Dragon House has my all time favorite steamed pork dumplings! It's the best sauce to come with dumplings at any restaurant I've had. I love their low mein and chicken fingers too. My son and I are in the process of visiting every Chinese restaurant in Chittenden County. We always order the same thing. I order a chicken and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll. My son orders a sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and teriyaki sticks. Price: On the very low end at $16.80 or $.25/oz. Portion: 4.3 lbs between the two meals is about average. Pros: The pork fried rice was flavorful and moist. Cons: Restaurant curb appeal. Impression: Good food at an affordable price. Hinesburg residents are fortunate to have this very popular Chinese take-out restaurant in our village. Good food, diverse menu and service is prompt except when the restaurant is overwhelmed with the number of orders which happens occasionally and is understandable with a small hard-working staff. When I have to wait for my order I marvel at the skill and speed the cook displays preparing orders. We usually get the Moo Shu Pork and Hot & Sour Soup and have never had a bad experience. read more

Very good Chinese take out. The dining area is closed due to Covid but it wasn't much to begin with. The kitchen is open to the waiting area and is understaffed during rush periods with one cook and the owner assembling orders. The son runs the front of store. The food is very good but the order to delivery time can be off depending on volume. You can nearly count on orders running late for Friday and Saturday dinner times. Our standard order includes the dumplings, Singapore Noodles, Sesame Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, Orange Chicken, and Chicken and Broccoli made a little spicy. read more

I normally would get the combo meal for lunch or dinner. The crab Rangoons are delicious.... Pork fried rice is good. I would just like it to be heated up more and normLly get the sweet and sour chicken. Definitely going to try other meal combos. read more

Everything you'd expect if i told you it was "small town Chinese takeout," but don't consider that too harsh. I think they're on par with, or better than, most of the take out in Burlington. I usually get veggie based dishes when I have Chinese take-away, and their garlic broccoli and "spicy" (eg not-at-all-spicy) green beans are pretty good bets. Or try the General Tao's Tofu. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Vermont. The owner is super nice everytime. Always, get tons of food. Their wonton soup is so nice. Also, if you don't want rice with the combination. You can get Lo mein for extra 3 bucks. I highly recommend it. read more

I just ordered shrimp chow mein with mixed vegetables as a combination ( w pork fried rice) and got soggy bean sprouts , onions and carrots mixed with shrimp in a puddle of water with no noodles at all except the bagged crunchy "chow mein" noodles on the side... thumbs down. Dragon House in Hinesburg tends to be extremely busy on Friday nights. The woman packing the food in the back seems to get flustered and prepares tickets out of order resulting in some have to wait an unexpected extremely long time for their pick up. Due to the lack of communication, the time given on the phone when ordering can sometimes be doubled when you go to pick up. Also, they don't heat the restaurant. It is freezing in the winter. Although the customer service could be better, the food is good. read more
