I've been to a lot of bars. And a lot of bars during busy times (read, World Cup found if 16) and I can't say enough good things about Honor and all their staff. It was our first visit, we got here Saturday morning at 9:30 and it was crazy busy. Everyone here was well trained, efficient and so friendly. This may sound weird but we liked it so much we came back when we had a babysitter that same night. Chase was wonderful. We knew it was his second shift (he had been working the morning and the evening we went there) and he was as friendly as ever. I'm a little afraid to share this review because I'm afraid this place will get too busy, but they should know how good they are doing. read more

We went here for lunch and we're pretty disappointed in just about everything we ordered. I will say their cherry wheat ale was pretty good, but they don't offer flights yet, so I didn't try any other beers.. All the food tasted store bought. I had a brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese. The brisket was tough and not very flavorful. The max and cheese tasted pretty similar to Kraft. I took two bites and quit. My wife had the prime rib dip sandwich, which tasted like the same meat as the brisket. The au jus sauce wasn't bad, but otherwise the sandwich was nothing special. The crab dip didn't smell too fresh and tasted store bought. Again, we took two bites and quit. I preface my review with the fact that my husband and I visit dozens of breweries each year. Today we decided to try Honor Brewing for the first time. The service was great. We sat at the bar and were served right away by a very friendly bartender. My husband and I ordered flights of beer and an order of crab dip. All of these were terrible. The beers tasted soapy and bland (my husband suspects dirty tap lines). In fact it was difficult to differentiate flavors among the beers we tried. The crab dip reminded me of the frozen variety one might buy at Safeway. It was so bad that we paid our check and left it all sitting on the bar top. Richard here again. I went back this weekend to try the brunch and once again was not disappointed ! Kelly was not working this weekend but Brittney, a twelve year veteran of the company was right there to provide the same quality of service I had the weekend before. Once again I never had to ask for a new drink, she was Johnny on the spot with a new one. I had the biscuits and gravy and it was very good, the only recommendation I would have there is a little more gravy or at least maybe a side bowl just to add. I myself like a lot gravy, some people may not so that's a personal preference. Well glad I decided to return, again was not let down with the service or the food! I found this restaurant on Uber Eats. I got fish and beef taco , both are so fresh and delicious. The wings is also yummy. Will definitely try out the brews and other food. The place is very roomy/airy and clean. Great ambience to hangout for some good food/drinks. read more

Several friends and I have been here twice for Happy hour and both times, our drinks, service and desserts were excellent. We ordered 1 appetizer (Tex-Mex rolls?) and they were yummy. I love the updated venue appearance compared to what it used to be, it's very welcoming and I love the floors! Decided to check it out today. Place looks great, the noise on the patio from the street sucks but that can't be helped. The brisket and chicken blt sandwiches looked good so we split them both. The blt was pretty good, can't complain. The brisket had good enough flavor but unfortunately the grease pouring out of it was just ridiculous. I would not order it again and can't recommend it. Other items on the menu look decent though and it's probably not a bad place to catch a game. read more

I was initially going to go to a different restaurant, but there was an emergency happening there, so I happened past Honor and decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. The food was really good and the staff went above and beyond when there were a few issues with my order ( I didn't ask or expect anything special, they did it just to make small issues better.) I have mixed thoughts about our visit to Honor Brewing Company, but let's start with the positive. My wife and I thought the food was excellent. We started with the Tex Mex Egg Rolls and they were great. The table next to us ordered the Jalapeno Cheddar Jack Jumbo Pretzel and they aren't lying about the "jumbo" part - that thing was huge and looked delicious. For dinner my wife got the Smash Burger and it was great. I had a bite and the boom-boom sauce and bacon jam gave it a nice bite. She also swapped out the fries for the roasted brussel sprouts and (I'm told) they were awesome (I'm not a fan so I didn't try those). I got the Street Tacos (steak, fish, and pork bbq) and was very pleased. The steak one seemed pretty basic, but the fish and pork bbq tacos were amazing. If I had to pick just one I'd go with the fish - very crispy beer-battered fish with mango salsa. The reason why we have mixed thoughts about this place was because of the ordering system. They don't have a wait staff to take your order. You need to scan a QR code when you get to your table and then place your order on your cell phone. This creates "friction", and in any business I think you want as much of a friction-less ordering process as possible. When you go to a restaurant you are likely very hungry and thirsty and hope to meet a friendly face and get your drink and appetizer order in quickly. Having to scan a QR code, sign up for an account, verify your email address, then enter your credit card number before you can place your order creates a lot of friction. This wasn't a problem for us, but I can't imagine what my 83 year-old mother-in-law would have done if she came in for lunch. Our other pet-peeve was that after having to do all of the ordering on our phones (and there seems no way to even order a water) is that when you check out, it suggests a 20% tip. Really? While I was impressed with the bussing staff that came by and cleared our table occasionally, I think 20% seems a little excessive when the whole online ordering system seems designed to eliminate the need for a wait staff. read more

This was our second visit to Honor Brewing Kitchen. Both times the food has been excellent! Today we ordered the chicken noodle soup which was probably the best chicken noodle soup I have ever eaten! The broth was absolutely delicious, with huge chunks of chicken carrots and a generous serving. The restaurant is clean and the service attentive and quick. Highly recommend! read more

SUPER disappointed to find out Mike Cordero has his name attached to this place. What a joke. Came on a Saturday around 3. Dead inside. First red flag. Ordered a bunch of beers, to include a flight. Flight comes out wrong. 2nd red flag. Ordered the Buffalo chicken dip and egg rolls. The Buffalo dip had ok flavor but the pieces of chicken were oddly large and it was OBVIOUSLY dark meat. Cmonnn!! What an obvious way to cut costs, and make it obvious to the customer. The chips it came with were disgusting. They are clearly pre packaged and they must be ordering from a crap cheap supplier that makes their own terrible cost cutting choices, as the chips tasted like old frying oil. Literally no Tortilla taste. Just old oil. Move on to the flight. I accidentally ordered their spruce beer. Didn't really look at the menu closely so my bad, but when I asked if I could switch it out, I was told no. LOL. So you'd rather have an unhappy customer than give them another 4 ounces of a different beer????? OK! Good choice. ::eyeroll:: No way this place is lasting. read more

I guess jingoism makes every dish a little extra expensive? I tried three beers - two were cloying, but the DIPA was great... but it IS named after how many people a commander is willing to have killed during a military operation, which was a little off-putting. The smartphone ordering system is obnoxious. The food is mediocre at best, but priced inappropriately for what you get. Only two stalls in the ladies' room. The servers do wear fun shirts: "Honor those that serve" which I hope keeps rowdy guests from being rude to them. Overall, Northern Virginia has enough places that mix military worship and alcohol intake that have better beer and food. read more

Nbest bar food in the DMV. Their pizzas are surprisingly fantastic as you wouldn't think pizza would be great at a bar/beer restaurant. Can not say enough about this place. Can in on Sunday night with one of my friends for dinner and drinks. We were greeted by Chase and Jordan, chase had given us waters before we had even asked for them. They were extremely attentive and very helpful with their suggestions on food. We hesitated coming here because we really liked the previous establishment (Prime Time). My son and his girlfriend came home for the holidays and we decided to give it a go. Oh my goodness...not in the least bit disappointed and we'll definitely be back! We had the wings (Cajun spiced) and Buffalo chicken dip...WOW! So good. Fish n chips gets high marks, smash burger was to die for, and the ribeye dip sammich....yum! Beers outstanding! The fries....the fries...think about the franchise known for fries....and here ya go!
