Props to Aiden my salesperson he was very informative along with knowledge and very friendly, He wasn't trying to up sell me for another more expensive print. Once I came into he's department he approached me and ask if I needed help. I then explained to him I need a black and laser printer . I advised him that I just need a plain printer that just prints email. I don't need anything like wireless or scanner . I said yes, and she simply told me to follow the prompts on the screen. What she did NOT tell me was that she was starting me on an application for a Best Buy credit card that would result in a hard inquiry on my credit report. Yes, I should have paid closer attention to the prompts, and I take responsibility for that. But that does not excuse the way this was presented. There is a huge difference between asking a customer, "Do you want $35 back on your next purchase?" and asking, "Would you like to apply for a credit card?" Had the cashier simply said the words "credit card application," I would have immediately declined. Employees should not be initiating credit applications by describing them as an opportunity to get money back and then relying on the customer to figure out what is happening from the payment terminal. A financial product that can affect someone's credit deserves clear, verbal disclosure before the process is started. I walked into Best Buy to make a purchase. I walked out with an unwanted hard inquiry on my credit report because of a credit card application I never knowingly intended to start. Best Buy needs to do better.

My bestie who's very picky with customer service made the choice and advise me as well yeeeeeeears ago when there was contracts back then and I still agree how great they are to this day. Always friendly and helpful even when I have a ridiculous question they do take care the best they can. This location is in SALT at Kaka'ako and the lot right along Ala Moana Blvd does seem intimidating but it's so easy as the first hour is free no validation is needed which is something I shouldn't say as this location is always pretty mellow. Another reason...how about T-Mobile Tuesday!?! You do need the app but every week there's a deal and sometimes merchandise you do need to pick up on Tuesday only. I've gotten cup, mug, drawstring bag, umbrella and even a selfie light which I used viewing Christmas lights at Honolulu Hale. Be a smart cookie as browsing around is exausting...thank you T-Mobile!

This week (1-24-23), customers could pick up an umbrella from any T-Mobile store. I used my Yelp app and located the nearest store - which was at the SALT complex on the corner of Ala Moana Boulevard and Keawe Street. Ahh... I've passed by that location many times. It's along the strip of businesses: Moku Kitchen, Starbucks, and Highway Inn! They have a parking lot right in front. Enter the parking lot from Coral Street Take a ticket from the machine and the "arm" will lift. Even though it's a paid parking lot you will not have to pay because the transaction will be quick. The first hour of parking is free! When I entered the spacious shop, Chris greeted me right away! He's so personable and helpful! I told him he's really good at his job! I commented that this store is the largest that I've ever seen. He explained that it used to be one of two Sprint stores on O'ahu and - at that time - Sprint needed the space because there were a lot of customers split between two locations. Now that Sprint and T-Mobile have merged, the Sprint customers can go anywhere that T-Mobile is now! Yay! Anyway, Chris guided me through the redemption process - click here and there on the T-Mobile Tuesday app... And voila! I got the free T-Mobile umbrella! It's perfect! Thanks to Chris and T-Mobile for a wonderful experience! I wouldn't hesitate to return - if I ever had a question!

I have been sending my employees here for many more years than I would like to admit. I decided to take my kids with me as a learning experience as we were doing a home networking project. We needed a 16 port PoE switch, thats all. It should have been easy to find, or even order, but no one offered any assistance at all. Which again is understandable because customer service is not their forte. Nonetheless, when I finally found where the PoE Switches were it made sense that I could not find them. They are situated behind what looks like a help desk with an employee sitting at it. This is the root of my one star review. The person sitting at this station, did not acknowledge us at all but for a subtle scoot of his stool to make room for us to look behind him at the switches. At first I was confused, by this thinking it was an employee only area. But then I realized that the employee was glued to the YouTube playing on his screen, totally explaining his inability to acknowledge our existence. If he was my employee, he would have to be retrained or find someplace else to work. Meh. It is what it is. When I saw this, I said forget it, went home and bought my 16 port PoE Switch on Amazon. Like I mentioned earlier, they have a really good product selection. But if you are rushed for time, not familiar with their store, or not sure what exactly you are looking for they are not like BestBuy, CompUSA or Circuit City by any means at all.

