Honeybee is a great spot to study and gather with friends. The space is open and even has an outdoor space option. The bar seating is nice if you like to stand while studying as well. The staff is great. They are super nice & pretty fast. The espresso is delicious. Though, I must admit that the flavor is diluted as a latte. I recommend an iced cappuccino if you prefer a coffee forward drink. I love it with the brown sugar syrup! I like trying the seasonal flavors, especially since they make syrups in house. My favorite right now (spring 2026) is the banana bread latte. Parking does get tight during peak hours, but something always opens up or you could try the neighboring lots if you're doing a quick stop. read more

I came here twice in one weekend with some friends while we were visiting Knoxville. What drew me in was the great matcha reviews and the house made syrups. The first day we came, the girls behind the counter weren't very nice. Well one of them was, the other wasn't very nice to me and I was kind of taking a minute to think. I wanted their strawberry matcha but they were out of strawberry (so sad). I got a brown sugar cortado instead and two bags of coffee for home. I also wanted a sticker but they were out. The cortado was delicious. Very good drink. My friend got a BOAT (brown sugar oatmilk latte) and that was also very good. I ordered a honey lavender matcha after and that was also very good! Great color on it! The next day we came & two guys were working the counter. They were nicer for whatever reason. I order another cortado. I also ordered first in my group and they actually forgot about my drink. The guy was super apologetic about it and we had a good laugh! I wanted to try a coffee shop going through Knoxville on the way home and this was one of the most convenient ones off the exit. It's such a cute spot and I was so excited to try it. The barista was so nice when we asked what the best is and showed us the special which was a orange lavender matcha. I got the special and it tasted like fruit loops. My friend also got coffee and it was so good I ended up buying a bag of their beans. They also had a really nice area to sit and get work done. I'm glad we stopped here and I'm going to have to let my friends know. read more

They're baaaaaack Honeybee was in the news cycle for a hot minute this year. What a rollercoaster. New investor, closed, investor departed, new investors, reopened, and now they seem back to normal. Their drinks are consistent and the Matcha Latte is among the best I've had. (Take that Camp Coffee in Oceanside, CA, IYKYK) The staff is always friendly, efficient and consistent. This is a really cute coffee shop and I love the honey bee theme. The inside is spacious with cool artwork and a board with all the cool things happening in town. I came here as they were opening to get a coffee for me and for a colleague. I had an espresso that was quite good and grabbed two large drip coffees to go. They were also quite good, and my colleague was happy to throw away his hotel coffee. It seemed like a cool place to hang out, with plenty of seating and some good looking beers, but it was about 7:30 in the morning, so I didn't see what they are like when the kegs are flowing. The person who served me was very friendly and the drinks came out quickly. If I'm in the neighborhood again, I'll definitely stop by. read more

Okay. I have gotten cold brew from this location several times but never had the opportunity to enjoy the inside of this unique space. My cold brew experience was honestly a 3 (always immediately watered down, even while simply leaving the shop), but the space itself and my hot latte with a half pump of mocha today was incredible. Modern yet cozy interior in a building that used to be an auto repair shop. It now has a huge bar area, tables galore, and multiple seating spaces in back and a patio. It's a great space for sitting and working or catching up with a friend. read more

It was like a Jr.high coffee project. I've been in a couple of times, each time hoping it would get better. Not so much; but, this time was enough. Three people giggling, (that's ok.People deserve a good time where they work). I ordered just a cup of black coffee. I thanked them, tipped and left. First sip, I thought it was just me. Second, hmmmm Third,DAMN., this tastes like SOAP. I walked back calmly, and returned to the 3 folks behind the counter, not wanting to embarrass them in front of of other customers. I politely told them the coffee tasted like soap. For a moment I thought I had gone into a wax museum. All 3 just stood there blankly staring at me. To make sure I was heard, again I said " something is wrong, this tastes like soap". Honestly, nothing. Just 3 sets of eyes, no soul no humanity,nothing. My first time to Honeybee this past weekend. I stopped in late morning for my cappuccino fill, and it was absolutely hopping inside. Loved the vibes of this transformed gas station and especially the huge mural of Marilyn Monroe on the back wall. The barista, Olive, who was making my cappuccino was just a sweetheart. She complimented me on my coat and my handmade poppy pin. Nothing beats a yummy cappuccino paired with fantastic service. Will definitely have to come back and try some of their beers that they brew here as well. read more

I love this place! I saw real Italians :) coming here for coffee, and I thought they must have really good coffee and they do! They also have "real" loose leaf tea and they are delicious as well. I have to update my past review. Honeybee is probably my favorite coffee shop in West Knoxville because the coffee is just really good. They roast their own beans and make delicious espresso drinks. Also, their other food options include an assortment of snacks and treats. The parking lot is probably a mess during peak times. On our visit, we went near lunchtime and we were able to grab one of the last spots in the lot. When we walked in, we were quickly greeted. The baristas asked if we wanted beers or coffee. We were there for coffee. One suggestion would be to have more menus available. They only had one. The honey lavender iced coffee with cream was what I ordered. It was FANTASTIC! The price was okay for what you get. All of the drinks that were coming out smelled and looked delicious. There were a wide range of people in there. The people watching was pretty good. I would recommend coming here. read more

