I stopped by World of Beer recently and had a really good experience. The vibe in there was great--laid back, good energy, and just a nice spot to hang out and grab some food and drinks. The ambiance was really solid and the service was great. Our server was friendly and gave some good recommendations. For food, I ordered the birria quesadilla and the Voodoo Cajun pasta with chicken and shrimp. Both were really good, but the Voodoo Cajun pasta was definitely my favorite. It had a nice Cajun kick and the chicken and shrimp combo worked perfectly together. Super flavorful and honestly one of the better pasta dishes I've had at a place like this. The birria quesadilla was also really good crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. I also tried two beers that were recommended, including an IPA, and both were great choices. If you're into beer, they obviously have a huge selection so it's a good place to try something new. Overall, great food, great drinks, great service, and a really good atmosphere. The girls working the floor were friendly and doing their best, but the problems here go way beyond them. This feels like a corporate issue, not a staff issue. The food was cooked in seed oils, which already kills the quality and flavor. You can taste the heaviness and the cheapness. For a place that markets itself as a craft‑beer spot with elevated bar food, that's unacceptable. Then the check came and that's where it got worse. Corporate is nickel and diming customers with extra charges, little add‑ons that don't go to the servers and don't improve the experience. It feels sneaky, and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth before you even walk out. The staff is paying the price for decisions they didn't make. They're trying to be nice, but the system they're working under is broken. Overall: Good people, terrible corporate practices, low quality cooking oils, and a bill padded with nonsense. WOB is a great spot for after work happy hours. Their menus constantly change with new happy hour specials on food and beer. Given the name, they do have a large variety of beer to choose from. Taste before purchase is allowed! The food is that of the usual tavern/sports bar quality. The wait staff here are mostly teenagers so service does tend to be a bit spotty. WOB is located in the Miramar Plaza so parking is shared with other businesses and can get challenging during rush hour. Overall a good weekday grab a quick drink spot. read more

Made a large reservation a week in advance, showed up 5 minutes EARLY, and they gave away the table. Could've at least called whenever that had happened. Leaving us to scramble on a night everywhere was booked. Wish I had seen the recent reviews about poor service. Since the Key West WOB closed a few years ago, this World of Beer is the furthest southern location in Florida. The Miramar Park Place parking lot is shared by other restaurants and retail establishments although had adequate spaces available. An overwhelming feeling of warmth is provided by the heavy wood decor. It was happy hour and we took a seat at the bar with a close up visual of a line of wall beer taps including a cooler of bottled and canned craft beer. WOB does not brew their own beer but offers craft beer from local and big brand brewers. The bartender, Emily, was a ray of light, and made our one hour visit entertaining. Ordered a Barrel of Monks Single in Havana Belgian Blonde which had a low alcohol content of 4.5% but was cold and refreshing. She served us a cup of chili containing black angus beef and chorizo steak, which was excellent and had a nice mild spicy kick. Took a sampler of the 3Sons Peanut Butter & Jelly Sour which was superb and will order on my next visit here. There were half wooden beer barrels on the wall surrounding the entrance to the gender assigned bathrooms. The men's bathroom had a gold flaked granite sink counter with gray slate type flooring. At first the service was really slow. The waitress barely came to check on our table and would check the tables near us. There were maybe 6 people when we went during $5 all day burger Monday. I'm not sure why the service was slow, but once our food came out the service became better. We got the flat bread from the happy hour menu. I wasn't a fan of it, but the burger was really good. It was well cooked like how I ordered. It was missing the onions and tomatoes I ordered but once I let the waitress know, the cook came out and gave me the missing items. He was so nice and apologized for the mistake. It's a pretty decent happy hour menu with food options and lots of alcohol to choose from. The bar area is huge, lots of seating inside and out. Did not know this World of Beer was in this Miramar plaza and told my hubby to park and go inside. We were greeted by Emily who seemed like she was waiting for us to come talk with her at the bar. She gave us a craft tap hazy beer and a cup of chili loaded with high grade beef. The chili was filling and liked that it came with side cars of cheese, onions, sour cream and chives. The food is average and not consistent. The service is the main issue. They have maybe two servers to cover the floor and either those servers need to visit the tables more or they need another server. There were times when I would have ordered another drink, but there was no one in sight for 20-30 min. It's even a process to find someone to get the check. With better training, more staff to they could possibly get more repeat customers. In close proximity to a Flanagans which may also be an issue. The Manager did respond, but if you look at older reviews, the bad service is a pattern. If you provide adequate training and the staff is not following thru, then it's time for other options. read more

This is my second time here at World of Beer! They have a good variety of drinks and foods. My co-workers and I went after work for their happy hour which is from 4-7pm Monday through Friday. The service was a bit slow and they had a few drinks out of stock at the bar. There weren't that many tables occupied at the time. What a great ambiance and a fun spot this is! So they have a Facebook page where they announce the events they keep doing... and there I found a May the fourth event for today only! They even came up with a very cute menu for it, and all the tv screens were playing the Star Wars movie... and the background music was ... you guessed it: themed Star Wars !! Well that's just today so we did order a drink from their fun Star Wars menu and my drink had sparkles! My husband and I used to love this location and became regulars at some point the whole staff changed and it seems the floor service is lacking training. A quick lunch turns into an hour or more. I witnessed several guests physically walk up to a server with their card because they have to go and it's not like the place was busy. I also wanna add that there was a DJ for a brunch on Sunday, which is totally fine, but the speakers were pointed out toward the main area and it was extremely loud to the point where it was piercing and physically painful. The is the first restaurant that I have gone to that cooked my wings the way that I like them, the FIRST time around. I like my chicken wings well done. I do not like soggy skin. I need everything crispy and the kitchen staff did not disappoint! This is one of the newer locations of WoB and marks the first time I've been to a WoB in years (previously there other privately-run WoB in SoFla, these are much better run, with way more selection, and a solid kitchen). Staff is mentally regressed. I placed a pick up order on the website and got a call shortly after saying the beer I ordered was out of stock and that on their end they could not change it and I had to go on the website and change it myself. I went on the website where my order was and there was unfortunately no way to change it so I called back and they said oh when you come back just place an order and everything will be alright we got you. So we arrived at the time of our pick up order and went to the bar and basically we ended up going back and forth with the bartender and the manager at the time because they were trying to charge us again to change our beer. The bartender told me there was nothing I can do and to go on the website and call the number to cancel or change the beer. So I went on the website and called the number and lowand behold, guess who picked up. The staff at the restaurant were at this point I was sitting at the bar waiting for my pick up order. I explained my dilemma all over again and then did they come back to me at the bar and try to resolute. They did not want to help us with the issue and kept going away whenever it got to the matter of trying to figure out what to do next. The manager eventually ended up calling their boss and their boss just said to change out the beer. and then the bartender some rude ugly white lady was saying the beer was not the same price and over all just stalling my wife and I from getting food. very dumb people running that place. Classic sports bar vibes and it wasn't too rowdy, but definitely a good time if you were watching the game. We ordered the beer battered fish and chips and the brisket burger. The burger was pretty hefty but really delicious, and got it with a side of house made chips. The chips were delicious and highly recommend as a side! Atmosphere was dead, server was rude and as far as the tasting, we thought we were going to taste a 1.25 oz of the bourbon and have some information about it and possibly buy a bottle. Nope!
