New to the area and of course I have to find my new favorite Chinese restaurant! Upon seeing this place it's in a plaza decently easy to get into. Place was busy for a Sunday night but they sat us right away. The staff was super nice and friendly and the place was clean. We got wonton soup with sesame and general tso chicken. Both looked similar in color. The wonton soup was to die for! The flavor was absolute amazing and had so many goodies you must get this. The chicken was the best crisps chicken I've ever had crunchy and each piece was cooked perfectly. The downside for me would be the flavor for some reason it wasn't as flavorful as I wished it was. Definitely will be back to try other items. Also the Ragoons wee super yummy too next time I'm going to ask for some sweet chili sauce for the side to dip, their dip was a bit sweet.

Detroit transplant here! Only people who grew up loving Chinese food in these parts know what ABC Chicken, Almond Boneless Chicken, or War Shu Gai is. They don't make this in Florida so I told Max that we needed to get it. My friend Julie said this was her favorite spot so we met up with her. The inside is your typical Chinese Restaurant. So happy to have had quality time with my husband and friend.

The best ABC in the area! One of the few authentic places left that do it right. Cooked evenly, placed on lettuce and topped with almonds and scallions. Perfect gravy, unlike the pasty milk versions out there. Cravable dish!

A friend and I went to Hong Kong Cafe last night for dinner. The food was excellent and the service was great! It was truly the best Chinese food I've had in a long time. We both got rolls, egg rolls, soup and I got their Almond Chicken and she got their Beef Lo Mein. We also shared an order of fried won tons with some sweet and sour sauce for dipping. Although my friend wasn't crazy about her Beef Lo Mein, I really liked my Almond Chicken. We both can't wait to go back and try other dishes. The portions are large too. My husband ate some of my dinner when I got home and really liked it. Our waitress was really nice and the booths are very roomy making it really comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Chicken Szechuan is really good! The chicken tasted great and the vegetables were fresh. I Grabbed a couple of extra rolls too.

This is part of a multi-use group of buildings and they seem to have the prime spot right at the corner. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a clean and pleasant space with high ceilings and green and gold decor. It's all new and there is a variety of seating types. I chose to sit at a small table near the side entrance. They have so many great food and beverage options, it was hard to choose. The nice young lady who took my order was very patient with me - I had lots of questions being my first time here. I ended up with a Mocha Pearls drink, Nutella Dubai Baklava, and an Almond Croissant. The drink was supposed to have chocolate pearls in it but I suppose since I ordered it hot, they melted. It basically tasted like a chocolate mocha so I would like to come back and try something different next time. The baklava sent me to the moon and back - I love chocolate baklava and it's hard to come by. Add the "Dubai" crunch kataifi with pistachio and I'm done! It was amazing! The Croissant was served warm and it had an almond paste inside. Soooo fresh and good! I love the attention to details and the care they took to serve everything so visually appealing. I appreciate that added touch. I will be back - and likely often!

In all fairness, I'm probably not the target market here - they have a huge drink menu with lots of different syrups and flavorings but I'm more of a no frills coffee person. The first time I got a plain latte and it was just ok, so this time I tried one of their specialties - the Mont Cloud. I assumed it would be mostly coffee and some cream but I guess it was a cloudy day because it was mostly cream (and ice) for $7. I also decided to try the basbusa because I've never had it before, but again ended not being up my alley since it's syrup-soaked. Oh well. The inside is decorated really cute and there's lots of different kinds of seating. They also have an outdoor patio area. Free parking since this coffee shop is located in a little strip mall. 3.5 stars overall.

In fact, a few years before, they built a questionably-located apartment building in the middle of parking lot so view of the place is utterly and completely blocked from the road. The place is cavernous and has plenty of hangout space and tables for groups. I've been here three times, mainly when the place is empty and I am the only one or close to the only present. But the barista/staff have always been very pleasant and kind, which is a bonus. There's ample parking (church/former theater, remember?). The place has great natural light and comfortable couches. It's a very good place to grab a latte and chill, by yourself or with others. Unlike other places, they're not blasting music to drown out all conversations and there's very little echo to the place, never mind how large it is. They even post a welcome sign to hangout; just don't bring outside food/beverages. In today's environment when people are looking for a place to be legit chill, they have plenty of places to choose from. Panera and Starbucks are annoyingly loud/rude and corporate. I'd rather choose local. Choose this place at least once or before you know it, we won't have as many of them.

We could've hung out with her for hours, alas we weren't the only ones there and the everyone-is-a-regular vibe that Novel gives off sent Rachel over to some newly arrive customers to welcome them in.