Like my last post said I would, I'm here for the second time and I brought my husband to try. We bought a Brown Sugar Latte for him and since we purchased a bag of beans, I received a FREE drip coffee. I chose the Honduras drip. My husband is a coffee snob and he approved of his latte. We enjoyed our beverages on the couches and relaxed. Considering this is a hip coffee shop, it wasn't as loud as I thought it would be. This might be my new favorite coffee shop! The atmosphere was great, with ample seating for a rather small building and several comfy chair options. The barista was so nice and helpful when I asked about alternative milks. I loved that they offered BOTH sweetened and unsweetened almond milk. Their food looked great, and their apple latte is to die for. It is such a pleasant surprise to have so many syrups available all during the year. I didn't see too many outlets, so it seems more like a great date/social coffee shop rather than a working space. Warning, the parking is a nightmare. There are few spaces they share with a restaurant but they do offer parking across a (very busy) street though. There are also several tight corners and such making navigating the lot a little nerve wracking. Ultimately though, the coffee and vibes make the parking worth it. read more

Cute little coffee shop in Farragut does have their own parking but can be limited. However, there is a golds gym right behind it that has plenty of parking if needed. I've been here several times working on schoolwork. I absolute favorite thing that I get is the maple oatmilk latte. Just trust me. It's a little sweeter, but so good. I was very intrigued by the coffee/brewery but it works well. They also have trivia nights every week and singo well. Very fun vibe and seems to be where the locals are. At first it seems a little bit small and like there aren't that many tables, but there is a back room and even a back patio as well. read more

I stopped in on a really nice day, and Honeybee had their garage doors open. It was a nice place to hang out for the afternoon. I tried a seasonal drink, the habanero maple latte. I felt like it was a little risky because I've had some heavy handed spiced coffees before. However this drink was perfectly balanced. It wasn't too sweet or too spicy, but you could also still taste the coffee. I would recommend if you're looking to shake up you're regular coffee order. read more

We first experienced HoneyBees coffee for the first time French pressed at #scrambledjakes. We were so excited to go to Costco to only see the brick and mortar for Honeybee Coffee across the street. There was so much to soak in from the first minute you enter the door way and see a Honeybee logo. Then the space takes your arm and says don't worry about the menu, lets walk around and feel the vibe. Everything is clean and the color white makes you look at what it is accenting. From warm hues counters to a mural of Marilyn Monroe. Don't worry you won't get lost with large charcoal black painted script all around the cafe telling you designations, DISHES,BOTTLES, ON TAP, RESTROOMS and of course the PATIO Yes! you read correctly, wonderful artisan beer on tap with rotating selections. There are also wonderful baked goods and some amazing vegan goodies. We ate the best Vegan cinnamon roll we have ever had. Thick sweet smooth dollops of cinnamon swirled in unexpected blissfulness. We were elated to find #farmacy chocolate chip cookies! We love the Farmacy restaurant and everything they make!! They even carry their morning egg biscuits and variety salads. I had the loose coconut chai tea seeped extra for my heavy palate for spice. It was then slowly swirled with hot milk and 2 stevias. Perfection in tea, also they have ready made concentrate if you don't want to wait for the seeping! My wife had a brown sugar latte that was perfectly blended with milk, mild and not overly sweet. We continued to enjoy the atmosphere with a feeling of community. People smiled, made eye contact, offered the WiFi password without asking and we all gave a understanding laugh smile to the young lady who dropped her China cup and made a huge sound bringing everyone together ! With all the "Specialty" Coffee Shops emerging, it's quite refreshing to find the ones that are actually capable of making a good cup of coffee! Honeybee Coffee Co. did just that! I'm a bit of a coffee enthusiast you could say, others have mentioned the word "addiction". LOL I digress; stopped into Honeybee for a regular ole Americano, because that's what I felt like this morning. As these unique establishments emerge, it seems like they can get very creative in their ability to make the "next gen" offering of diverse java. Which is great, don't get me wrong, I love learning new methods and establishing new concoctions which tantalize the tastebuds. However; this can often lead to the inability to make a regular freaking cup of coffee. Not at Honeybee! In fact, it was one of the better tasting Americanos I've had of late. Kudos to Honeybee for "keeping it real" and making good coffee. Also, it's very much worth noting the atmosphere. To my dismay, l did not get that pretzel....so my hubby and I settled on a cold "adult" liquid beverage - Gigantor Por-tor and Scruffy Little Kitty, both were tasty, quite cold and thirst quenching! There were packaged nuts and left over baked goods to snack on if so desired. This was my go to place while I was visiting Tennessee! Pros: - Loved all the atmosphere and the coffee! Loved the baristas they were all very sweet especially Rebecca - They have a point system - Oatmilk latte was on point, they use Oatly Cons: - it was a little too cold for me but if you like the ac then this place is for you! - I wanted to sit on this cute little couch but it was across the bathrooms and it smelled so had to move They only have one option for the coffee sizes so the cold was 16oz and the hot I forget how many ounces but it has 2 shots Chai with oat milk was a little too sweet for me but still good I asked for no foam because I like my lattes to be on the lighter side, all the lattes came with foam which was nice because of the beautiful artwork on top however it was on the stronger side and there isn't an option for a bigger latte. However I got them to get the extra oatmilk they didn't use all of on the side and poured that in and that was perfect! read more

