Very nice and food is always amazing! Especially the pot stickers and honey walnut prawns

The restaurants ambiance is always welcoming and nice. The food is always good. The service is sometimes fast or slow.

I like the "old school" deep fried prawn appetizer , nobody around the lake or many restaurants that serve prawns prepare them that way anymore. They take me back to my childhood Chinese food takeout. My friend swears on their Honey /walnut ...dish. Sounds delicious. I like Kung pow chicken, theirs...(it's okay), but not much flavor like the place up the street. Pork fried rice is usually kinda dry and minute pieces of meat egg and possibly some vegetables? Anyway not gonna buy that dish from here. Sweet and sour chicken/pork plenty in the box with sweet sauce on the side but again, 1 piece of pineapple, 3 pieces of green bell pepper and a couple of slices of carrot. So, in my opinion they need to jack it up with more veggie ingredients. I mean, come on guys, you've been cooking these dishes for 40 years probably. I realize everything is more expensive and everyone is paying the higher prices. But i think cutting back on the ingredients is reducing the quality of the experience. It's a really nice restaurant. But I've never sat down to eat there because there's a strange feeling of alienation like they don't speak English or something that well. Just my vibe and my opinion. Kinda the same thing at other restaurants that serve the same cuisine. Food here is just okay to me. I'll go up the street for the dishes I prefer and get the Prawn appetizer from here on my way home. Check'm out then go elsewhere and you'll figure it all out. Bon appétit read more

I've been here before and liked the food. Last time I went I ordered scallops and snow peas. I'm sure the scallops were not scallops, they had the taste of old fish and not very well cooked. The service was very poor I asked for a to go box cuz I paid for food I couldn't eat it never came I had to go to the counter and ask. they were no that busy. Amazing... * Sweet and Sour Pork * Seasame Chicken * Mu-Shu Pork * Broccoli with Beef The Honey Walnut Shrimp is amazing... They Deep fry shrimp then toss them in a Honey glaze with walnuts... It isn't as sweet as it sounds... If you don't want your shrimp coated and Deep fried tell them to sauté the shrimp before adding it to the honey glaze... The glaze has a white creamy appearance to it... This along with the Deep fried Prawns are two items that I will order again and again... The Food is Fresh for the Buffet and they cook to order if you order off the menu. The prices do vary but most definitely worth it. I went for the lunch buffet around 11:30am it's 15$ per person and I got a Soda for 3 full plates of food. The lady who seats you is very nice and holds great conversation. Went at 1:40pm during the lunch buffet, I wanted to treat my mother. The food was dry and nasty you could taste that it had been sitting in the pan under the heat light all morning/afternoon. We are ok with Americanized Chinese food, but the dishes we had here didn't even taste like that. Everything is blend and off in color and texture. I'm VERY disappointed in this restaurant. I chose items off the online menu. Lunch specials were 7.50. I get there and lunch specials are now 11.50. To order general chicken it's extra even tho it's the same on the regular menu. Crab wontons are 7.95 instead of 4.95. I understand inflation but PLEASE! I should have walked away but I figured since I was there...I get the food and I noticed the styrofoam boxes are significantly smaller. The last couple places I've eaten I've seen extra surcharges for "service fee" (park place, 20%) and a Mexican place in Santa Rosa who tacked on money to each dish on the receipt. I've seen online people reporting "employee health fees" and such. It's ridiculous! Just give me the portion size and price of the dish so I can choose to pay that price. So this place? Two thumbs down. Plus the food was terrible. Cold, greasy and the meat was fatty. The general chicken I paid extra for was totally bland. I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be spicy. And you used to get two main portions making up almost 50% of the order and the other filler of rice or chow mein. Now it's a tiny portion of one main and the rest filler in a much smaller container. Keep your eyes peeled! I tried to call them and they take no responsibility for any online menu information. She told me EVERYONE loves their food. Well, according to the reviews, they are barely passing the 50% marker. Im going to say it's only that high because there's very little competition in Lakeport. She was as rude as they come and it seems to be a theme. They also had nothing to say about the small to go containers. Another restaurant with what I wish I could give a zero rating. Inconsistent. I wanted to enjoy this place, and I did the first time I ate there. But the past times just haven't been as good. 2.5 I had low expectations of this place since lakeport has a small asian population. No chopsticks or tea were served and the food was quite Americanized. The beef chow fun had a bunch of vegetables (broccoli, carrots, peas, zucchini) which the normal dish does not. The mu shu pork had tortillas vs lettuce as wraps. Overall, a panda express like Chinese restaurant but at least the dishes and decor was clean. read more

