Only thing I can review are their crab rangoons... And this is always a telltale sign if the place is good or not. And one of the qualities that I like that with this crab rangoon is you don't need sauce for some of my reason. It's a sweet taste to it compared to any other place that I had. Of course it doesn't look glamorous but I will say their seats were new so I didn't see any cuts or rips. Nothing on the floor saying that stuff has been old. Maybe their signage need to be updated because the crab rangoon posted on your pictures does not look like the crab rangoon that you get, which is perfectly fine. I am always the first person to recommend anything other than chinese food, so this review will for sure be bias -- as it's not in my top 5 types of food to eat. However, my girlfriend LOVES it. I ordered some chicken lo mein, and almond chicken for myself, with a cup of hot & sour soup. For her, we got the general tso meal deal with fried rice. I asked for medium spice -- knowing that she doesn't like spice. But historically speaking, the general tso typically comes out like orange chicken because it's never spicy... which was the case this time. She said there was actually no discernable spice in her dish -- which was a bummer. My hot and sour soup was alright, the chicken lo mein was decent... and the almond chicken is pretty hard to mess up from what i've found, that's why i order that... So, all in all - it was good, it wasn't great, she was bummed out and her opinion means more here than mine... but she doesn't use yelp. read more

My search for good Chinese food in this area continues. For $10, you get a decent amount of food in the combination meals. The egg rolls are cabbage, which is a thumbs down for me. Still on the hunt for a local place with sprouts egg rolls. The sesame chicken had good flavor, but was dry both in the chicken and in that there wasn't enough sauce. The fried rice didn't have any vegetables or anything in it, which is a plus for me, but also didn't have quite as much flavor as I would have liked. A small mainly takeout restaurant run by an Asian couple. ;they are nice and efficient. The first two times that I ordered garlic pork with Chinese veg it was fresh and well prepared. The third time it was chunks of leftover grisly pork chunks in a very dark unflavorful sauce, I promptly thru the food into the garbage. I was at a store near by and saw this place. I decided that it would be nice to have some chinese food. I ordered broccoli and chicken combo and picked it up. They give you a lot of food! I ate this meal for 3 days. They give you a lot of fried rice primarily. It was good but not as good as my usual. I was shopping at Ollies and this restaurant was in the same shopping center so I decided to give it a try. It is a carry out only place - at least right now and the dining/order area is very undesirable (as you can see in my pics). The floor and carpet were both really dirty. They have so much plexiglass that is was impossible to see in the cooking area. I sure hope it was cleaner. As far as the food, I had General Tso chicken and egg drop soup. The soup had good flavor but it had chunks of something it in - maybe chicken. As far as the General Tso, the flavor was good but some of the chicken was tough. First time patron. Ordered general chicken. good size portion for a decent price. Described as spicy with white meat, but it was bland with hard white meat that seemed old. The fried rice was good, but also no seasoning even with soy sauce it was bland. The eggroll was hot and crispy and decent. I should've gotten the soup instead maybe. Highly underrated Chinese food! I've tried so many Chinese restaurant in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti and this one is always my go to! Personally I think they have the best, and I mean it, THE BEST lo mein noodles. Don't be fooled by the look of this place. It's tiny, easily missed, and in the strip mall where Walmart used to be. This is not a sit down restaurant, it's strictly takeout. The portions they give you are HUGE! For a small lo mein, which is a pretty big order since they pack everything in there, it's only $6! If you order it during lunch you can get basically the same portion with a soup and egg roll. My order is always the shrimp lo mein with hot and sour soup. I promise you, if you love Americanized Chinese food like I do, you will LOVE this place. I swear by it, best lo mein noodles. I love this restaurant so much, I've been eating here since a kid, i used to always get the sweet and sour chicken or house special mei fun, always so delicious, now i get the dinner special general tso's w broccoli, it's $11.25, comes with an egg roll, the portion is always huge, delicious, and even with DoorDash, always hot, i cannot recommend this place enough. Tucked away in a strip mall among a variety of random stores, it's just one of those places that you have to try to find out if it's good. And it is! Not Bad, Could be better. Decent Chinese food but it has it flaws. I recently ordered a sesame chicken lunch special (which was huge) from here and for starters, the egg roll is excellent, the sesame chicken is greasy but also pretty good (made it white meat for $2 more). Now the negatives, the fried rice is nothing but white rice with vegetables which makes it horrible. The second negative was the fact that i did order delivery for this and it took over an hour. Take out is the way to go with this place and if you want fried rice, go somewhere else. read more

