I appreciated her eagerness to help and positive attitude despite my late arrival. The baked goods sadly didn't really live up to my expectations. The cranberry oat scone was the much better of the two; it was pleasantly sweet and had the proper scone texture and only a little dry. Unfortunately, the hand tart had several edges that I discovered later had been burnt. This impacted the flavor of the whole item and sadly diminished it greatly. The fruit filling was tasty at least, though I didn't get much raspberry from it -- mostly blueberry. I'd be down to try again in the future, just would come earlier in the day when the selection is a bit larger and the products available are a bit more "choice," let's say. We didn't get our food until an hour later. Just as long of a line when we were done eating as there was when it opened. We were not expecting to wait that long and almost left, but everyone in line said that it is well worth the wait, so we stayed. I'm very glad we did. We went on a Saturday morning in the summer so we took turns checking out the farmers market just a few blocks away to help pass time. Great move there! The service was friendly and as inviting as the space itself. My cappuccino that I had here is now one of my favorites in all of Knoxville. I love the enclosed porch area where we sat and enjoyed every bite of our croissants, and already can't wait for the next weekend when we're back.

There is a $1 upgrade for dairy alternatives and any sugar and sweetener is in a self-serve area, not added into the drink (although the barista asked me if that's okay, thus, I think she would have added if I preferred that). The cold brew was quite the adventure, taking in every layer, one at a time. What started out as subtle sweetness quickly turned into a cacao aroma and ended at citrus tartness. Small but mighty brick and mortar shop in a quaint neighborhood across from a church and lined with other local businesses. Bar stools, lounge chair, work bench, they've got it all. Not only did they have a great selection of espresso beans, the barista was happy to educate me on the different options. I also got a dark chocolate bar made in Asheville that was absolutely fantastic! My hot Cortado to go was delicious and high on the caffeine side. (My favorite!!) There is adequate seating for studying, working, or chatting with friends and the atmosphere is warm and relaxing with good WiFi. They have several family style restrooms that are easy to access. The only challenge is that parking can be difficult, but it's inner city....what did I expect? The barista was super fast and had an amazing attitude. I will 100% be back!