Adorable find while in Knoxville! Came in for the name and cute decor, but stayed for the excellent coffee! While navigating the local Knoxville area (on the way to Obed Park), I typed in "coffee" on a Google map search. This location, among others, came up on my feed (the second Honeybee location closer to the town's center/bridge is also good). Loved it! What a great find. I ordered the cappuccino and tried one of their "milk" alternatives. They offer, along with regular milk/cream, almond, soy and macadamia nut milks. I tried macadamia nut milk and it actually made the cap even creamier! A nice surprise. I also ordered a slice of banana bread from their small selection of baked goods. It was so soft, dense and had the perfect amount of sweetness. I had to order it again the next few days that I went. My partner ordered a latte, as well as a regular thermos of coffee and a jalapeno kolache baked good which was also excellent! They toasted it up and cheesy goodness spilled out. On our subsequent days visiting Knoxville, we visited Honeybee two more times and brought friends! It was so good that we had tell others and return for extra visits! We were hiking in the Obed during the cold mornings, and the thermos we brought of Honeybee coffee saved us! Such smooth flavor and delicious. Without a doubt, the coffee was brewed very well!! Recommend! They also sell these adorable thermoses themselves with the Honeybee logo. I purchased one to remember my time here. read more

Only coffee shop in the area that uses a high quality matcha powder! The first time I got it hot and it was great! However every time I order it iced it is very milky(very light green color and not much matcha flavor). The last time I went I asked if they could make it stronger and the workers said they can't do that and acted like I made an unreasonable request. I would suggest increasing the amount of matcha powder used for the iced version. read more

We went there because we had our mini Aussie with us and it's generally hard to find a place that is welcoming to pets. Staff there were very friendly and courteous. The London Fog was delightful but I wish there was a larger size. Overall, it was just a really neat place to grab a cup of something warm and spend time with friends (and fur babies.) read more

I stopped by here this past Thursday morning with my wife for our morning coffees. We happened to be in the Knoxville area and so consulted Yelp for a coffee place and Honey Bee came up and we headed on over. This Honey Bee location is co-located with a garage and so parking in their designated lot is at a premium. However their is a road next door where you can also park which is what we saw another customer do. The inside of the shop was fairly crowded and brightly lit. They had hand sanitizer and some disposable masks for those that didn't have them. For our coffee on this morning I decided to go with a macadamia nut latte while my wife went with a small coffee. We waited for a few minutes before we got our coffee and were out the door. My latte here ended up being really good as I thought there was the perfect portion of milk to espresso. The macadamia nut milk also had a nutty flavor with a slight sweetness on the finish which I really enjoyed paired with the coffee. My wife wasn't as big of a fan though as she thought that her coffee tasted somewhat bitter and due to that she didn't end up finishing it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I really enjoyed my macadamia nut latte and would be happy drinking one of those every morning. read more

I made a Yelp collection to map out my stops on a recent road trip from ATL to Detroit, and I am SOOOO GLAD I included Honeybee Coffee. I arrived to Honeybee right around 10 am, so I was hungry and in dire need of a fancy coffee. I trusted the other reviews and I am so happy I did! At first, I was stunned by how cute this coffee shop was. It's definitely in an upcycled auto building - there are garage doors (which were closed, because I think it was about to rain) that roll up and the whole space is really open. There was actually some good social distncing potential inside, but there is also a v safe patio in the back! Another place to note - this place is PALEO FRIENDLY!!!! This is nearly impossible to find on a road trip. They carry a line of locally-baked "BYL" sweets, which are all paleo and fun and nut-free!!! It's always a pleasant surprise when I can find Paleo snacks. I am about 95% paleo, so these certainly helped fuel my drive. They also have regular snacks and Pastel De Nata! I haven't seen fresh PDN since I last returned from Portugal. they looked adorable and delicious, but I wasn't quiiiiite willing to break my diet for them. I got those paleo snacks and an iced latte. There are a few different milk alternatives, as well as whole milk and 2% milk. They do not have nonfat milk. The iced latte was made with cold brew coffee concentrate instead of espresso, which made for a delightfully light drink. At first, I thought it was a bit too weak, so the barista happily added more cold brew concentrate, and it was JUST perfect! read more
