By far my favorite coffee shop in Vancouver! Their cappuccino was incredible and so were the flaky and buttery croissants. It's a great place to hang out and catch up with friends, but the music is pretty loud. Great for the atmosphere but not ideal if you're planning to take a work call or need a quiet place to focus. read more

While visiting I wanted a coffee so we found this place. Very cute shop and pretty spacious. There is a 2nd room so head over there. I didn't find our cashier super friendly. He just said this is all we have. The menu is small so not a lot of variety and truly just basic coffee drinks. I was hoping for a frufru drink I guess but there was none. My cousin was going to order a snack but I saw little bugs flying around so I said to pass. It made it less appealing. We ended up with a cappuccino and vanilla latte. Both were smooth and good. I thought the size was a little small but this was my first latte in Canada so their sizes could be different from what I'm used to. . Overall solid coffee drink though. read more

I've had coffee all over the world, including Melbourne (where coffee is taken very seriously). This is the best coffee shop I've ever been to. The taste of their pour over coffee is extraordinary, & I could still taste flavor notes in my oat milk latte, which is hard to do. Vibe is very unpretentious and welcoming. Staff is chill & friendly. Merch is really cool. We were visiting & I bought four bags of coffee to take home. Great coffee shop! read more

The chocolate croissant went perfect with my hot chocolate! The service was served with a smile and a quick chat, since there was a line almost out the door. The old rustic brick building with nails in the wall shaped as Earth's continents was an art form! I would recommend going here and taking a short walk down the street before the hour to see the Steam Clock toot away a tune! read more

Solid coffee in a convenient location! It was easy to order with the knowledgeable baristas. My iced americano was delicious and didn't take too long to be ready. One thing to note is that I came during a summer day and it was extremely hot in the shop as if they didn't have any AC on. I can't imagine being able to study or work in that hot coffee shop, but there were definitely a lot of people doing so. I recommend grabbing coffee here if you're in Gastown! Definitely will be back to try the pour overs. read more

Kind service, cozy cafe, and best of all - excellent espresso. I came upon opening and tried two shots in the form of an espresso flight; both were already dialed in. If they weren't, then they've fooled me. I preferred the straight espresso to the macchiato in the flight, because the notes in the coffee are covered by milk - but it was worth a try to explore this cafe for the first time. I prefer straight espresso, anyway! The retail bags of coffee are wonderful examples of specialty coffee around the world. Great staff and awesome experience with a few rotating beans. The baristas are professional and skilled at making delicious drinks! Only thing that could be improved is the ambiance and experience inside the cafe - there were a lot of people on a Saturday, and the service was understandably lacking due to the volume. Northwest coffee culture is real. Came in to Revolver mid day on a Saturday, small wait but completely worth it. I'm not a regular coffee drinker but even I can tell that the coffee here is very very good! I think I had my best cup of macchiato here :) They have some pastries if you go early enough and they were not bad. Seating is limited so please enjoy your cup of Joe and kindly move on for the next party :) read more

Clearly a spot that has quality coffee and great options. The staff was friendly although not super helpful when the group in front of me who were clearly not well versed in various menu items were trying to decide what they'd like to have. The location was very small until we discovered the second room connected with more seating. It makes me wish they'd remove the seating my the register then because it was very tight and difficult to navigate while there were lots of people waiting for drinks and no space. Coffee was delicious though; they know what they're doing on that front! read more

Revolver knows what they're doing! I left happy and upset. Happy because good coffee makes me so happy and this latte was one of the smoothest lattes I have ever had. The vanilla was very fragrant. The drinking experience was also fantastic -- great cup lid! Upset because for some reason coffee does not taste this good back home in the states! Walking into the door you see bags of coffee from some of the best the world has to offer, so you immediately know this is a good place if you're a coffee snob, like moi. They brew pour overs with the NextLevel Pulsar--a great coffee gadget for 1% of the esoteric nerds out there. Finally tried Revolver after all these time. Place was pretty busy even during odd hours, which I think speaks about their reputation. I think if you don't want the crowd, place can be good to just chill or do some study/work. Service was fast and prompt for my cappuccino but I think I am just not a fan of their espresso blend. I could see they have very interesting option for pour over though so will be back to try those. read more

All I had was an iced americano, so I can't speak too much about their specialty drinks. The coffee itself was good, and had nice flavor, but was a little more acidic than I normally enjoy. The only reason I took away a star was because of the layout of the cafe. It has a bar like setting, so when you're waiting for your coffee it's awkward standing next to booths that are occupied. Otherwise the staff was friendly and I enjoyed my coffee! I would be excited to try a latte next time. read more

Really flavorful coffee. Such a sweet find in the city. They offer exceptional coffee-- drip, espresso, pour-over... and even flights. I tried their espresso-latte flight and it was a great way to sample the different aroma notes in the beans. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They also offer wifi and have an abundance of seating in the coffee shop which makes it a great place to do some work. It was my first time in Vancouver and I needed to access the internet-- I realized not many coffee spots offer wifi over here. Overall, it was the best coffee experience I've had in a long time. The coffee here was delightfully rich in flavour. I usually go for low-acidity options, but even the dark roast, despite its noticeable acidity, was quite enjoyable. Revolver was AMAZING. A speciality coffee lover's heaven. The staff were very nice and accommodating, especially considering this espresso machine had a once-in-a-lifetime repair just as we came in so we had to wait a while for espresso drinks. I love the variety of coffees, the pour overs were super tasty, and the espresso flight was fun to try. The pastries were actually very good too. While sipping on our pour overs it was fun to watch the bustling of the bar and appreciate the attention to detail in the space. I cannot wait to go to here again. read more

