    Beef with garlic sauce

Service is excellent and the atmosphere is nice. All the food tastes the same. Chicken, pork or beef with your choice of brown sauce. Spicy brown sauce, mild brown sauce or? Tastes very much like it's frozen, pre-packaged and then heated and served. Broccoli today was frozen. Perhaps it was a garnish and not intended to be eaten but it was frozen. Sadly this restaurant has gone downhill each time we've gone.

    Crab rangoon. Good!

This is a new spot next to Kroger and the town has been buzzing about it. I honestly feel like the food was currently okay-some good and some needs work as they find their new biz footing. -Combo fried rice: the flavors were very good and there was an abundance of protein and egg, which we loved. Unfortunately, about half of the rice grains were undercooked and hard. We would try this again and hope it was an opening days kink that needed to be ironed out, as the white rice with the combo meal was perfectly cooked. -Chicken Pad Thai: I should have known better than to order the one Thai dish at a primarily Chinese food spot. It was not good. My husband, kids, and I all thought that it had no flavor at all. I was able to jazz it up with soy sauce and sriracha, but it was still sorely lacking, -Combo with shrimp and broccoli and general tso's chicken: my husband loved the abundance of shrimp and chicken and those were cooked well. The brown sauce was fairly flavorless (which seems common with brown sauce everywhere) and hubby liked that the general's chicken was more spicy than sweet. To me, it was spicy and tasted like the green peppers that came with it. We both wished it had come with the usual broccoli instead of peppers. -Crab Rangoon: the best rangoons we've had in awhile! Perfect balance of crab, creamy cheese, and slight sweetness. The food was hot and fresh and you are able to order online, which is a nice benefit. We didn't feel like the food itself was worth the $60+ cost, though. We would try this place again for their ramen and snag the rangoons again.

When it gets cold, I start craving ramen and Hong's appeared in my search so I decided to give it a try. I was seated quickly and waited. The gentleman who sat me came over after a while and asked if the waitress had taken my drink order. Since she hadn't, he took it. A few minutes later, the waitress asked me what I wanted to drink and I told her it was already taken, so she walked away. The waiter brought me my drink and asked if the waitress had taken my order. Um, no. So, he took my order. I ordered the signature ramen, and it came out pretty quickly. The menu says the shrimp is tiger shrimp, but I'm skeptical. There were several of them, some cubes of beef (slightly dry, not seasoned), fish cake, egg, seaweed, mushrooms and bok choy. (If someone can tell me how to eat bok choy elegantly with chopsticks, I'd love to know.) Overall, it was flavorful, the broth was not clear but a more creamy consistency than I've seen before. The soup spoon was a monster, like a ladle, and I asked the waitress if it was indeed the soup spoon and she said it was. Across the room, I could see others eating with the usual ramen soup spoon, so I don't know if I was being punked or not. The napkin was awful. It appeared to be like one of those paper towels you use on dishes, yet it absorbed absolutely nothing, a problem when you're eating soup. The restaurant appeared clean and neat, the temperature was a tiny bit cold and I was already wearing a sweater. I was seated at a table along a bench that ran the entire length of the restaurant, but the seat was so deep that I couldn't lean back except at a very steep angle. I could see others struggling with it, too. So if you go, get a seat by the window, which doesn't have the bench. All in all, if I'm craving ramen I'll be back.

Take some time to try this place out! I understand it was only their soft opening, so service is a little slower, but it was well worth the wait! We started with the steamed dumplings which were amazing, especially dipped in the ponzu sauce. I tried the egg flower soup, which is just egg drop soup and husband got the hot and spicy. Both were delicious. For our mains, I got the braised beef ramen which was amazing!!! Imagine birria tacos as ramen. It was perfect. Husband got the kung pao chicken. I didn't grab a picture before he dug in to it. The chicken was tasty and it had a great slow burn. It's nicely decorated, full of tables but not crowded. It was busy, which was great for them and our server was attentive and even staggered our order so it didn't come out all at once. We can't wait to go try more!

We ordered the miso ramen, seaweed, salad, crab Rangoon and pork egg roll. The miso ramen broth was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waitress was Jennifer and she was very helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Dishes looked and tasted great! Got the beef noodle soup, a little spicy but not much, beef was very flavorful. Nice experience overall!

Tomo Poke Bowl had some good reviews so we gave it a try. The most difficult part of this experience was trying to find the business. It is located in a large commercial strip mall with Sunago Coffee being the flagship business in the very front of the complex, facing Hardin Valley Road. The building is on the southeast corner of Hardin Valley and Valley Vista Roads, and Tomo Pole Bowl is tucked into the south west corner and faces Valley Vista Road. Now that the directions are out of the way, for the food. Fantastic! It was unbelievable good. Fresh. Colorful. Delicious. and the sushi chef, Michael, is an artist. We sat at the sushi bar and watched as he meticulously crafted several sushi entrees, each dollop, drop and slice of yummy goodness artistically arranged. So appetizing. Almost too good to eat they were so pretty. We ordered the Hardin Valley Roll and the Rainbow Roll (both pictured in this review). Michael even threw in a free appetizer of friend salmon skins because it was our first time. Soooo good! They have a great beer selection, friendly staff and the restaurant was clean. This will definitely be on our list of repeats.

I saw the ramen on the Yelp pictures and it spoke to me, so I walked in and ordered some. You have to stand in line at the bar to order your food so that took awhile, but the food came out pretty quick. I wasn't too impressed with the ramen, and I've had ramen all over the world. The broth was good, I enjoyed the spicy flavor. However, having tomatoes in the ramen was weird and I didn't enjoy that. My biggest complaint is there was very little meat in the ramen, like 2 small chunks of brisket. It seems like a great place to have drinks and hang out, but as far as the food it was meh to me.
