Called Saturday for massage on Sunday morning. Went and opted for the 30 minute massage for $40. The gal ORDERED me to pay up front along with a $20 tip. She charged my card $61041.10 by accident. The gal tried to void the transaction but didn't know how. Another arrived and attempted to void the transaction by contacting some one on the phone. Still it was not taken care of. A third gal showed up and still the money was not returned to my account (never had that amount anyway!!! )The language barrier made the entire fiasco a truly difficult and unpleasant experience. Won't be going back and recommend a pass to anyone considering this place. read more

I believe I paid 20 dollars for a one hour foot soak and clothed body massage. This place is pretty awesome. While I prefer the 40.00 private room massages I could get in LA, these will suffice. The chairs are grouped in two's and separated by partitions. The lady and gentleman who worked the day I was in were both friendly. The massage was good enough that I fell asleep multiple times. We were visiting Portland for a family reunion and was looking for a nice place to relax and have a massage. After some calling around, we discovered that all the massage places were booked solid. This was the only place that had availability. Now I understand why... Most of the reviews on Yelp discussed the environment or the quality of customer service. I'd like to focus on the massage experience itself. My wife is a massage therapist and as such, we have traveled all throughout the world trying different types of massage. This massage was hands down the worst massage I have ever had. A couple of areas I noticed included the lack of "flow" between muscle groups. The therapist randomly picked areas on the body and just started slathering it with oil. At random times during the session, the therapist just stopped massaging and sat there with her hands resting on various muscle groups. Mid-way during the session, the therapist received a phone call, (I could hear it vibrating), she then paused to check her messages, and actually went outside to return the phone call! I could hear her talking in the hallway. She then returned after her phone call and proceeded to randomly attack various muscle groups again, only this time, she begins digging into my back with her nails. At the end of the session I exhaled a sigh of relief. I actually ended up more tense than I was before I came in. Overall, all the "bad" reviews in Yelp have proven to be true, not only was the environment "dirty" and "creepy" (note: the security camera as you walk in), the actual massage itself was horrible, they use bait-and-switch tactics (charge 60 mins for 45 mins of massage), and are completely unprofessional during the massage session. Worst place ever! I made an appoint for a couples hour massage and was completely shocked at how this place handles business. We showed up at 3:00 for our appointment, which started late. My feet were soaked for MAYBE 3 min. (verses the 10 they claim) then my massage was a total joke and the lightest touch. The total of the massage was 40 min. (not 50min. as stated) As the phone would ring the guy would stop my massage and leave to answer the phone. This happened three times. My boyfriends massage started 15 late, so in total he was massaged for tips 30min. including is so called foot soak. This place is just plain creepy and unprofessional! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a place called BIO REFLEXOLOGY right up the street. I wish we would have stuck with our original place instead of trying this place because of a coupon they mailed us. PS. They are aggressive about 'ASKING' AND 'INSISTING' you tip, just a friendly FYI. So i will say that when i walked into this place i was super sketched out. The Foot massage was great especially for the price! However there is no privacy. The only thing that separates you from the next room is a hospital style type curtain. Which i'sent an issue until the massage therapist starts beating on the foot next to you which can be a little disturbing. The only other thing is while I was getting my massage the music changed and got really loud which was really bothersome. He heard everything I said and focused on those problem areas. His stretching techniques were very good and made sure My breathing was done correctly. I will definitely be back. We had gone to Hong Kong for legit reflexology. I must admit that I have had some good therapists. However, the not so good therapist has out numbered the good ones. I was there today and left upset. The "kid" who attempted reflexology basically rubbed my foot up and down for an hour. Complete waste of money and time. I asked her to do my shoulders and she has the absolute worst breath. She and her buddy chatted throughout the massage. No more for me. Sad because it had great potential. I'm guessing the owner hires illegal workers who work for cheap since they sit around all day and it is rarely busy. Not a good combination - all the way around. read more

I strongly feel that the owner named Lena practices unethical business and set the tone for the place! She is polite on the outside but, she is ready to take advantage of you if she senses that she can get away with it. For example, she would act very aggressively to request increase the tip when she senses that she can get away with it. I think we clients have the right to decide the amount above and beyond your standard 15% tip at least in this country and rest of civilized world.I have requested a particular massage therapist and she agrees to arrange a session with that person only to change the massage therapist when you arrive there! She has done this on multiple ocassions! The massage itself for the price is ok but, the staff does not speak a word of English and very frustrating when you are trying to convey when you want out of the session. read more

I visited this place with my boyfriend and his mother who wanted to treat us to massages. We all got the same treatment, and this allowed us to compare our respective experiences with one another afterwards. My boyfriend and his ma reported having excellent massage experiences with this place, though the massage styles of their respective masseurs differed. So they were surprised to hear that my experience was quite disappointing. Upon entering the quiet darkened massage area, they put my feet in a hot water soak for about 10 minutes. Lovely! Afterwards, massuers came in and began working on us. The massage started out fantastic. Working on my feet, a little on my head, a little on the neck. Then he was called away for about 5 minutes to answer the phone. I figured maybe they were understaffed that day and that the masseur was needed to field a call, so I didn't think it was that big a deal. So the massage resumed. And then he disappeared again for several minutes. Then the massage resumed. Another brief disappearance. Resume massage. Finally the masseur decides to disappear for a good 15-20 minutes. I kept looking over at my boyfriend during this time and confirmed that his massage was still continuing. He was getting his back worked on, his arms, legs, his scalp, the full treatment. I'm just lying there in the dark, wondering what the hell is going on. My boyfriend's massage is completed and he goes out to wait in the front waiting area. After maybe 5 minutes, my masseur decides to show up again. He massages my neck for about 2 minutes and then says the session is over. No apology. No acknowledgement of his repeated disappearances. No acknowledgement that my massage was severely compromised because he needed to disappear for 15-20 minutes. Unprofessional and not worth the time or money. read more

I have been here for times now. The first time, a couple of years ago was interesting. I didn't know what I was going in to, the lighting was red and there was a maze to get to where I was going. The foot massage was incredible and I actually got a mostly full body massage that was very rejuvenating. The last time I went, the space was more open and less intimidating. I had been wanting to check this place out because it's near my house and why not get a reflexology foot massage. It was not worth the time and money. It was not relaxing at all because the ladies in the front (other employees) were yaking away and arguing while my friend and I were getting the massage. Also, there was no "reflexology" ... it was a very basic foot rub my clueless husband could have given me. Except the lady was wearing gloves.