First time ordering. We usually order from a closer restaurant, wanted to try something new. Ordered Almond Bonless Chicken, Sesame Chicken, vegetable rolls, wonton soup and fried jumbo shrimp. Food was excellent, came piping hot to the house... i was concerned about this because it was a 40 minute delivery window. The gravy for the almond boneless was so good, I could eat it with a spoon. Jumbo shrimp were crunchy and good. I liked that the cooks took the time to put a napkin in the shrimp and egg roll packaging to absorb the excess oil and moisture. I've never seen this with any other take out. Portions were good sized and plenty for seconds or a mid night snack. The prices were comparable with our usual chinese delivery. The Food is ok but the owner here is terrible. Unfriendly. she charges 0.50 for half a small container of hot oil. She started charging this recently. A good, no-frills place to pick up American Chinese food. The other reviews are right about the amount of food you get -- my husband and I can split one dinner combination between us. Although that means no leftovers. Some of the flavors are a little different though, than your standard American Chinese. The sesame chicken had a bit of a tomato and fish-sauce tang to it, very similar to Thai or Malyasian flavors. But it sure was good, filling and cheap. They also do some rib combos that are tasty, if just a little chewy. The restaurant itself, sandwiched into a strip mall, is a bit bare bones. For instance, they have big boxes of sauce packets sitting out so you can grab some if you want. The emphasis is on efficiency, not ambiance. It's run by a very nice family, who surprised me with a souvenir Chinese scroll when I went to pick up an order around Christmas. Okay if you're looking for food to fix your chinese take out craving. I ordered broccoli beef and was happy to see a lot of meat and large cuts of broccoli. Overall pretty good, and didn't upset my stomach, which most chinese food does. I take away two stars because the delivery guy was rude. He gave me my food and when I asked him for change he got very upset when I asked for $2 dollars back... although he received a $3 tip! My bill was only $15, so he received a 20% tip for just delivering my food. I was half tempted to take my tip back. We received a menu in the door a couple of weeks ago and decided to try them out. Awesome food, hot and lots of it. Ordered again tonight and second time was just as good as the first. The delivery is extremely quick and the food hot when it arrived! We have not dined in but the restaurant is close to the Walmart on Ellsworth. We had to throw it away.They have No clue on how to prepare good chinese food.Ordered pan fried chicken ,shrimp and pork chow mein,fried shrimp and fried rice.The chow mein was watery with a brown sauce with a few strands of chow mein noodles meat didnt taste like meat ..could of been dog or cat not sure ....It was horrible.The fried shrimp is panko battered like you get at a steakhouse...was expecting tempura batter like traditional fried shrimp.it was greasy and tasted of old moldy grease. Not good at all.Fried rice with shrimp had no flavor and rice was old as if they scraped it off other patrons plates from there left overs.Also guy cooking had a runny sinus problem was working register and took a crap in the bathroom and i didnt hear any water run to wash his hands afterwards he went straight to kitchen to prepare my pile of slop.Do not eat here...wasted $30. read more

Was in the mood for Chinese food decided to go to my favorite spot for beef fried rice. After going to the counter to place my order noticed a booth that had food on it. There were several bugs on the table and on the plate. After informing the guy at the counter that there were numerous bugs on the table, the floor and the plate, he looked at me and said he was to tired to pick up the plate of food. I asked for my money back he slammed my money on the counter. I know it was the 10 min to closing time, but who wants to order food from a place that has bugs. I just moved to this city so i found this place on yelp on a rainy afternoon. We ordered the typical American favorites (Orange chicken, wonton soup, crab rangoons, chicken fried rice) so we would have an idea of the restaurants quality and everything was cooked pretty well. They also say they don't use M.S.G in their food which is a big plus for me. I would say their food is 3 star quality but I'll give them another star for having such reasonable prices. This place isn't the greatest Chinese food around but the is more then worth it for the price you pay. Give it a shot! read more
