Some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The included egg rolls are free for a reason! The wrapper is so thick and over done you can't bit through them. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Everything is made fresh to order, and was incredibly flavorful. The woman taking and preparing our order was kind and friendly. The ambience of the space felt comforting and like someone's home. Both Lo mein noodles were nice, soft, and chewy, and had excellent flavor. Chicken teriyaki skewers were flavorful, tender, and had a great crispy exterior. The pork potstickers were huge and extremely flavorful-- especially in the dipping sauce provided! The crab rangoons were perfectly crispy, not oily, and went well with the orange dipping sauce. Spring rolls were also perfectly crispy, not oily, and flavorful. The. Absolute. WORST. We are staying in a nearby hotel not especially hungry we wanted some nice Fried pork Dumplings. It was like someone made an especially thick American style full-blown pancake made out of rice flour and wheat flour half an inch thick wrapped around a tablespoon of pork filling. Horrible! They had run out of the vegetable dumplings so we also got steamed pork dumplings Which were even worse and then because they felt They added in order of Spring rolls which were bizarrely rolled seriously like 7 layers thick in Spring roll wrapper which was raw. We ordered combo dinners-twice cooked pork and general Teo's chicken. The food was delivered faster than expected. There was a TON of food. Easily, each dish was enough for two meals. Each came with an appetizer and fried rice. The pork had fresh giant mushrooms, perfectly cooked carrots and peppers, and bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. Plenty of sauce in the bottom. The chicken, I don't know how they did it, was actually still crispy despite being drenched in sauce. The sauce delicious. Not very spicy. It was not served with vegetables. After reading the previous yelp reviews, I was hesitant to try out this place. Yet, I still gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. I had such a great experience here and the food was delicious. I absolutely loved their chicken and broccoli over white rice. My order was packed with care, nothing spilled. The staff was kind and helpful, service with a smile. Price: $22.00 or $.32/oz is slightly above the average price we would find in Chittenden County. Portion: 4.4 lbs between the two meals is on the higher side of the average range. Consistently good american style take out chinese food. Always nice portions and low cost. Great value. Excellent and friendly service. They also take great care to bag everything properly so it doesn't leak in your car. We really appreciate their care and attention to detail! We love their spare ribs or bonless spare ribs, beef terriyaki, egg drop soup, and chicken with string beans. They will also make more traditional chinese off menu items by request. I think it is very bad business and dishonest the way you batter your Fried food with so much glutenous flavorless breading. I ORdered ORange chicken this time and ordered your General Tso's before with the same findings. I removed the breading from the bits of chicken in each nugget and you already know what I found. THe CHicken dark meat weighed just 1.57 oz for the entire order and the breading weighed 5.62 oz.!!!!(SEe PIcs!!!) $14 dollars for 1.57 oz. of chicken, a few vegetables and a cup of white rice??? You must be doing really well cheating the public??? This apparently is your accepted way of doing business at all your locations. Buyer beware I guess so this buyer will not only stop buying from you but also will make sure anyone that will listen to me about your dishonest practices including my friends at NBC channel FIve. Their website says you can pay with a card you give the information and then when they show up they re asking for cash saying they don't take the card on the site. I ask for chopsticks, I don't get them. I placed an order tonight at 8:30. The order went through. I received an email saying it would be here in an hour. It is now 10:15 the restaurant is closed and I never received my food . Now I'm sitting here hungry and nothing else can be delivered before they close. My friend and I (she is a regular customer and has been for years) ordered takeout at 7:30 pm. They said it would arrive at 8:45. When it hadn't arrived by 8:55 we called and were basically blown off. "It'll get there soon, calm down." It arrived an hour late, at 9:45. I asked the driver how he was going to rectify what happened. He offered no solution except "it was busy" so I asked to speak with the owner. I didn't want to post a negative review on social media (I used to work in the restaurant industry and know how damaging that can be).  So, I reached out to the restaurant via email and after 3 days they never got back to me. So, here we go. Everything we ordered was not good at all. The chicken dishes were way over breaded and doughy, more doughy breading than meat. Not crispy. And, the chicken inside was different colors. The spare ribs were more like jerky - very dry and very chewy. The vegetables were over cooked, mushy, and the sauce was slimy. The lo mein noodles were mushy and sticky. Basically, everything tasted pre-cooked, left heated, and then microwaved before being packaged.  This was our first time ordering from them. We ate a couple of bites of everything and 97% of the food went in the trash. Sad waste of food. read more

I go to school 2 minutes down the road from Lee's and when I discovered it earlier this year in September I was excited and happy to finally be able to get a hot cheap lunch everyday. Because of my insane number of food allergies I was unable to ever eat school lunch but a quick note to remove the egg and I could get pork fried rice five days a week. I planned to do this for the rest of the year but one day they burned my rice. I thought sure it's a shady place and it's a bit rustic in nature but I'll give it another chance it wasn't awful even burnt. Ok Thursdays my friend started getting it with me. By the end of September maybe the second week of this cycle my friend and me walk up to get our food we placed online. As per usual I asked for it without egg. We ordered it as a combo dish to save money which linked our meals together but we asked for my rice to be in a separate container. My friend ordered an item listed as a noodle dish on their sight with beef and such. When we got there we went up to the counter. The lady who was tending it asked me a question about my order. She asked if it was with no egg which is what I ordered. I said yes to which she responded that it was FIVE DOLLARS EXTRA to get my order WITHOUT EGG. That's five dollars less to get less food. Then she charged us for the container to separate the food. Then my friend came up and asked for his food to which she stated the following "Not a noodle dish." He didn't even ask but it was clear she knew that a mistake had been made and was trying to cover her tracks by telling him he didn't order a noodle dish. As we walked back we laughed and joked at the terrible service we had. I unfortunately had to treat my food like a minefield so as to avoid the egg. When we got back to the school we sat down and opened our food. My food looked fine but my friends looked interesting. As he ate a few bites he tried the meat and then handed me a piece expressing his disgust. It was slimy, rubbery, and looked old and gray. We laughed but we're also grossed out by the food. As I ate my food I realized not only was it burnt to the point where the eggs were half black, not only did it smell like an ashtray, but it tasted old like someone didn't pick up their order last night so they stuck it in the fridge and then put it in a pan and fried it again. As I began to think about the gross kitchen and my friends food I grew nauseous. I missed my math class and puked 11 times in the nurses bathroom. Rice doesn't come up easy... I placed an order online and arrived 5 minutes early to pick it up. They were obviously very busy and I was acknowledged quickly and my order was confirmed. I stood there for almost 40 minutes and they proceeded to tell me that they couldn't make my order because the chicken was still frozen. In total I was there for almost an hour for ABSOLUTELY nothing. The woman behind the counter was very nice but they were completely disorganized. Several other people were also waiting for their orders. I heard they had just got back from vacation so they were more busy than usual but it is no excuse for taking orders and not even having food ready to be cooked. After years of patronage I am done. Twice in recent months there were things left out of my order that I paid for. Having to go back to South Burlington from Essex to pick up forgotten food is annoying. Tonight I placed an online order, got email and website confirmation, waited 40 minutes for pickup as instructed and when I went to the pickup window the kid at the counter told me they didn't receive my order. THEN HE SHRUGGED! There was no apology, no offer to make things right after I showed him the confirmation on my phone, just a shrug of indifference. The WORST customer service from this kid, and it's not the first time. There are plenty of other Chinese restaurants out there that would be happy to have my business. read more
