Hong Kong Kitchen has great food and they're at my house with delivery really fast (I'm 3 blocks away). Most importantly all the people are extremely friendly and always greet me nicely on the phone by name - they know their customers and it shows. This is where I go when I have a Chinese craving. After a long day of work I just want something quick and filling. This Chinese restaurant never disappoint. Unfortunately this place is cash only, so I always make sure I got some cash on me. I love ordering chicken wings here as it is always large and crispy. I did order chow fun and expected to be flat noodles but I got is thin noodle. I'm not an expert but I believe the thin noodle are mei fun. But it was delicious either way. The woman in the front is always nice and I never had an issue with them. Food is always ready in 15 minutes. If you want some good Chinese near by, this is the place to go. I think after all of the years of eating Chinese food, I've finally learned to set them apart from one another -- one group serves broccoli with their General Tso chicken, and the other serves corn. Hong Kong Kitchen serves corn, and I was completely unprepared, mentally. There was a bug in the rice that came with the Shrimp Egg Foo Yung. Zoom in and you can see the "ridges". The General Tso combination was wack. The chicken itself was subpar, at best. Kinda chewy. No crispy pieces, but most of them were big... which is never attractive. The pork-fried rice tasted like pale and sad white rice. It wasn't seasoned very well. The General Tso sauce had very little substance. The chicken wings were OK. Nothing to write home about. But the bug in the rice? not getting my business again. There are enough Chinese spots around to try. Also worth noting, Hong Kong Kitchen does NOT accept cards -- it is a CASH ONLY establishment. And likely for good damn reason. That's the only thing I begrudgingly support. I want to give this 1 star, but I will allow 2 stars mainly because my experience with the service and politeness of the staff was excellent. Aside from the abnormally long hold when I called, the woman that answered was patient, and I got a chuckle or two out of her before disconnecting, and got a smile at the restaurant. There is hope. But they've gotta do better. EDIT from the next morning: wife woke up in the middle of the night and spent a lot of time feeling extremely unwell, complaining of stomach upset and nausea. I had ordered a vegetable lo mein and they gave me a seafood lo mein and then when I went in there a few days later because I didn't have a car to go that day she wouldn't give me a new one or my money back and she said "I don't care" so that's the kind of service you get nowadays so be cautious when you go in there that they're not gonna be friendly and they're very rude!!!!!!! not to mention that the shrimp that was in there was off color and had so many extra legs on it so it wasn't even good read more

Actually, pretty good for a local take out joint. The Hot and Sour soup is quite good and my "Go-To" when feeling a cold coming on. I usually specify "medium" spicy on the Szechuan dishes otherwise they may be a little lacking. Fresh ingredients and well prepared. I ordered shredded pork with garlic sauce and small order of spare ribs on the bone. The ribs were outstanding! I have a tough time finding good Chinese ribs. These were tender, nice and saucy and very flavorful. My pork was very tender and not too spicy. I might order spicier next time. I can't believe I haven't tried this place til now. Hands down, some of the worst Chinese take-out I've ever had. Overall, the food was just too bland - not only was it not hot (as in chili peppers), it didn't have any garlic, ginger, or other spices either. The worst offender was the mushu - nothing but a pile of cabbage and soy sauce. Honestly, for the price, this is as good as it gets. I love their Chicken with Broccoli, beef teriyaki sticks, General Tso's chicken, and boneless spareribs (they have my mother's favorite bone in spareribs). I really haven't found another place that does it as good as here, plus they deliver in a good time, and the prices are great. Legit worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. My family ordered 6 different things from their menu and somehow all of them were flavorless and bland (despite probably being filled with salt, sugar, and fat. No flavor, the fried rice was a bright orange, and I've never before had chicken in brown sauce that wasn't brown.