The coffee here is absolutely delicious and the customer service is wonderful. However, the biggest downside is that it's not accessible at all for people in wheelchairs or with limited mobility -- the only way in is through very narrow stairs. It's also extremely challenging for anyone with a stroller. I truly hope they can consider ways to improve accessibility in the future, because otherwise it's a fantastic spot. read more

This coffee shop is located very close to the Gastown steam clock. I'm only rating it a 4/5 just because I didn't get to try their coffee and pastries as I only went here to grab some beans. They do have an impressive display of baked goods though. What piqued my interest to enter in the first place is their wall of curated coffee beans that turned out to be sourced from all over the world--from Japan, Korea, Europe, and even local Canadian ones. They also specify which brewing method the beans are best suited for. I ended up getting one from Winnipeg for a reasonable price. read more

We always need our daily coffee, and so my boyfriend and I decided to try Revolver. We ordered the Latte ($5.70) and the Espresso Tasting Flight ($9). The Espresso Tasting Flight comes with two types of espresso, each as a shot and then with milk. I didn't catch the names of the espresso for today, but one of them was EXTREMELY bitter it sent chills down my back LOL. The other was more mellow and I was able to enjoy the flavor. The latte was also tasty with a strong coffee flavor that was complex but not overly bitter. Honestly the VIBE is immaculate. There's plenty of seating both in the main cafe and next door. Always love to explore new coffee places in a different city. This place is legit! I'm a coffee lover and finding a place that offers flights... I'm all over it. It was two type of coffee prepared as a shot and a second with whole milk, so 4 total. I picked up a Honey Donut for the first time and man... paired so well. I should have just gone with my original gut instinct and chosen a hot beverage like Hojicha Latte or something like that. I was sort of thirsting for something cooler for a change though, and the Cherry Matcha Tonic was the first "cool" drink that caught my eye so I decided to go for it. Won't do that again. Everything else was good though. The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was the star of the show! In the store there's a sign beneath their gelato section that says "Canadian Gelato Champion". I believe it after tasting the Sea Salt Caramel! They had Nama Chocolates too. I was tempted to get some but...only so much a person's wallet and waistline can handle at one time. Will try the Nama Chocolate some other time. You can order in person here, or you can place an "Express" order at the Kiosk. We tried both ways of ordering. Ordered at the counter first and then after finished my Cherry Matcha Tonic decided I wanted to try the Sea Salt Gelato so then tried ordering that from the Kiosk. Most of the parking in this area is paid but I lucked out and got a free spot right around the corner from this place!

I could tell even from outside that it's a popular work and study type of coffee shop with your free wifi and outlets. I hope this post doesn't give it away and make it way too crowded for me to find a seat next time. There's a steady flow of people visiting the stores while I was there on a weekday between late afternoon and early evening but there's always extra seat for anyone new looking for a desk to work or chat with friends. A few could be better are the pricing and temperature. They offer free oat milk substitute and -$0.35 for bringing your own cup but no more employee discount. And it was so cold in there, I could see a lot of people kept their winter jackets on, I don't think it's a heating issue but the constant windy seems to suggest the AC is on rather than the heater, oh wells Im out of there now. For that reason, unless I'm bundled up, it'll be a hard sale to be back again! I got a hojicha latte and it as pretty good, perfect sweetness and temperature for my cold with no ice. The barista was super great to work with.

My sister talked up their frozen matcha here and it delivered! I got the frozen matcha that they are known for and I added a little of the passion fruit syrup which is actual fruit. This was excellent. They also do the traditional strawberry as well. They also had the best cardamom bun I've ever had. Truly a must visit if you live here or you're visiting. Both were delicious - the matcha latte with oat milk was extra creamy, and it was clear the matcha was high-quality. One of my favorite matcha drinks, ever! I also ordered a cowdog cookie, which I devoured before being able to take a photo of it - it was delicious and had great texture! Service was friendly, although the cafe is a bit small on the inside. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in town!

The food was delivered hot by our Uber Eats driver and everything tasted amazing despite the 35 degree weather. The London Fog is what I have to really highlight. It is an Earl Grey tea latte with a hint of vanilla. I went for the regular sweetness level to taste the true aromatics in this 20 ounce cup. I'll definitely order it again.

Knowing how good 49th Parallel is with coffee I thought I'd try their version of the London Fog. I wasn't disappointed. In fact it was best London Fog I've ever had. I've had them at other places but I've never seen a preparation like 49th. They use loose leaf Earl Gray tea in a tall paper tea bag. They put the bag in your cup pour the steamed milk in and the tea steeps right into the milk. It's the smoothest London Fog I've had and isn't cloyingly sweet like many I've had.

My other half also grabbed an Americano to go with it all. The chestnut brûlée donut was my fav of the bunch. The chestnut flavor was perfectly balanced--nice and light. The sandwiches were also good, especially thanks to that pillowy soft brioche. Overall, 49th Parallel was the perfect stop for a small, simple snack! Would recommend.

And they were delicious . Each items were the size of my my palm. The cafe is located near the public library on Robson Street in downtown with access through public transportation. The cafe itself was charming and welcoming with plenty of space to site with friends and co-workers or just by yourself if you need to work on some projects or just read a book.
