After a quick yelp search for burger places and reading reviews we stopped in to give this place a shot. Nice sports bar type environment with bar and booth and table seating. It's located in a business complex/hotel complex environment. Plenty of parking and kind of "alone" by itself without any other eating establishments in close proximity. In fact if you were not looking for it it's likely you would miss it. Service was good, atmosphere was inviting. Waitress was friendly. Menu offerings were ample and sounded appealing along with being priced modestly. Food arrived to order and hot. And was really good. My spouse and I both got burgers and fries. All of which was cooked to order and we enjoyed it. If you are in town looking for a place to eat that's not a chain restaurant or what "locals" would automatically suggest like "Calhoun's". We initially stopped in just to get a beer as they have a great selection of local and regional craft beers. Along with the beers, we ordered a half order of the nachos. Not your ordinary nachos. The base was EXCELLENT house made potato chips! Next some usual toppings but the addition of beer cheese and sautéed jalapeños really made these a standout snack. Because we were so impressed with our visit so far, we ordered a Bousin Burger and subbed a salad instead of fries as we'd had plenty of chips!! My hub & I went on a rainy day, wanted to catch apps & drinks. The tap house wasn't busy when we got there, but as time progressed, it got busier. The waitress was friendly & suggested a drink or two. I was surprised at some of the appetizers they had, like bruschetta. Idk about you, but I relate that with an Italian restaurant, but that was cool. It was really good! We've been to Tennessee Tap House many times, usually to see live music. The bartenders are great, and the food is wonderful.

This was my second time here. The first time was for lunch and I noticed the wedge salad and I just had to order it. The soup of the day was chicken tortilla so I had a cup of that with my salad. A friend had the homemade potato chips and queso dip.I don't remember what it's called on the menu but they were very good. As for the wedge salad it and the soup were absolutely delicious. On my second trip, I brought my wife. We each had a half wedge salad and it was just as good as the first time. We shared a medium That's Amore Pizza. We use to have a pizza chain in the area called Godfather's Pizza. That store left the area so you can't get it around here anymore. I just loved their pizza. I also love Papa John's pizza and until I tried That's Amore Pizza here at Tennessee Tap House I thought you couldn't get better that Papa John's. The Tennessee Tap House pizza reminded me so much of Godfather's Pizza. It is made from fresh ingredients and is just so delicious. The wedge salad and pizza was just the perfect combination. We also had very good attentive service from our waitress. I am now planning on celebrating my upcoming birthday here with family. read more

Food was good, service wasn't. We waited forever for anything we asked for which was a sauce, and a refill. The waitress was nice but kept telling us she was going to take care of another table before she did anything for us. And the manager im assuming was standing behind my wife talking to a couple friends who were eating the entire time we were there- she never left the table and didn't acknowledge anyone in the entire restaurant, just her friends. Prob not going to go back for a long time, again the food was good but I wouldn't tolerate that a second time. read more

We eat here every time we're in Knoxville. Always seem to gravitate back here when in town. We love everything we've had from the pizzas to the appetizers. Don't care for the music nights, as it's just way too loud in such a confined space and I cannot converse with my family. Won't be back on a music night but any other time we love it. read more

The cheeseburger was decent but lacked a little seasoning. Perfectly cooked but lack luster in taste. The chicken wings were nice size and the right amount of tangy heat buffalo sauce tossed on them. Wings were a hit on that occasion. The pizza is a thin crust style. I found the pizza crust to be a little burnt, which caused a slight off taste. Pizza sauce was decent but a little sweet flavoring. Good food and always seem busy! I have ordered take out multiple times and the bartenders are always friendly. The wings are great! I loved their Sunday brunch buffet, it rivaled Copper Cellar. Went here last night to watch the NFL games. Food was fantastic. I had the boursin burger with house chips and a side of their 'VOLcano" sauce. Really good. Bartender was great. Stopped in to pick up our carry out order. The bartender was great. She had taken our order over the phone. We picked up their Grateful Garcia pizza and a smokehouse burger. Food was good. The smokehouse burger could have used a bit more bbq sauce so you might want to ask for a side of it if you do carry out. We were staying in a nearby hotel and got to take a couple beers to go.
