The other auto shop said it was this price because the part was hard to find (I drive a Toyota Camry--not exactly exotic). I thought this was extremely high, so I called Clark Auto Repair for a second opinion. Sure enough, they quoted me only $250 for the part and installation. He also said that the part was very easy to find and could be purchased from any auto parts store (I believe the one they bought for my car was from Napa Auto Parts). He even apologized for the other repair shop for trying to take advantage of me for being a young woman. The repair was quick and easy and everything is working great! I will definitely be coming here for any work I need on my car, as well as referring all my friends and coworkers to Clark Auto Repair!

Firstly the loves: - I love the convenience of this shop being walkable to me - Woman-owned and operated - Supportive of other local businesses Things I don't love: - It isn't the cheapest. Even oil changes cost a bit more here. - At our last visit, we scheduled our oil change, dropped it off the day before, and it still took all day the following day before the service was completed. Not having a car all day for a regular oil change is not great. For me, it can be worth it for some services, but know that you will be paying a bit more and may not get the fastest completion of services.

I go to their website to check their hours and boom, there's a scheduling option where you can make an appointment and log all of your concerns ahead of time. They even had an option to reserve transportation to and from the shop. I got a text when my car was ready and a link to the inspection results along with a breakdown of any future work needed, talk about convenience. The woman I worked with at the shop was also friendly and reminded me how close they are to Short North, so you can easily walk to grab food or shop while waiting on your car. Went to look at the gas pump because I smelled so much gas, turns out they LITERALLY USED ZIP TIES to hold the hoses into place... Instead of buying the correct clip. At least they didn't charge an arm and a leg. Now I just need to find somewhere else to take that same car to get it professionally looked at and fixed. I'd also like to add that I had thousands set aside to pay this shop to get it running good.. so budget wasn't an issue.