As far as I remember, I've always thought of the place as an audio/visual installation company until one day through a chance meeting with the store owner's classmate; he recommended that I check-out "Audio Lab". When I did, boy was I in for a surprise! It was no installation company! The store is owned by Tom Choy, who is a very intelligible and helpful when assisting in making decisions regarding HiFi equipment. This place has it all, from the affordable to the outlandishly expensive. If you have the time, Tom is more than willing to demo any one of the equipment for sale. Note: The location of the store has moved to a little strip-mall just off of Ward Ave. If you're in the market for a new home stereo (including A/V) or just wanted to see some of the best that money can buy, check this place out! He sounded like he knew his stuff, had a lot of equipment and my friend said he was willing to barter. I bought a pair of Martin Logan quests that he had on consignment from a kid. These are 6ft tall Electrostatic speakers that sounded awesome in his shop from 8ft away. I got them home and noticed that they always made a static hum when plugged in. After I spoke with Tom he actually sent the kid who had them in consignment to look at them at my house. The kid literally showed me photos of where he bought them, how he refurbished them and actually showered with the panel's to clean them. Yes he had a video of him in the shower with them... Needless to say, even if the hum could be solved I wanted these things gone since i knew they were a RIP off since the kid bought them for a hundred bucks and tom told me they were a steal for 2500. Tom gave me a junk old sony tower to replace these things until my 8,000 kef order came in. After a month I asked for shipping information and Tom said they were making them in the factory still. Smelling something rotten I told him to give me an email from the manufacturer saying there was a delay in shipment. Then Tom said they were shipped and on the boat. Another month later I asked for the speakers and Tol gave me a story about how there was a shipping error. I told him I know how to ship and the way it works, there was no error you never ordered them. He came clean and said yes, Kef wouldnt send him speakers unless he paid them first and he didnt have money to ship them. I was amazed that Tom didnt use my money to order speakers i.bought. After threatening lawsuits and sending him a convincing demand letter (I am good at making them) he gave me 2 checks to cash 2 weeks apart. Tom is a nice guy but a horrible businessman. He also gave me great NIB speakers that were probably 10 years old and were sitting in a warehouse but he said they were new, 10 year old new speakers are still 10 years old. Back to my friend. I told him the story and he said "sounds like Tom" basically he bought a subwoofer from tom that ended up being completely broken because Tom never even hooked it up. Tom refunded my friend all his money and my friend was smart enough to call the manufacturer to get all the replaced parts for the sub, so basically my friend got a pair (another story) of $2500 subs because Tom is an idiot. Buy his stuff, but DO NOT GIVR HIM MONEY WITHOUT PRODUCT IN HAND

I can safely say this Target passes my restroom accessibility check. Having access to a public restroom makes such a big difference, especially when you're out running errands. Unfortunately, the family restroom was completely trashed during my visit. I'm grateful that businesses offer these facilities, but seeing conditions like this also makes me understand why some businesses may hesitate to keep their restrooms open and accessible to everyone. I hope we can all do our part by treating these shared spaces with respect. A clean restroom is a small thing that can make someone's day so much easier. On another note, I enjoy going to this Target. If I'm not mistaken, I've stopped by here, at least three times already and I love what I see. I just want to spend hours here and go aisle by aisle! That is an adventure for another day.

I ordered a microwave online for curbside pick up as hurricane Lala killed mine. It was the perfect size and the price was great. Everything went smooth when I picked it up, until I got home. The box was crushed in one corner, (shielded from my eyes by the worker who loaded it into my car.) and had been reshaped to look acceptable. Upon opening the box, we saw the styrofoam protector surrounding the device in the crushed corner was damaged. We knew it did not protect the unit as it was pretty thin. There was going to be damage. We got it onto the counter and saw it immediately. The corner of the unit was not damaged, but the whole front was. The housing was bent, the keypad was askew and the door wouldn't close, not even a little. A crushed corner is a red flag, and the product of this type should not be put out for sale. The contents are heavy so being dropped from a low height causes major damage. "It's just the box, the contents are fine.", is the thought process of humans that made this box end up in my car. So here we are, me without a working microwave and writing a bad review at 3am, as the store's reputation needs to be upheld. To all consumers, Inspect all packaging of appliances BEFORE leaving the store, especially for crushed corners, and holes in appliance boxes!! If small appliance, ask to inspect the contents before purchasing. (Would you buy tomatoes packed inside a cardboard box that has been damaged, on faith?)

Every time I declined one product, she immediately moved to another without giving me time to think or compare prices. I felt rushed into making decisions I wasn't prepared to make. I ended up buying five sets of headphones. Looking back, I believe I was overwhelmed by the high-pressure sales tactics and agreed to a purchase I never would have made under normal circumstances. Within two days, after thinking about what had happened, I called the store and asked to return everything. The headphones were unopened and in brand-new condition. Shiraz refused the return, explaining that the store only offers exchanges. When I told her no one had informed me that all sales were final, she replied, "I'm not supposed to tell if you don't ask." That response was very disappointing because I believe a policy as important as "all sales are final" should be clearly disclosed before a customer makes a purchase, not left for them to discover after the sale. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, but because I had signed the receipt, the dispute was ultimately denied. I was left with products I deeply regretted purchasing and eventually gave all five sets away because I didn't even want to be reminded of the experience. If you're considering buying anything from IQ Gadgets, I encourage you to read the reviews first and ask about the return policy before making a purchase. Most importantly, don't let yourself be rushed into making an expensive decision. I walked into the store intending only to browse. I walked out with five pairs of headphones I never planned to buy and an experience I regretted almost immediately. Based on my experience, I would not recommend IQ Gadgets.
