An extremely solid 4 1/2 stars... I found this place while staying at a local motel. The name kind of concerned me, so I took a look at their menu online. Szechuan is way too spicy for me, but they had a lot of items on the menu that were not spicy at all. I decided to go with a sizzling rice, soup, and the mu shu chicken. The restaurant was only a few minutes away, so I called my order in, and they told me it would be ready in just a few minutes. I go down to pick up my food, and it was a very nice restaurant. The people who ran the place were very friendly, and when they brought out my food, dear Lord... It was in a large box. I couldn't believe how much food I got. I brought it back to my room, and it was amazing. The soup had chicken, beef, and shrimp. The broth had a great flavor, and between the meat and the veggies, which were not mushy at all, there were a lot of "goodies" inside. It also came with a very decent sized portion of crispy rice to put in the soup. The moo shu was also very good. The chicken was tender and moist, and the veggies played very well with it. The "pancakes" actually reminded me of tortillas, but they were very good, and there were *5*of them. The order came with what I believe was a hoisin sauce on the side, and I put some of that in the moo shu, and some of that in the soup, and it just completely added to the flavor. I had enough for dinner, a snack later on, and breakfast in the morning. It was an amazing meal. The only reason I'm taking off half of a star, was because they didn't give me any silverware or napkins. I didn't think about looking when I got the meal, because I figured they would be there. Fortunately, I keep a set of travel silverware with me, and so I didn't have to go back to the restaurant to get the silverware. I don't know if they normally don't give the silverware or if they just forgot, but it was a very small glitch. Next time, I will double check. And yes, there will be a next time. Thanks! read more

This was a real gem of a find - the flavors were delicate and nuanced and yummy and there were many vegetarian and weight watchers friendly items. I wasn't expecting a small town rustic region to have a great Asian place, but this restaurant would be successful in a big city too. I was in town for the day. Hard to find a food spot to eat in small towns. From the reviews this place seemed like a good choice. The food was really good! I had the lemon chicken and beef Mongolian! This was a great spot to end a long work day! The staff was attentive and I'm pretty sure the owner was giving out free ice cream to everyone for Mother's Day. Willits is a one horse town pa'tner. This place is a bright spot. So, you might say "3 stars, why so rough on the local business?" Here's the answer: 5 stars is The French Laundry 60 miles south, this is not that. It's fine though. Maybe best option in town. It's unassuming from the outside. When you get inside, it's packed. The service is great. The dining room is very ornate. However, lesson for me, if the restaurant says _____ and Sushi then go with the _______. Jackson took amazing care of us today--he had such a fun, infectious energy that lit up the whole room. We ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Beef Chow Fun, Mapo Tofu, Roast Duck, and Sweet & Sour Pork. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was perfectly crunchy with just the right amount of sweetness (9/10). The Beef Chow Fun was flavorful and satisfying (8/10). The Szechuan kick in the Mapo Tofu was so good I ended up pouring it over everything else on my plate (9/10). The Roast Duck had an incredible crispy skin (8/10), and the Sweet & Sour Pork was tasty, though not really my personal favorite (7/10). Jackson was not only attentive but genuinely entertaining every time he came by. To top it all off, he surprised us with free desserts at the end--a perfect way to wrap up the meal. My beautiful girlfriend and I came here for lunch and we both ordered the lunch special which comes with your choice of Entry + Soup of the day + Choice of Fried Rice or Chowmein. We were quite surprised to see how much the portions were for the price. They gave us dinner portions for lunch prices and it was quite delicious. The food came out fast and with great customer service. The staff was attentive and friendly. Lastly, the atmosphere was good, the restaurant's decor was traditional Chinese which made for nice aesthetics. We also ordered the cheese puffs which were also delicious. This was our second time coming here. We stayed in town and went here for dinner the night we came into town. Just like the first time the staff was super friendly and fast! I swear we had our order in a few minutes. Everything was hot and fresh and super delicious. The restaurant was a little crowed as they had two different birthday parties going on at the same time but the wait staff were quick to fill our glasses and ask if we needed anything. It's a nice feeling to walk in and be greeted as well being thanked on your way out. All of the servers were friendly and quick to assist. Highly recommend the potstickers as an appetizer! 4 stars because the menu prices were very reasonable considering a lunch special is only Mayne a dollar more than getting a meal at a fast food joint. Also food came out pretty fast, though we had to wait a while to get our order taken, but seemed to be only one waiter handling all of the tables. When you walk in there is a bar counter space in front of a deli type display with the fish they use in the sushi. The dining area was very nice looking decorated in a Chinese style. The food was not bad but also not the best. We ordered the potstickers (lots of filling, was a favorite), the prawns in lobster sauce (great amount of shrimp, better than most places), and the sweet n sour pork. The portion sizes were great and more than I expected. I wish that they didn't put the sauce over the pork, especially because I couldn't finish it all and re-heating they were soggy. The hot and sour soup was good, but it didn't have nearly enough spicy or sourness that it should have had. The fried rice was kind of plain but seasoned good. Everyone seems to rate the staff highly, but I guess we went at a bad time. We were greeted nicely at the door, but our waiter gave poor service. It started with him throwing the menus down on my husband's arm. As he brought out the food, he was just tossing our plates down and taking off without a word. Didn't check on us at all during dining. I'm not downrating for this, because he may have felt very rushed. We definitely want to come back, hopefully at a less busy time (we were one of 5 tables but I also understand they do to go orders as well). We want to try the sake and sushi and some new dishes. We had the Moo Shu chicken and a spicy dragon roll for $30. The spicy dragon roll was not spicy and was only average in quantity. The presentation was nice however. The Moo Shu chicken was the best I've ever had. And I've had a lot.. ..all over the country. They really went the extra mile to take the messiest meal you can eat and make it something special. In addition to tasting better than all the rest they added some extra plump juicy chicken pieces to go the extra mile.
