Occasionally they have hog snapper or another fresh catch available. The fried lobster tail was fantastically seasoned with a little kick, and I've never had it prepared this way, chopped up into bite-sized pieces. Very filling and we could have shared one, but we still managed to devour both tails and left very full and satisfied. Each tail, including one side, was about $40 - but market price items vary based on size and weight of what's available that day. There are also plenty of less expensive options on the menu. One of my favorites is the yellowtail sandwich. And if you get there before 7:00pm you can order some oysters and lobster croquettes from the happy hour menu. Captain Jim's is a casual and comfortable restaurant with marine decor where the food is the star. Service is always friendly, helpful, and attentive.

Once seated, we were happy to have a quieter outdoor table with a view of the slide since the inside was extremely loud and busy. Cue hungry people making questionable food decisions. We started with the chicken wings as an appetizer while desperately waiting to place our dinner order. Our server seemed very overwhelmed by the Saturday night rush, and another staff member actually brought over our appetizer before we were finally able to place our order. I ordered the cheeseburger with truffle fries, and my daughter ordered her usual favorite, chicken fingers. Unfortunately, after nearly 30 minutes, our server returned with the check before we had even received our food. Once we explained, he was very apologetic and assured us the order would be right out. Thankfully, my burger was absolutely worth the wait. It was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time: juicy, flavorful, and more than filling enough on its own. Honestly, the truffle fries were unnecessary because the burger completely stole the show. I only managed to eat half. My daughter thought her meal was just okay.
