Hong Kong market is where it's at if you are looking for specific ingredients for Thai and Vietnamese IMO! I love the fresh smells of banh mi banquette, instant ramen section is insane, produce, seafood and meats. They are connected to several great restaurants in the same plaza which is really convenient. This place is the most busy on Sundays so I would caution you to be prepared to wait in longer lines. However, the staff work hard and quickly to get the lines moving! They also renovated their bathrooms recently which are SO nice now!

I have had some of the greatest experiences ever shopping in this market. Freshness combined with quality and staff who genuinely care, you will find yourself in the right place at the right time. Speaking Spanish or Vietnamese is preferred but not required. They have foods from around the world; Jamaica, Vietnamese, China, France and Mexico ~ the list continues. Fresh fish is a cornerstone of this local market. Most items are quality but they do have GMO items that I continue to expose and educate Yelpers on. It's important that we eat to live. You can do that at this market just by choosing wisely

The store has a great kitchen hardware section. How else was I going to get this perfect wok ($20) for frying the perfect egg?

So glad I'm relatively close to this store. As I've began to dive more into traditional Chinese cooking, I've found myself making more and more trips here. They literally have everything from kitchen hardware to hard-to-find ingredients. Service and ambiance is on par with what you'd expect from a chinese grocery store. This place is my go to for all of my ingredients for my Chinese dishes.

Super big international supermarket. They have everything! We literally bought the whole store. You can find anything you can imagine here. Everything is pretty well organized.

I had a very interesting experience at Hong Kong Supermarket today. It was my first time here and only the second Asian supermarket I've been to in the Atlanta area - H Mart in Duluth being the first. There were lots of unique and unusual finds - everything from shark and turtle meat to international groceries from far beyond "Hong Kong." Despite its name, like many pointed out, the store houses mostly Vietnamese vendors in the food court areas. Although, many Asian products can be found here from various countries. The other international groceries and products reflect Latin American, Afro- Caribbean, European, and American tastes as well. This was an interesting store to walk through and convenient to walk to from my motel, but I probably wouldn't come back unless I really needed to. The only reason I say this is because, like some other Yelpers mentioned, it doesn't feel as clean as some of the other stores out there. I prefer H Mart currently. There was a nauseating smell coming from the seafood section, just like old meat. I thought I shook the feeling as I was checking out and walking over to Chipotle, but it really stuck with me and I ended up throwing up a bit. I have a pretty strong stomach and haven't thrown up in years, so I guess that should tell you something. In any case, it was cool for a walkthrough, and if you can tolerate the smell (or avoid the seafood section altogether) then you might be okay.

The prices for meat are great. The customers in the store are usually very rude but I only go there for crabs.

You have to get one of the big shopping carts out the parking lot yourself. The produce section is huge and loaded with the freshest produce. The prices look bigger than Kroger put on the same level as Publix. This place is essentially an international market mixed with a farmer's market .The seafood section is humongous. I got some sushi, grilled Markel, and chicken fried rice from the korean section. In the butcher section, I got pork belly, goat, lamb, chicken wings, and pork shoulder. All the food was amazing.

I purchased a pack of tofu along with some other items on March 11. I open the fridge a few days later on March 15, finally ready to prepare the tofu, just to see that the exp date on the pack was March 10. This picture was taken March 15 upon this discovery. I meant to update this review a while ago. I just can't spend money here anymore knowing that I'm liable to accidentally purchase old products. As customers, we should not have to be this vigilant at a grocery store... it's ridiculous.

Some things I like about LIDL…read more.. They almost always have pretty good produce. The prices are comparable if not competitive. They offer their own branding as well as some major brands. They have a decent cheese selection. They offer a very similar experience to Aldi. However, the produce at Aldi is very often not very good. My absolute favorite thing about LIDL is the bakery. Every day, they freshly bake a very large amount of different pastries, and breads. In my experience, their pastries of bread are far superior to Kroger, Walmart, and yes... even Publix. If you are skipping the bakery, you are sleeping on the best part of Lidl. My absolute favorite item is the hazelnut croissant. However, all the offerings are really good. I like to take the hazelnut croissant, put a couple of squares of butter inside, and heat it up in the oven for about 3 to 4 minutes. That hazelnut filling just creams up fantastically... It's an awesome treat as a dessert or as a breakfast pastry. Every time I am passing by, I make sure to stop in just for the bakery, even if I don't need anything else. Today, I tried their chocolate covered doughnut, and it was phenomenal. You know those Entenmann's chocolate covered donuts? The little ones with tons of chocolate? Well, Lidl does the same thing except on a regular size doughnut... And instead of stale donut on the inside, it's fluffy and squishy and so good! The chocolate is creamy and still hardened on the outside, but melts almost to the touch I should have gotten more of them. I also grabbed one of their jelly donuts, and I am excited to try them because if the regular chocolate doughnut was that good then the jelly doughnut should be amazing as well. The people are always really friendly and they have a self service check out. The music is always fresh every time I go in too. They even have an aisle similar to Walmart's "as seen on TV" section where the manager sometimes stocks "Viral Snacks" such as the freeze dried skittles or the Peelerz gummies. Pretty cool. If you have not been to Lidl's, then you should definitely give them a shot and stop in the next time you're swinging by. I promise it will not be a waste of your time.

Not only did they both take the time to fulfill my request, they went above and beyond by decorating the cookie with a July 4th theme. Their teamwork and willingness to help truly made my day and my husband was thrilled with his fully iced cookie. This is exactly why I keep coming back to this store. The customer service lady was like, "You didn't get this here?" Incredulous, like I purchased the mixing bowls from some far away land at some random store. I was like, "I got them at Kroger." She said they don't stock them at that Kroger I couldn't return them. She hollered at someone across the store, "She didn't buy them here and we don't stock them, can she return them?" And the person she yelled at said, "NO." I knew all this was wrong. I went up to another lady, who I hoped was a manager, and she said that they couldn't return them because they don't stock them and they have no where to put them. Still makes no sense to me. So I give up, and go get my groceries, when LO AND BEHOLD, an entire SHELF stocked with the exact same product. I won't go into the drama that ensued, but even after showing them they DO stock the item they tried to not return them. Eventually, a manager came over, and the person was like, "Can we return these even if we don't get credit from the store?" And the manager just was like, "Yes." It was twilight zone. It would have saved ALL of us tons of time if they just returned them in the first place.
