Took my Toyota there for radiator replacement. Nate is a great guy, really helpful, explains what is happening. Car doctors doesn't take your money just to the sake of business, they are honest people, they don't just replace, they evaluate, if it doesn't need it, they don't do it, I like that. They keep you updated through Text, and follow up text after you get your car back., I really appreciate and value this; very good quality in a shop, they treat their customers just like their own family. This isn't my first time going over there, each time I have had the same result. I will definitely give this shop a five

One word: Run. It was my first time using the Car Doctors, and it will be my last. I came in to resolve my AC issues. I left with AC issues and more. I spent over $1500 only for the AC issue to not be resolved and for new problems to be created. The Car Doctors did not fix my AC. They told me that they were installing an AC kit, but it turns out that they only installed a "compressor kit," which did not resolve the issue. The way that they communicated was deceitful. They also damaged parts on my car in an attempt to obtain more business. They damaged my engine ground wire, oil pan, and serpentine belt. The conversation that I had with Kevin when he called to tell me that my car was ready was alarming. In hindsight, it foreshadowed that they damaged my car. Kevin insisted that if anything is wrong bring it back. In response, I asked him, "Why would anything be wrong if you guys just fixed it?" He repeated himself and said that if anything is wrong bring it back to them. I reiterated, "You guys just did the diagnosis, and I bought an AC kit to address the issue so why would anything else be wrong?" I also asked what's in the AC kit. Kevin mentioned several parts. He insisted that I should bring my car back to them if anything is wrong and added that I shouldn't take my car anywhere else. I left that conversation with an uneasy feeling. This was a huge red flag. After picking up my car, I noticed new issues with my electrical system. My CarPlay monitor was flickering in and out. I later learned that the electrical issues were due to my engine ground wire being damaged. On April 20, 2024, the Car Doctors texted me asking how it was going. I responded and sent photos of the issues. The fact that they were checking in was another red flag for me. I remembered Kevin saying if anything is wrong bring it back, which was alarming because it seemed like they were planning for something to be wrong. I was concerned, so I drove around without music to listen to the car run. I heard a squealing noise that was not there before. I looked under the hood to see that my engine ground wire was damaged. It was not like that before taking it to the Car Doctors. The squealing noise turned out to be the serpentine belt, which is new. It was not like that before taking it to the Car Doctors. The AC stopped working. The Car Doctors did not fix my AC. Not only do I have photos proving that they damaged my car, but their own inspection proves this as well. When I came in on April 17, 2024, they inspected my car while they performed the AC diagnosis. The Car Doctors recommended that I get an oil change, left turn signal bulb, and windshield wiper blades. The ground wire and oil pan were not listed. The Car Doctors had my car overnight. When I picked up my car on April 18, 2024, they did another inspection and now my engine ground wire and oil pan need to be replaced. There was not an issue until they created one. In addition to damaging my engine ground wire and oil pan, they also damaged my serpentine belt. The belt is new. It wasn't squealing until after I brought it to them. I communicated the issues to the Car Doctors via text, and they denied any wrongdoing. They pretended that the car was like that and sent me inspection photos with the engine ground wire and oil pan damaged. They wanted me to bring my car back in, but I refused. I attempted to continue a text conversation, but they ignored me. I refuse to let them touch my car again because I do not trust them. I have photo evidence that the Car Doctors damaged my car. It is by the grace of God that I have these photos. Avoid the Car Doctors at all costs.

I dropped off my car here for a diagnostic concerning a fluid leak. The next morning I received a…read morecall back, assuring me the cause of the leak was a simple loose oil drain plug and oil filter, the issue was totally fixed, and it was no longer leaking. I picked my car up to find, after only 30 minutes of being home, that there was still a leak. I called and the man said it was "residual" and to run it through a car wash and it would be fine. I did as he instructed, but it continued leaking. I took it back to them that same day, and when they looked at it again they said it "looks like" the leak is coming from the oil filter, but likely wasn't the filter itself, rather it was the part the filter connects to on the engine. They were willing to replace that part for $500, and when I asked "but you don't know if that's actually going to fix the leak?" he said no. I spent $75 for the "diagnostic", $22 for a car wash, plus about $50 in Uber rides over the course of 24 hours and still never got an actual diagnosis for the leak. These guys are willing to load up the parts cannon (with your money, of course) and just start shooting. Biggest waste of time and money. Do not take your car here unless you are willing to spend entirely too much for them to only guess what might be wrong with your car, instead of simply cleaning the engine, adding some dye to the oil and looking to see where the leak is coming from - otherwise known as performing a proper diagnostic for an oil leak. To make matters worse, I also found a few things missing from my car after I left. It only cost me $50 to replace what was taken, but still, not a good look. It's also worth mentioning that when I took my car back to them for a second attempt at a proper diagnostic, I overheard a conversation between the man I dealt with through this process and another guy who was working there. They didn't realize I had come in yet, and the door between the lobby and the garage was left wide open so I overheard the one say he was going to "bring some of those pre rolls" and I'm assuming they were referring to pre rolled marijuana cigarettes, as I am not familiar with any other type of "pre rolls" that would make sense in the context of that particular conversation. I will never take my car to this or any AAMCO ever again. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a large, well known company I previously thought of as reputable, and it was also my worst experience with any mechanic, ever.

DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS! They are shady, and unprofessional, and try to take advantage of you!…read more On April 10, 2020 my wife took her Chevy Tahoe to Dave's Automotive right next door because the vehicle was shaking from under the hood while driving. Dave's advised that it MAY be something with the transmission, and they don't do transmission work, but they recommended that she go to Aamco right next door (across the parking lot). She went next door, and Aamco charged $45 for a diagnostic. They drove the vehicle and came back and said that there were leaks in the transmission, some gears were slipping, and metal shards in the transfer case/gearbox. They gave a quote of $3300.00 for a rebuilt transmission. We brought the truck home and put it in the garage while we were trying to figure out where to come up with $3300.00 and contemplating just getting another vehicle. I then remembered, one of my fraternal brothers owns a transmission shop (since 1987). I reached out to him to have him take a look at it. I took it to him on April 17,2020 and after driving it on I-71 for 4 exits at 80 MPH, he immediately diagnosed that the shaking wasnt from the transmission. He drove it back to his shop and looked up underneath at the transmission and said the transmission was fine and looked great (no leaks). He then diagnosed that the shaking was likely from a misfire. He recommended changing the spark plugs & wires. He personally couldn't replace the spark plugs and wires because he strictly does transmissions. Today April 20th, I had a mechanic family member replace the spark plugs and wires. I bought the OEM plugs & wires, plus I paid the mechanic. Total spent: $140.00! Problem solved. Truck is now riding like new! Also today, my wife and I went back to Aamco to lodge a complaint. The young fella at the desk said he was the manager (I forgot his name). We proceeded to tell him what happened. He kept saying, the transmission is gonna go out unless we do something about the leaks and metal shards. I told him that I took it elsewhere and it was diagnosed by a transmission specialist with over 30 years experience who said that nothing is wrong with the transmission. He kept saying it was. I advised him that he knows good and damn well that the NEVER diagnosed it, and just saw my wife come in alone, and saw dollar signs! This is absolutely pathetic and unprofessional! Another woman in the lobby while we were there said she brought her car in 2 months ago because it was shaking and $600.00 later, she's having the same exact problem. She said it was still shaking the same day she picked it up. At that time they said she needed a different part and would fix it when the part came in. That was 2 months ago and her car still isn't fixed! There's not an auto parts store in America where you wait 60 days + for a part, unless it's a classic car. Her car couldn't have been no more than 6-7 yrs old! This place is shady! THE WORST BUSINESS PRACTICES IN ALL OF CENTRAL OHIO! Not one time did this "manager" apologize or offer the $45.00 back for the OBVIOUS misdiagnosis! He just kept "defending the diagnosis that was given"! But don't worry, I got a really big and loud mouth! I will be placing reviews here on Google and Yelp. I will be sharing this horrible customer experience via all social media platforms and my over 5,000 followers. I will also lodge a formal complaint with the BBB, the Reynoldsburg City Attorney, and Reynoldsburg City Council, as I have a personal friend who currently sits on the City Council. You play checkers, I play chess....

I recently had the water pump replaced on my vehicle at Luke's Auto Shop. Unfortunately, shortly…read moreafter the repair, I discovered that a coolant hose clamp associated with the water pump had been left improperly installed. This caused coolant to leak into the engine bay and could have led to much more serious engine damage if it hadn't been caught quickly. A mistake like this is concerning because the cooling system is a critical component, and something as basic as verifying that all hose clamps are properly secured should be part of every final inspection before a vehicle is returned to the customer. That said, I also believe it's important to recognize when a business makes a genuine effort to address a problem. Once the issue was brought to the shop's attention, the service manager handled the situation professionally. While the original workmanship issue should not have occurred, he did what he could to make the situation right by listening to my concerns, arranging for the vehicle to be checked over, and working to restore my confidence in the repair. No repair shop is immune to mistakes, but how those mistakes are handled matters. In this case, the initial repair fell short of the standard I expected, but the service manager's professionalism and willingness to stand behind the work improved what could have been a much worse experience. Overall, I hope the shop strengthens its quality-control procedures to ensure critical items like coolant hose connections are verified before vehicles leave the shop. If they do, I believe they can provide a much more consistently positive customer experience.

First of all, when you set up an appointment, you can request a loaner car, so that you don't need to wait there for the car, and I didn't have to miss work. I also saw a different rep ordering someone an Uber for a different customer because who didn't have appointment so there wasn't a loaner available. Secondly, I originally went in for a transmission flush. While I was at work, I got a text and email of the inspection they had done. The inspection was really easy to read, and gave me different levels of recommendations for other things that needed to be done. Some things were urgent, and some things were needed soon, but not urgent, and there were some things that were for maintenance only. On my lunch break, I called my service rep, and he was able to talk me through all of the things on the report, and explain things to me, because I am pretty illiterate when it comes to cars. I ended up also getting my drive belt replaced as well. But my rep made sure to let me know what the price would before I decided to go through with it. At the end of my work day, I drove my loaner car back to Luke's and picked my car up, and was on my way. Overall, the inspection report, and the loaner car I think is what really separates Luke's from the rest. When I've taken my car to get an oil change or the tires replaced at other places, i've always had to wait in the lobby and its a waste of time. I lost no time with Luke's and knew exactly what was happening to my car. Take your car to Luke's if you want incredible service.
