Our cat is very attached to us and doesn't like strangers at all, but he became friends with Pam right off the bat - we couldn't believe it! It was extremely reassuring to see the bond they developed and it gave us such peace of mind while we were 3,000 miles away. From the very beginning, Pam stood out to us because her main concern and #1 priority is the well-being of the pet(s). She takes great care to ask about their likes and dislikes, personality, food preferences, health, etc. and we can say from personal experience that Pam will treat your pet(s) as if they were her own - with much love, care, and respect. Never did we feel that her attention was elsewhere. And our sweet cat loved the twice-a-day visits. Pam took such good care of him, including feeding (with some very specific instructions!) brushing, hang-out time, and litter box cleanings. He was in good hands and we couldn't be more grateful. When I was one of the lucky ones that went several days without power, Crystal jumped in with extra visits, no problem. GUYS...She even cleaned out my fridge and freezer of spoiled food! YOU READ THAT RIGHT! Voluntarily, she got rid of perishables that were going to be a problem. Good thing, I didn't get power back for another 5 days! What a mess I would've had. She also improvised extra water for the cats through the outage and made everything work for the well being of everyone (physical for cats and mentally for me!). I am lucky to have found Crystal when I moved to Houston 4 years ago, would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!

We have had various animals that they have watched through out the years but most recently we have a 7 year old German Shepherd and a 7 month old Lab plus a kitten and two cats. Our sitter has been Hailey. In the beginning, everything was great! We would leave on a 10 day road trip and Hailey would come 4 times a day to take of the animals and we would get updates on the animals plus pictures. After some time, we started getting complaints about our dog Leo, the German Shepherd. That he was jumping on Hailey and causing scratches on her back. After that trip, I asked the owner, Crystal, if they could can still handle Leo and the verified "yes" that he was no problem. As time went on, we got Oso, a lab puppy. We just left on another 10 day road trip and received nothing but complaints and nagging about Oso almost every time Hailey went to our home. She complained so much about him, my husband and I stop replying to her messages. She accused my Oso of nipping and bitting her, which he has never done with me or my kids. I have video footage of her yelling at him and being aggressive towards him because once again, I have a 7 month puppy that will jump on her. Which 7 month old puppies will do! Hailey literally complained about almost everything about Oso. Aren't you a dog sitter? You are supposed to love animals but we definitely do not feel the love for our animals at all during this trip. Hailey is not qualified or has the the patience to deal with puppies or big dogs. 7 days into our trip, we are literally thousands of miles away and Crystal, the owner, calls us to say they no longer can take care of Oso and we need to come home! Or find another arrangement of care for him while we are still on the other side of the country! Are you kidding me?!? Thankfully, we found a lovely young man that was able to do it and he has been wonderful and says Oso is a wonderful puppy and has no issues with him! WOW! What a difference! Thankfully, since our family trip was intentionally ruined with Hailey and her complaints, we finally got to relax our last two days with the help with our new dog sitter, Junior! Honestly, we were not going to book with Crystal's Cozy Pets this trip, but wanted to give them another try. Boy, I should have listened to my gut. When you on vacation, you should be confident that you leave your pets in the hands of someone that will love and take care of them like you would and in all honesty, I don't feel like CCP's can do that.

Jose has the professional certifications and incredible career experiences working with dogs that make his skill level profound. My service dog died, and I had a major surgery which left me in serious need of my next service dog. I bought a 14 month old dog, kennel raised with a great disposition but no prior training of any sort. She was full of life and such wild behavior she was unsafe to transport. I was referred to Semper Amici by the breeder. Using only kindness, positive rewards and intensive training, Semper Amici had my dog calmly helping me all day: gliding through lobbies, taking elevators, going shopping, waiting for appointments, sitting quietly through meetings and live theater, navigating crowds etc. All this in 4weeks! If I had not experienced this training miracle myself, I would not have believed it possible. My dog adored her trainers and bloomed into a delightful service dog in an unbelievably short time. Of course I continue to reinforce the training - as we owners know we must. Jose was (and still is) responsive to my texts or calls. He is so honest, true to his word and always professional. I have had dogs for over 35 years, had trainers and self trained - but I have never experienced such intelligent, informed and effective trainers as the Semper Amici team. We have used this facility a couple of times. Twice for our cat, and once for our dog. The…read morecages/kennels are always clean. Our cat enjoys the climbing tree and sunny window in the cat area. While the dog (who is a large, outside-only animal) had no problem with the outdoor kennel she was kept in. When we called to let her know we were coming to pick up our animals, she was kind enough to inform us of a couple of things that we needed to be aware of... For one thing, our dog, of all times, went in heat. Also, since our dog is used to sleeping on dirt or grass, she was favoring her left hip (probably because she was sleeping on the concrete.) We got her home, and, after a few minutes, she was running around like normal. That was our fault for not remembering to bring her doggie pillow to sleep on. It was also our choice to provide cat and dog food for our pets. We wanted to make their transition/stay as easy as possible. There was no problem with us doing this, and they were fed as we directed. We will certainly use this facility if we ever have to board our pets again!
