Came here for take out dinner on Father's Day. The combo plates were large servings. The Chicken broccoli, sweet and sour chicken and spareribs were all good. I had the ginger chicken with green beans which was good though beans were slightly over cooked. Ribs had nice flavor. Crab rangoons were very good. Egg rolls and fried rice were decent. Sesame beef had a lot of breading and had a sweet flavor. Located on Williston Road near the airport. They told us 20 minutes but it took a little longer. The place I usually order from (Jin's, my go to spot) is not open on Tuesdays and I wanted Chinese. So, I shopped around a bit, read some reviews and settled on this place. Honestly, I wish I had just waited until tomorrow instead of wasting my money today. The food was just NOT GOOD. The only thing I can say I enjoyed was the egg roll, which was crispy and delicious, though I was pretty hungry and it was the first thing I ate. I always order sesame chicken and broccoli w/ white rice, general Taos chicken, egg rolls and veggie fried rice. The fried rice was bland not only in flavor but looks as well. It just looked washed out and all the same color. The white rice I originally thought had butter in it because it wasn't white, but it didn't so I have no idea why it was slightly yellow. The only difference I could taste or see between the two chickens was one had sesame seeds on it. The sauce was so thick and gelatinous and looked like it came from a bottle. Neither had any spice to it at all, it just tasted sweetly bland and the texture made me want to spit it out. The broccoli looked good but was slightly underdone (which is way better than soggy imo). The fortune cookie I attacked with abandon because I was starving at that point and hey, you can't mess up a prepackaged cookie right?! Wrong. It was stale. All in all, the food was beyond disappointing and I will not be returning. My son and I are in the process of visiting every Chinese restaurant in Chittenden County. We always order the same thing. I order a chicken and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll. My son orders a sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and teriyaki sticks. Price: On the low end at $17.33. Portion: 4.2 lbs between the two meals is about average. Pros: The pork fried rice which had bits of pork and sauteed onion was flavorful and moist. The chicken & broccoli sauce consistency was perfect. It's often excessively liquid at other Chinese takeouts. Cons: Sesame chicken sauce had an unappealing gelatinous texture. Restaurant curb appeal. Impression: Good food at an affordable price. We cook dinner from scratch most nights so when we go out to dinner, it's "a thing" and we're pretty adventurous on the menu - but you and I both know that everyone... even you... needs Chinese takeout. Maybe you make it 60 days, but right around then, it happens. Crispy chicken wings, egg rolls, General's Chicken, Crab Rangoon... yeah... it's already starting in your brain, isn't it? If it wasn't, you wouldn't even be reading this. Well, stop reading and pick up the phone, my friend. This is our spot, and it should be yours; eight tables, mostly takeout, Americanized Chinese takeout. Family owned, family run, and always fresh. We generally get the PuPu Platter, Crab Rangoons, Lo Mein, General's Chicken or one of the combination plates. The portions are always generous, and flavors have never, in 13 years, done us wrong. While you can order at the counter and wait for it, I highly recommend you call when you're about 15 minutes away to place the order and when you arrive it will be fresh and ready to go. very disappointed they charge 12% for using a card, debit or credit it doesn't matter, they don't disclose it anywhere either! The food was decent however when I got the total it was over $50 off of where it should've been, I asked 4 times for the total even called back to ask them about it and they didn't disclose it until the food had arrived and they were taking my card... what was I going to say take the food away?! No! I have 8 people in my house to feed... I asked the delivery driver for a reciept and he said it would be texted to me, it was just a text message with the total for the order. before eating the food I called them back and asked for a copy of an itemized reciept again, they said they would send it, they didn't so I called back again and they sent me a hand written paper with the items on it... very disappointed in them, will not be going back and would not recommend unless you want to be robbed blind. shameful to think that they do this to people who would never know! read more

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the sauce on the chicken is a little thick and pasty for my taste, but hey definitely worth the 10$. Today We ordered chicken chow mein received a bowl of soggy onions a couple strips of carrots and little chunks of chicken! It was seeping all over the bag when my son brought it home. I called to see if maybe there was a mistake or if we could switch it out for something different. I very much wanted to like this restaurant. In October or November 2023 I ordered teriyaki chicken appetizer. The person who took my order was very nice. The service when I arrived to pick up the order was equally nice. The price and size of order was good. Everything was good except the flavor. Unlike other chinese restaurants I've been to in the area the teriyaki chicken just tasted sugary. It looked like there was soy sauce in it as well. Coming from Florida, I didn't expect much by way of Chinese food in Vermont (not because Florida has great Chinese food, but because it doesn't, despite its greater ethnic diversity.) I quickly discovered Vermont's Chinese takeout scene is, on average, much better than Florida's. This place quickly grew into my favorite spot for some quick Chinese takeout. It's located in a strip mall, and the decorum is not much to write home about, but that's not usually a deciding factor in where most people order Chinese takeout. It's always clean, the food is ready quickly, the food is extremely affordable, and it's consistently good. They definitely have my favorite General Tso's chicken in town; it's always crispy when fresh, the sauce is a little ginger-forward and sweet. My wife always gets various non-fried chicken dishes, and loves their chicken wings. read more

I just moved to Vermont from sunny San Diego and have been craving good Chinese spot. I found this place on yelp and the reviews matched the food. The food is delicious, fresh, non greasy and not salty. And it's great warming up the next day. Must must get the dumplings. Chicken wings were crispy and delicious. I also love this place as its small family owned which i support . The mom and dad were cooking in the back and kids were helping with the order. I only order General Tso's Tofu from cheap Chinese restaurants. It's just my thing. This was literally the worst I've ever had. The tofu was soggy yet someone how burned and the sauce was so flavorless I had to add hoisin just to get it down. Having spent many many many years working the overnight tour in an ambulance in Harlem, seeing this place for the first time was a bit of nostalgia. Classic family run Chinese restaurant. It doesn't look like much, a sorta austere dining area, and the requisite plexiglass at the register, but it's clean. The people are awfully nice. The kitchen, what I could see, looked good too. Then there was the food. I am a dumpling fanatic/snob as my waistline will attest. The pan fried dumplings were great. Not the very best I've ever had but very pleasing and their dipping sauce is very good. Not the garden variety watered down soy and rice vinegar with some garlic and a couple of scallions for color, a real dipping sauce. The Szechuan wontons in chili sauce are tasty as well. The pork fried rice actually had pork in it and was pretty good, certainly better than the more common soy colored almost flavorless fried rice I've endured so often before with the one or two tidbits of pork serving to justify the advertising. The General Tso's chicken was pretty good if a little sweet but then again speaking only for myself, if I don't cauterize any potential hemorrhoids in the morning I didn't get it spicy enough. I had the House Lo Mein and Pork Lo Mien and both were tasty I only wish more shrimp were in the house Lo Mein. This restaurant is very clean, staff friendly. Great, locally-owned business run by a lovely, small family. The daughters are always so polite on the phone when I call in to order. They also ring you out while their mother cooks in the back. Everyone is very friendly. Although if you want table service, I'd look elsewhere. This is truly a take-out place, folks. There are a couple tables, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually eat-in here. There's so much foot traffic and the phone is constantly ringing. I don't think it would be a very nice dining environment anyway, but take-out is totally fine, and in fact preferred, by me. They use white meat chicken, which is not that common at Chinese restaurants, but it's so tasty and not chewy like dark meat sometimes is. Great sesame chicken, chicken with broccoli, and fried rice. I really like the Szechuan dumplings too. The best bang for your buck is definitely one of the combos. Portion sizes are very generous and everything looks like it was prepared and cooked with care.
