A welcoming coffee shop with homemade syrups and high quality ingredients. It took me awhile to come here, because they don't have a matcha latte on their menu. One day my husband stopped in solo for a drip coffee and asked if they had matcha lattes and they said yes. So, now there's a reason for me to come here. lol There's lots of seating and rooms you can reserve and it has a welcoming and homey atmosphere. Only improvement: actually list matcha latte on your menu, otherwise it would have been one lifetime stop for me and I wouldn't have come back. Just a thought.

I really enjoyed this cozy, welcoming spot! Met a friend here and we had an abundance of different nooks to choose from. Tables/chairs, couches, armchairs, and even a vault with a couch area and a hidden room with separate table in a conference-esque setup. They have some really creative seasonal drinks and then some tasty staples like cold brews and lattes. I had both a hot latte (creamy, rich, and flavorful) and a seasonal Black and Brew, which is vanilla cold brew with an amazingly unexpected blackberry cold foam. It was delicious and (surprisingly) not too sweet. Prices were competitive with the area and the service was great. Can't wait to go back, even though I live all the way in Oak Ridge.

I've driven past this establishment on many occasions and it's peeked my curiosity each time. So, today was the day I found time to actually stop in to see what's being offered. It's a former bank converted into a relaxed coffee house. Lots of folks enjoying drinks of their choice along with tasty bites, while scrolling through their laptops, books, phones, etc.. I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with drip coffee. It was freshly prepared and quite yummy. The prices are reasonable and the staff is warm and friendly. If you're in the area, definitely stop by, you won't be disappointed.

Commonplace, only open a week, is already a gift to the community. It's a joyful place for gathering, sharing, eating and drinking. Aside from all the amazing coffee and coffee drinks, they have a fantastic selection of bagels and bagel sandwiches, cinnamon rolls (GF also available) donuts and pastries. The atmosphere is perfect for working or social environments. Makes sure and check out the old vault (former bank building) that has been turned in to two rooms; one with a couch and one with a small conference table. It is clear the staff is eager to please, enjoys their job, and is ready to serve every customer who walks in the door. I cannot wait to see all the amazing things that come out of this gathering place disguised as Knoxville's newest coffee shop. You don't want to miss it!

I love that they kept the vault from when the location was a bank. There is seating inside...fun!

Cute coffee house in an old bank. The old vault is still there with seating inside. We tried lattes and a scone when we stopped in. The coffee was great and the atmosphere was pleasant. We'll be back the next time we are in the area.

Love this place! It was an old bank and they turned the vault into a little seating area, so fun! It has a lot of space and is super cute inside. They carry Richy Kreme donuts and bagels, and they make some of their own unique syrups. I got just an iced coffee with a little creme and lots of ice today and ohhhhh it was refreshing! I loved it! The owners are super involved in the community and really great people, and now they make great coffee too!!

The property is gorgeous, flowers everywhere and various water features. Definitely felt like we'd stepped right into The Shire. The staff was super friendly and helped us through the property and explained what access we had as non-guests. Ax throwing and archery were really fun and not crowded, each group had dedicated lanes. After our hour was up we migrated to the dinning area and all sat at our separate tables. Meals are seated together with a pre planned menu. Food tasted great. Since you prepay for the meal and activity there is no waiting for the check. But remember to tip the staff because that's not included in the prepayment. They have a jar on the entry table to the dinning room. Would love to return to as a guest and get the full experience.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming--they genuinely make you feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. The crispy chicken was perfectly done, and the tiramisu was delicious. I especially loved staying in the new treehouse. It felt peaceful, unique, and unlike any stay I've experienced before. The archery and axe throwing activities were such a fun bonus--honestly, I've never seen another place offer this kind of experience. It made the stay even more memorable. Overall, this isn't just a place to stay--it's a full experience. I'll definitely be coming back again!

We checked out the museum, a food spot, a few spots around town, and this (garden)? They have a ton of space and there is a thoughtful layout. The trail to walk through a forest area is probably the best thing about the place. Worth a stop? Maybe, but realize that this botanical gardens has a long way to go before it's ready for primetime. Being a smaller market, I assume it's a funding issue. There were some workers/volunteers there trying to make the place alluring and presentable. We tend to enjoy outdoor spaces, so the Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum was on our itinerary for the day. Driving the short distance from downtown through residential neighborhoods, we certainly wouldn't have found the Gardens without our GPS -- and even then we questioned whether we were going the right way! Upon reaching, the plentiful parking spots were nearly full. It turns out that there was a wedding reception going on so a (relatively small) part of the gardens was closed to the public. We started in the Visitor's Center, where a very helpful staff member (or volunteer?) told us about the gardens, gave us a map, told us what areas were off-limits, and sent us on our way. Note that there are restrooms in the visitor's center. The gardens are located on 47 acres of the former Howell Nurseries, and feature walking paths, display gardens, unique and historic horticulture, and over two miles of distinctive stone walls and timeless buildings. The Garden is privately owned and operated and supported through donations and membership. Admission was FREE. We enjoyed walking around the well-maintained gardens but, given that it was already late September, there were few plants in bloom. It was a peaceful place to walk and to relax, and to enjoy a view of the Smokies in the distance. If we lived in the area, we would likely return at different times when flowers are blooming, and full likely attend some of their events. For instance, on Nov 14th, there's a class on "Forages Wreath Making", wherein participants walk around the gardens to forage for plants and materials to make a festive and natural holiday wreath.

Inside, it has a touch of 70's flair and midcentury pizzazz in a small but serene space. Seating is limited, with a few cozy seating spots and many bar seats and low-top tables. The wi-fi was rockin' and many outlets being put to good, techie use. The barista warmly greeted us and quickly got to work with our creations-a cold brew and a hot latte. There is a $1 upgrade for dairy alternatives and any sugar and sweetener is in a self-serve area, not added into the drink (although the barista asked me if that's okay, thus, I think she would have added if I preferred that). They have sugar and stevia, as an FYI for anyone who wants/needs a different option. They have a few baked treats and a few seasonal coffee flavors and add-in flavors and beyond that, the drink menu is simplistic. My latte was the creamiest, foamiest latte in all the land. The coffee itself was a touch more bitter than we like but we were able to doctor it up nicely with stevia. Cute spot with a lovely view of the surrounding, scenic neighborhood.
