The dining area was nice. The meat was chopped rather than shredded which is what were used to. The meat wasn't very smoky. The sauces were different than we are used to. They had mild sweet and hot. My wife and I both got the pulled pork with mild sauce with beans and potato salad. Pork is very tasty although my wife's first bite had a hair in it. Beans and rice are good, but the potato salad isn't all that special (reminds me of store bought). All in all it was very good and I'll definitely come back to try their other items. read more

Called ahead to see if they were doing dine in or not and the girl on the phone was very short. Then when we got there we were very bleakly greeted by all three of the girls standing at the front. Brittany brought us out our food and she at least smiled and didn't seem to hate her job like the other three. Seems like they could all use some training on customer service and hospitality. Read all the reviews when trying to find somewhere to eat but didn't want to drive up to Choppers so thought I would give it a shot based on the reviews. Big let down. The place is nice and clean and friendly staff but the food was just so so. I got the 2 meat platter which had 4 bones and a small portion of pork. Was let down by the pork portion size. The pork was again so so. It was so finely chopped it was turning to mush. The ribs were tough and definitely not fall off the bone but had a good smokiness but no flavor. BBQ sauce again was so so almost like it was store bought. Beans were good think I had more pork in those than on my plate and coleslaw tasted store bought as well. I've eaten at a lot of BBQ places in town and out of town and I think this is the worst food ever. When I go to a restaurant I like to be waited on. NOT HERE. If I want to go to the counter to place my order then wait for my number to be called I'll go to McDonalds or Burger King. I also didn't like being served in Styrofoam containers. This is like going to a burger fast food joint and going to the counter, placing your order, get a # and wait till they call it. It is like the one in Troy. We have been to this one twice. My wife is not a big fan of bar bee que, but she thought it was okay. It seems to be a great value for the price. We will go back there and I would recommend you try it. You order at the counter and pay there. They brought ours out to us both times as opposed to the one in Troy that calls your name and you go up to the counter and pick it up. It was very clean and the parking was good. We got a lot of food for our money. The regular pork plate had enough food for me and my two boys. The meat was good and tender but lacked a bit of flavor. The bbq sauce was ok but typical for this area. I wish they had another sauce or two to choose from. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. We will definitely come back many more times. Tried this when visiting friends who just moved to Enterprise. We chose Hooks based on the Yelp 4 star reviews. We were disappointed. The ribs were tender, as was the pulled pork, but neither had much flavor. The expected taste of smoke was barely apparent and any seasoning, like a dry rub or marinade, left no trace. The selection of sides is limited, but that's not unusual for a bar-b-que joint, and their inclusion of a piece of pound cake with every plate was nice. When you walk into a bar-b-que joint you expect to smell the smoke, that's not the case here. Hooks may get it together, but they have a lot of room for improvement. read more

The smell outside walking in is the best part. Building appeared clean and well kept. The staff was cleaning off tables as we walked in, appeared to maintain this throughout my lunch. Overall quite clean. The girl who took my order was not friendly nor helpful. I don't know if she was new or didn't care, but either way not a very good representative for the front and first person we see and speak to. Anyways, they did not have sliced pork only shredded according to cashier so I ordered the shredded pork, sauce on side. I tried each of the BBQ sauces. All of them tasted like a ketchup based bbq. The hot was ok, but not really spicy. I like spice so maybe it's ok for other people. The plate was brought to the table per number I was given. Food was dropped off fairly quickly. The girl who brought food was helpful and friendly. The plate came with pound cake, two slices of white bread my pork and two sides. The bread really has me disappointed. It was plain un toasted white bread. I really think they could have upped the bread by putting it on the flat top with some butter. Needless to say neither of us ate our bread. The pork was ok. The French fries were good and the baked beans needed some more flavor. I brought the cake home and my husband liked it. I think for a $13 lunch it was a bit disappointing, maybe charge less and not do the cake and additional side? And put the bread on the flat top! The bathrooms were fairly clean, one tight sink and low toilets. Not very friendly for the elderly or women with children. Plenty of paper towels and soap though so that's a plus. They did have a large hand sanitizer that was 1/2 full by the register, that was a perk.
