They're…read moresuper good about communication - we called and they answered promptly, got us appts at the perfect time, sent us reminders to confirm, and it was easy to find. It's actually right next to one of our fav treat shops. The place was clean and spacious and had the specific products we wanted. The technicians were easy to chat with and really efficient. Absolutely we'll be back and we highly recommend Salon Retro! Especially Jo and Cyra!

She did a HORRIBLE job, and didn't style out my hair, so i didn't know it until I got home and really got a good look at it. I asked for a ash blonde balayage and paid $300 by the time I tipped, and my hair looks like complete trash. Myra offered to fix it and I initially rescheduled with her, but after thinking about it, I texted her and asked her to be $100 percent honest if she thought she could fix it and she never responded. I ended up scheduling for a color correction at a different salon because I can't trust this girl. I left a message on the Salon retro site to Kathy (I believe she's the owner) and got no response, so I called the Salon and Kathy answered. She said "Myra said you loved your hair when she was done" and I told Kathy, Myra didn't style it out. In fact, after thinking about it, I think she did that on purpose because she knew it was a sloppy job and she was ripping me off, but she told me the reason she wasn't styling it out was because she already did a lot to my hair and didn't want to overdo it. I should have known right then and there she was full of s#$t, because I have never been to a Salon and paid that kind of money and left without dry, styled hair. If you took the time to read all this, please take my advice and don't risk going to this place. What a waste of time and money. In response to Kathy's comment: ummm... yeah... I said all that in my review, but I also said I opted not to go back to her because I don't feel confident she would be able to fix it. Not worth the risk. Also, why you commenting on my review? You can't help me because she's not your employee. Don't be on my review bumping your gums. I deserve a partial refund but I know that isn't going to happen, so mind your own business.

The staff was amazing and so very helpful, this was over 2 years ago and I have never gone anywhere else. The male half of the ownership was always very kind and respectful to both myself and my small dog. However the same cannot be said for his wife, Jenny. I've visited this shop about 5-6 times, but will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone based on my past 2 experiences here. I have always conducted myself in a calm, polite, and respectful manner with the owners and everyone else in the shop. I missed an appt in the summer of 2024 due to illness, and called the shop that same day to apologize and explain the situation. The gal I spoke with was very kind and understanding. She told me not to worry about it and to focus on getting better. At the rescheduled appt, Jenny claimed I arrived 15 minutes late. According to the time displayed on my phone, I was 7 minutes late. When I showed Jenny and her husband the current time on my phone, they had a bizarre response: they repeatedly offered to show security camera footage with timestamps. I told them I trusted the time displayed on my phone and that viewing security camera footage was unnecessary. They said that due to arriving late, my scheduled appt time was given to a walk-in, and I would have to wait 2.5 hours for another appt. From this point forward, Jenny's demeanor was cold and hostile. Her husband remained kind and friendly to me whenever I visited the shop. Upon arrival to an appt on 11/25/2024, the shop was not busy. There were 3-4 clients being serviced at the time. Jenny was the only owner present. She made eye contact, smiled, and was talkative and friendly with the other customers. I was not acknowledged upon entry. There was no eye contact, no smile, and no greeting. During my pedicure, my pants became completely saturated with water. I politely mentioned this to Jenny. She continued to not make eye contact, and said coldly: "It's because you asked for the water to be warmed up". I then asked in a polite, respectful, and non-sarcastic tone: "From now on, if I request the water to be warmed up, should I expect my clothing to become saturated?" Jenny again replied coldly, "You must not have pulled your pants up all the way". This is not how a kind, courteous, professional business owner would respond. They would at least offer to bring the customer a towel. Jenny smiled, made eye contact, and thanked other customers for their business as they were leaving. She remained silent, cold, and expressionless as I paid and left the shop. I had errands to run afterwards, and had to do so in wet clothes, in the winter. Changing clothes wasn't an option, due to my residence being far from the shop. Please exercise caution if you choose to patronize this business.
