Mood: Adult only funnnnnn! I've always driven by this place and finally stopped on a Sunday! Best day ever. They have $30 deal with 80 tokens, 6 beers, and a fanny pack to keep. BEST DEAL EVER. The game choices are so nostalgic and blast from the past. We definitely like the fact you can use the tokens anytime and keep the fanny pack. The six beer deal was clutch too so includes seltzers and non alcoholic drinks. If you not a fan of the night life then go mid day Sundays where the music is on, games on tv, and no long waits for games.

Up-Down is a fun arcade bar in an excellent location for hopping around in East Nashville. Two levels, each with a bar, a nice rooftop patio that overlooks the Nashville skyline, and pizza by the slice, it's a fun place to kill some time or give in to some nostalgia and play old video games. They also host special events/holiday events.

The girl at the bar was not having a good day when we were there. She didn't even attempt to talk to us, just stared at us while we tried to figure out how the 10 cent token day worked. We hadn't ever been there before - we didn't know. Anyway, they have a lot of games to choose from and the 10 cent token night made it easy to play pretty much anything we wanted. It quickly got too warm inside even at night though with how hot and humid the day was and the amount of people inside. We had to leave early because of that. I'd come again now that I understand how it all works and will make sure to come on a cooler night.

We love going to up down. Unfortunately I always forget to bring my tokens and then I buy more. Needless to say, I have a million tokens to use. The first time I had their pizza I loved it. This time was not as good. Im not sure if it was undercooked or if it had jsut been sitting out for a while. The buffalo chicken one was better than the Mac n cheese one (which is usually my favorite). Regardless, We still love up down. Perfect balance of "party" and chill. amazing rooftop with great views of downtown.

Chill spot for a lowkey date night or for a group of friends. There are classic games like pac man, skee ball, etc. and many others! There is large Kenya and connect four on the rooftop, two bars and you're able to order pizza! Parking is a bit limited nearby but there is a paid lot and street parking. If you're looking for something different to show people when visiting Nashville this would be a good place to start!

One of my favorite little gems in Nashville. Perfect location for pregaming with some brews and pizza before attending a concert down the street. Especially on a Friday when you get $2 pizza slices until 8pm. The bar staff is truly amazing with each visit. The pizza is some of the best you'll find in town. The indoor space is jam packed with the right balance of games spread throughout. The outdoor deck with the picnic tables offers a respite from the indoor noise. Even though it also doubles as a smoking area. Since it runs parallel to the street sidewalk it adds to the people watching vibe.

The best $2 slice of pizza after a great concert at Basement East!! Service was prompt and they were all super friendly. The pizza was fresh and full of so much flavor. The atmosphere was really chill and if you're a gamer this is a spot for you.

One of my favorite spots in East ! Their bar menu is HUGE, the pizza is great and there's tons of games. Check their website for their happy hour schedule. They have a lot of times where you can get 2 for 1 tokens for games which is a great deal. Also, don't forget to check out the second floor for more chill vibes and photo ops.

This is easily my favorite place that I've ever played arcade games at! Not only do they have an amazing selection of some of my favorite games, but it's so cheap to play, usually 1 quarter per game. Plus they have good drinks, and really good pizza. We visited from out of town, and next time I visit Nashville we are definitely coming here again. I was here for one week and had so much fun that I ended up coming here twice!

    Is this kid friendly?

We went on a Wednesday night, and when arriving at 5pm they ID us at the door. So it might not be.

If I bring my dog do I have to keep him outside on the patio or can he come inside so I can play arcade games? He is very small and great at DDR.

This time, we switched things up and hit it for lunch instead. Good call. We grabbed seats at the bar, where Todd was holding down the fort. The guy was outstanding. Drinks never sat empty, food came out smoothly, and he somehow managed to be attentive without hovering over us every five minutes asking if everything was okay. My wife started with the Nashville Margue, which goes down way too easy for something packing moonshine. Light, refreshing, and carrying enough kick to remind you you're in Tennessee. Then Todd introduced us to a Bloody Mary made with a new pickle-infused vodka. Now, that sounds like one of those ideas that should either be amazing or a complete disaster. Turns out it's amazing. My wife loved it so much she's already talking about coming back tomorrow for another one. For food, we started with the pretzels and beer cheese. Simple. Warm. Soft. Salty. Exactly what you want while settling into a Nashville afternoon. Nothing fancy, just done right. Then I went all in on the mac and cheese topped with Nashville hot chicken. Yee Haw. Creamy mac and cheese. Crispy chicken. That signature Nashville heat. Comfort food with a little attitude. Just the way it should be. The best thing about The Stillery is that it knows exactly what it is. Good food. Good drinks. Good people. No gimmicks. No trying too hard. Just a fun place to sit down, relax, and enjoy yourself. Fifteen trips to Nashville (together) and it's still one of our first stops. That's probably the strongest review I can give. Five stars.

It's located downtown, but feels like a hidden gem all on its own. When you walk in, you're greeted by a beautiful dining space with photos lining the walls, and the outdoor seating is just as beautiful. We sat outside with the heaters on, and it felt cozy and intimate. We started the night with the Meatballs and the Whipped Ricotta with chili honey...I'm still thinking about them. Both were incredible. We also ordered Espresso Martinis, which were good, although definitely on the stronger, coffee-forward side. If you like spinach, you MUST try the Rotolo Alla Vodka. I've never had anything like it-- the sauce was unreal. We also shared the Ophelia's Lasagna, which was almost just as good... almost. For dessert, we split the Tiramisu, and it did not disappoint. We were told to stand in the back. After a few minutes it was evident we were "in the way." What appeared to be a manager asked us if we were on the list. I had not been asked for any information about a list. So.... we stood around for about fifteen minutes before we were even put on the list. What was supposed to be a ten minute wait turned into a twenty five minute wait. We went straight for the classic pepperoni and sausage. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside with a nice chew inside, and the pepperoni had that slightly spicy, savory kick that makes it hard to stop at just one slice. The sausage was finely ground and flavorful. The sauce leaned a little on the sweeter side, which balanced well with the salty toppings. I also had a Greek salad with prosciutto. It was very tasty. The atmosphere was lively and nearly uncomfortable due to the noise. Fredrick kept things moving quickly even with a busy crowd. He was awesome. Prices felt fair for the quality, and the portions were generous. Overall, a solid spot for pizza in Nashville--especially if you're craving a straightforward pepperoni pie done right. Not quite a five‑star "wow" moment, and whoever works the front desk should be trained better, but definitely worth coming back for another round.