This has always been the best chinese food i've ever had. Their chow mein - you cant find one as good ANYWHERE else. I've been going here since I was a little kid. I've never found anywhere that comes close to Hong Kong! They have a 7 buck buffet from 11-3 on week days that is amazing! (Chow mein, rice, eggrolls, wontons, shrimp, potatoes, sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, beef brocoli, etc) If you get there early enough its always fresh, and delicious.. The same guys have been working their since I was a kid and theyre the sweetest! It's taken me this long to write a review - but here's your well deserved five stars, guys. My favorite place to get Chinese food in Lakeport. All of their meats always taste fresh so do their vegetables as well. They have really good Orange Chicken. However, if you order their Orange Chicken to go, they have you put the sauce on itself which I'm not the biggest fan of, I prefer the sauce to be cooked with the chicken. They have the best Honey Walnut Shrimp in town, it is to die for! While some of their foods can be extremely oily, like even more than most other Chinese places, it's my favorite place to get Chinese food on this side of the lake. read more

I like Hong Kong, it's the place for me. I like Hong Kong... I can still hear their famous commercial running through my head. In a county with less than 1% Asians (according to wikipedia) this was one of two Asian restaurants in the whole county I think. I LOVE their pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, deep fried prawns, won tons, mongolian beef, and soooo many more dishes. Growing up going to Hong Kong was a treat. Only on special occasions. Now when I visit home my mom and I rent movies and order Hong Kong for take out. Peter (one of the family members their) is the nicest guy and always comes out to say hi to us. Coming here reminds me of only happy times growing up. I highly recommend this over any other Asian restaurants in Lake County. I prefer it now to any other Chinese rest. I've been to, however I think that's cause I grew up with it. Lunch buffets are cheap but not as good as when they make it fresh. Definitely worth the all you can eat though! I had an incredibly rude experience with the female owner of this restaurant. This owner argued with me about chow mein and lo mein noodles. It seems that she does not know that lo mein is not fried and Chow mein is a fried noodle. Obviously someone who can not have fried foods would need clarification, but she continued to insist that it was the same. Until the clarification by myself, then when she realized I knew the difference, she was extremely rude and hung up the phone on me. Knowing how your dishes are prepared, and stating the truth to your customers is very important. I just moved to Lakeport today, and I was going to order other dishes, but she hung up on me. I guess I will take my frequent Chinese food orders to the other 2 establishments in town, but I hope that the owner learns her menu or learns how to be honest with her customers, for her customers health. read more

WELL, we came here for a quick and cheap lunch on our way back from an absolutely KICKASS waverunner experience. Needless to say, this place was...well, pretty bad. We came here for the $7-per-person buffet, and eh...lol. Everything was pretty bad....the sweet and sour red sauce seemed to have started to slowly solidify......so that was pretty distasteful. The fried rice was overly dry and had barely any flavor. The broccoli was pretty mushy and completely drowned in unnecessary sauce and oil. I think the only things that were decent were the hot soup and chow mien. I didn't go to the bathroom, but from I've heard...it was pretty frightening. I really hoped this place was good...but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't ever come here again if I'm ever in the area. read more

This restaurant is not efficient. I called in an order and there was no price quoted while on the phone. Prior to calling in, I went online and there were prices listed. When I get to the restaurant, I was told that they didn't know where those prices came from. I was charged a high price for two items. They started giving me all kinds of excuses for the price, they were unprofessional and short with me. I am not sure if it was because of my color or what. I can''t give a review of the food because the poor service has overpowered the taste and quality of the food. This was my first and my last time. read more
