Took my 2011 Toyota Highlander to a dealer garage and they told me it needed a $5800 rear differential. Harris said they could do it for about $2000 less, but when they inspected the car they found it only needed a new wheel bearing, which they replaced for $700. Quick and Fantastic customer service and great price on oil change and tire rotation!

Pretty nice over the phone and they even diagnosed our Honda's air conditioning issue at no cost. Several hundred later we had cool air again. But the problem, I also paid to have all 4 tires re-mounted and balanced since he said they were leaking at the bead. We had to bring it back a week later because one was still losing air & they fixed it... no biggie. So fast forward another week and the one they just repaired blew out at 1am on the interstate during a road trip. Luckily my girlfriend has roadside assistance and got it changed out. I took it to a real tire shop and they said it looks like it blew out at the bead since there were no holes & the tires were in good shape. She ended up buying a whole new set of tires because she didn't trust the work they did. read more

After taking the cars we own to this shop..and tons of money spent i decided to get a couple secobd opions on the work that had been done..Con Artist.. an example these guys told me i needed a transmission replaced and i didnt on a car. This business is about taking the car in and needing tons of work done when the car comes out no matter what. Stay clear! read more

Great group of guys here, they are fair and honest. A lot better than other chain stores in the area. If you need repairs done this is the place to go. I took my car in 3 months ago and they pointed out my brakes were getting bad, before taking it there I was at a chain tire store and they told me the same thing how ever they were charging me 900.00 to do the work, where Harris was charging me 280.00 to do the same work. They offer fair and honest service if you live in Westerville or Blacklick then you should go to Harris for your automotive needs. read more

Justin diagnosed my van with a bad wheel bearing and gave me a quote slightly under what others were charging. He asked me if the van was under warranty and I told him I didn't think it was since I had purchased it used and it was right at 4 years old. Also I was in a huge rush and just wanted to get this fixed asap so I dropped off the keys to him and left. 5 mins later he gives me a call back to let me know that he contacted Nissan and gave them my vin number and that this repair was covered under warranty. I just moved to the Columbus area and needed to find a good mechanic. I like to support the local small businesses instead of the dealerships or large national chains. My Honda Odyssey needed a new radiator and I gave Harris a try. I found them to be very down to earth and willing to discuss the repairs with me. The repair cost was reasonable. I checked online and the price they charged me for parts appears to be at or near market with no large markup like some shops have. They were very transparent with their pricing and their labor rate is well below the dealerships. I definitely have found my guy for car repairs. Thanks for the good service guys! read more

This is by far the worst auto repair business in history...when you take your car in, they tell you it is one thing, then when you pick up the car it is still not right, you take it back to them and then they say it is something else, and of course that will cost more money....also parts they replace, they dont last more than 2-3 months if that, then need to be replaced again....they do not stand behind their work, I would be ashamed if I were a mechanic to be associated with this company. I have taken my vehicle to Harris Automotive several times, and each time I have been unsatisfied. Once I suspected sabotage because the battery conveniently died and both headlights burned out and blew fuses while the car was in the shop. The most recent time my car was stinking like sulfur, so I suggested it was possible that my car's catalytic converter might need replacing to the employees of Harris. They must have assumed I was an expert because they replaced the part without insuring it was indeed the problem. As it turned out, replacing my cat only made the smell go away for a week or so. I called to find out if they would do anything to compensate for this, and despite the fact that I was maintaining a civil tone and being reasonable, the person I spoke with lost his temper and began shouting, then refused to do anything about the problem. He insisted that "some cars just smell like that" (Like pungent rotten eggs? I call that bluff.) and that "there is nothing [they] are going to do about it". The small-business prices may be slightly better at Harris than at larger chains, but that discount is not worth the terrible service and unfriendly staff. I surely will never take my vehicle to Harris again. read more
