Me and my dogs are working on solving the fence fighting issue, and so far one of them is actually responsive to my efforts. When I reached out to Michael I didn't think that much can be done, but now I see a light at the end of a very, very long tunnel :). All our sessions have been online so far, as few days before our first scheduled meeting the stay at home order was placed. Online conference worked just as well for us, and we didn't have to delay the training any longer. Playtime was not fun for us because he would get too worked up and end up with what I called a "zoomy meltdown", which involved a lot of jumping and nipping. The fellas looked well cared for when my son picked them up! My son forgot to check for the dogs blankets when he picked them up and Brian kindly drove them down to the city where we live so that the dogs would have them. Before she went, I'd worked with her on sit, down, take it, leave it, and some spins with decent success. Brian took what she had and built on it, adding heel, come when called, turn, and stay. He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. We brought Travis in to privately train her so she didn't have to deal with the stress of a group setting and because we wanted a tailored training program. With Lone Star Dog Training, we received an excellent job. Travis educated us about how training is important and what results he felt we could see. Over the course of 4 months, Rosie went from being aggressive toward our other dogs to feeling safe and comfortable with them. She's even adopted our 12 year old border terrier as her sister. Our trainer, Monica, was excellent with Daisy and what I loved most about her was that she would explain to us how she was training our dog and also why she would do something a certain way. A lot of times she would comment about how this reinforces some sort of behavior or would boost Daisy's confidence, etc. At one point of our training Daisy didn't take well to the previous lesson (down lesson) and Daisy wasn't receptive to the next training session and was extremely nervous and jittery. Monica picked up on this right away and instead of just charging through, took a step back to assess the situation and told us that this lesson would be free since Daisy wasn't herself and even considered bringing another trainer in. We were extremely appreciative of this gesture and found it to be very considerate and professional. We were a little nervous starting out the training because Daisy is an extremely sensitive and submissive dog, but at the end of the training (which was today) her confidence levels are much higher and she seems to be a much happier dog!!! Daisy is far from perfect but her discipline and manners are getting better every day and we love seeing her progress and growth. We highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training. They said they would make it right we went to do an assessment last weekend. The gentleman told us everything would be covered since they were filing a federal case against the old trainer that took advantage of us. We just got a call that we would have to pay another $3000 and they were gonna give us $200 off. I can't believe they took advantage of us like this. I would not recommend this company to anyone. We adopted our new dog,…read moreSadie, from the Houston SPCA in June, and with her already being three, we knew that we would need some help getting her trained. We set up an initial training session with Mindy, and things went really well. She brought us a few things the first time she came over that we did not have but would need for the training process. With Sadie's breed, she is a very smart dog and started to pick up on the training rather quickly, so we signed up for a plan for more training sessions. These training sessions were at home, in public at places like Home Depot and Memorial Park, and at group class sessions with other dogs and their owners. We worked on basic commands such as sit and stay, but went beyond the casual side and attacked the more advanced stages, such as getting Sadie to sit and stay in the middle of running. The biggest takeaway from working with Mindy was that, outside of the basic commands, she really focused on asking us what we wanted to work on and made that the task at hand. She tailored her services to our wants, and that really sticks out. She was thoughtful and explained the reasoning behind anything she wanted us to work on and would answer any questions that we had. One of our biggest things we wanted to work on was Sadie's interaction with other people, so during that very next group class, she had a training exercise with the other owners and their dogs to work on that. Good Lead Dog Training really showed the importance of dog training and that it is an essential part of being a responsible dog owner, and that benefits both the dog and the owner. Training establishes communication and mutual understanding, helping a dog learn acceptable behaviors and boundaries while strengthening their bond with their owner. I couldn't take her anywhere. I had already spent an outrageous amount of money on another trainer with no success. I was seriously considering rehoming her. But my vet recommended Corinna and when I met her I could see immediately see, she was different. When my dog came at her with over zealous excitement Corinna handled her quietly and firmly, with very little exertion on her part. Maya spent 3 weeks at her Board & Train. Corinna sent me regular videos of Maya's progress and I couldn't believe I was seeing my dog. We could never leave our house for more than 15 minutes without him soiling in his crate and destroying our home. And he was horrified by just about anything. Strong winds. Garbage can lids. Golf carts. Bikes. Birds. But his greatest fear was children and their high-pitched voices. Unfortunately, predicting when kids would pop out during our walks was impossible. Our dog is very affectionate and sweet when calm, but when triggered, he would forget about his surroundings and aggressively scratch his way home (he's a big dog too), resulting in unintentional injuries for my husband and me. Lorena constantly adjusted the training as needed to my dogs specific issues and personality. I appreciate that all training was in a positive manner. My dog now willingly jumps into her crate in the car with no hesitation. We have moved on to private classes at the facility and then participated in our first group nose work classes. While it's been a long process I see great improvements in both my ability to work with my dog and my dogs overall training. I would highly recommend.

When I was one of the lucky ones that went several days without power, Crystal jumped in with extra visits, no problem. GUYS...She even cleaned out my fridge and freezer of spoiled food! YOU READ THAT RIGHT! Voluntarily, she got rid of perishables that were going to be a problem. Good thing, I didn't get power back for another 5 days! What a mess I would've had. She also improvised extra water for the cats through the outage and made everything work for the well being of everyone (physical for cats and mentally for me!). This is my experience with Crystal's Cozy pets…read more My family and I have used Crystal's Cozy Pets for the last two years. We have had various animals that they have watched through out the years but most recently we have a 7 year old German Shepherd and a 7 month old Lab plus a kitten and two cats. Our sitter has been Hailey. In the beginning, everything was great! We would leave on a 10 day road trip and Hailey would come 4 times a day to take of the animals and we would get updates on the animals plus pictures. After some time, we started getting complaints about our dog Leo, the German Shepherd. That he was jumping on Hailey and causing scratches on her back. After that trip, I asked the owner, Crystal, if they could can still handle Leo and the verified "yes" that he was no problem. As time went on, we got Oso, a lab puppy. We just left on another 10 day road trip and received nothing but complaints and nagging about Oso almost every time Hailey went to our home. She complained so much about him, my husband and I stop replying to her messages. She accused my Oso of nipping and bitting her, which he has never done with me or my kids. I have video footage of her yelling at him and being aggressive towards him because once again, I have a 7 month puppy that will jump on her. Which 7 month old puppies will do! Hailey literally complained about almost everything about Oso. Aren't you a dog sitter? You are supposed to love animals but we definitely do not feel the love for our animals at all during this trip. Hailey is not qualified or has the the patience to deal with puppies or big dogs. 7 days into our trip, we are literally thousands of miles away and Crystal, the owner, calls us to say they no longer can take care of Oso and we need to come home! Or find another arrangement of care for him while we are still on the other side of the country! Are you kidding me?!? Thankfully, we found a lovely young man that was able to do it and he has been wonderful and says Oso is a wonderful puppy and has no issues with him! WOW! What a difference! Thankfully, since our family trip was intentionally ruined with Hailey and her complaints, we finally got to relax our last two days with the help with our new dog sitter, Junior! Honestly, we were not going to book with Crystal's Cozy Pets this trip, but wanted to give them another try. Boy, I should have listened to my gut. When you on vacation, you should be confident that you leave your pets in the hands of someone that will love and take care of them like you would and in all honesty, I don't feel like CCP's can do that.
