crisp and nicely seasoned. Service was fast and just attentive enough to make sure we had what we needed. This is not a bad option for something nicer than fast food but still fast if you don't have a ton of time.

BrickStone is a wonderful restaurant. Great food and many delicious options available. The drinks they offer are great as well. The service was surprising quick. Our waitress and the host were very friendly. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely will return.

APA And The Giant Pretzel Sticks

BrickStone is among the better places in Bourbonnais. It still isn't that good so that says something about the dining options around here. Of course the beer is the main thing. Even that is just okay. This is also overpriced especially for the food and it's nothing even special. I thought we needed a beer and food. It was about the only good place in town so we came here. This feels a lot like a big ass chain restaurant and it might have been before this. It may be best to stick with beer. Prices for this are okay. They have a lot to choose from and it can be hard to pick something. I liked the APA. It's $5.75 for a pint. This is a pale ale and it wasn't overly hoppy like some. Also we had the Giant Pretzel Sticks and thought they were kind of crap. It's $9.99 for a few. These come with a cheese or a mustard. An okay place for watching a game. It has lots of TVs above the bar so that's the best place to sit. The overall place kind of stinks and it feels less like a brewery and more like a big chain like BJ's or something like that.

Went there today for lunch and had an amazing time! The ambiance when I first went in was very welcoming. The staff were very nice. I ordered the wings because the waiter recommended them, and they were delicious. I ordered the flame grilled pork chops and they were very tender and tasted amazing. I do have to say they are a bit pricey, but it's worth it in the amount of food that you get. I will definitely be back.

Ambiance, food, drinks and service were all top notch! We sat under the massive old timey stained glass chandelier at the big community table. What a neat idea. I had the bison burger. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to a beautiful medium just as I requested. The coleslaw had a bit too much onion, but it was still good. My Mom had tots with the trio wrap. It was so deliciously smokey. And a "fall off the porch" drink that was just peachy and not too strong for her. But Beau was the shining star of our visit. He took time to go over the menu and make suggestions. And was very attentive to refill our waters and check in after we had our first few bites without hovering. Emancipation is a brewery not a lot of people have heard of because it's not close to anything of course. Has a surprising amount of variety on tap and in cans to go. They may not have a whole lot but everything is full of flavor and quenches one's thirst. Even with it being a smaller brewery it still has quite a lot. It's got several of their own beers on tap along with a few others. There's also more cans in a refrigerator. Has the basics along with a few interesting ones. More than just the IPAs and the usual. It's about $7 a pint. The Farmer's Favorite is the IPA and is a pretty good medium one that's crisp and smooth. Has a few things to snack on here. It's about $3 for the Krack Mix. Basically like Chex Mix but it's made locally. They also will let you bring in stuff. Great place that's pretty hard to find the first time going here. It's located on N. 2500 East Rd. a few miles north of Fairbury surrounded by corn fields pretty much. They're closed Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

The wedge salad was good but was less of a wedge and more of a regular salad. Fenwick Farms has a kids menu, which features things like cheeseburgers, buttered noodles, chicken strips and other kid-friendly foods. Each kids meal comes with a side and a dessert (ice cream sundae), although we didn't get our ice cream, but it was fine because my kids didn't need anymore sugar that day. Speaking of kids: They have free arcade games to play! My kids played Pac-Man and NBA Jam while we waited for our food. The Fenwick Farms Brewing Co. beer is made right here at the brewery, and this is the first and only craft brewery in Rensselaer. They have 30 different beers on tap (most their own, some guest beers), and they offer flights. Indiana knows how to do craft beer, and FFBC is another great example of great beer.
