You can only do driver license stuff here,I don't think they do road testing anymore and registration is a whole other operation on another street. This DMV does close for lunch and is only open 3 days a week but I highly recommend it. I did get there about half an hour before the lunch break but was told that if I was in the door before the lunch hour that they would serve me. (Which doesn't hold true for the car registration place)

Then told me "that's what I would do." Well we aren't all a**holes. So some of us don't think that's right to break the rules. I would say there needs to be 2 kiosks. One for people with appointments that actually plan to be on time and one for walk-ins and mark them accordingly. The website asks us to book an appointment and be there 10 min early. But the line is for everyone. It took over an hour in the line and when I got to the kiosk to check in, my appointment lapsed and they told me to make a new appointment.

Knowing that the (current) deadline is May, I had to make an appointment just in case I had a reason to fly somewhere...hey it could happen. My appointment was at 10:30 am. The line was wrapped around the building. I was pretending like I was ok with it, but when someone came out and said everyone with appointments could jump the line and move up, I kicked it up to fourth gear. Unfortunately this excitement didn't last long. I got to the front of the line, and then an announcement comes over the intercom. "Entire state of Oregon has outage. License printing is down." I know I wasn't the only person upset, but it kinda killed my buzz. The woman who verified my information was super nice though. She was very impressed that I had all of the correct documents. Well since it opens tomorrow at 8 am, I am gonna take the trip out there and pray that the system is back up. If I am smart I will call before I go.

He obviously toned down his catty attitude when the camera was on.
