Sorry I didn't pay much attention but im guessing a coffee shop is also located there because people were just sitting around. Anyhow it was our first time visiting this Aloha Exchange location and it was quite nice. It's a great spot to stop by if you're coming back from visiting the Kilauea lighthouse, pick up some nice clothing items for friends or relatives (local brand so its even more special) as gifts. Pricing is very competitive with our surf clothing shops but the quality of their shirts and shorts are much better and much softer than others. I'm not a booshee type person but other shops just can't compare to the quality of Aloha Exchange. The employees are all friendly and helpful and for some odd reason, the employee are all good looking lol (in both locations) model type. They must be Kauai made as well. Overall this Aloha Exchange location was very nice. It seems they have slightly different items from their Kalaeho location so it's worth the visit.

Solid spot to visit and support a local retailer and the Aloha Exchange brand.

The space is packed with gift items, including a whole room of clothing from hoodies to t-shirts and swimming attire. Magnets, carved wood figurines, jewelry and other items are in the first room. Wide variety of items to choose from, so if you haven't find just the right thing to take home to someone, you'll probably find it here. Wow! They have a price point for everyone. Many places have poor quality at lower price points…read more Not here. I found something for me (68) down to my 8-yo grandson and 4 adult daughters. I found more contemporary pieces and could have spent more time seeing the large collections which incorporate Hawaiian art. We had just been to the Lihue Native Museum the day before. Go here just to see the Niihau crafted necklaces. Amazing. They have one of the best museum quality necklace collections for sale by some of the few remaining living artists. The rare and highly valued shells (kahelelani, laiki, momi, and kamoa), are found on the beaches of Ni'ihau and crafted by the island's residents into various styles of lei, earrings, and bracelets, equaling one of Polynesia's most precious art forms. There truly is something for everyone and they are finally back open after the 22/24 flood. What a great restoration! I did not take pictures because it seemed disrespectful. However, there is a flock of the prettiest chickens you find on the island and this business has recovered from one of the worst floods last year with 57" of rain in 24" hours. The remodeled shop and grounds are amazing to see. Gabrielle can fill you in on the over 45 year history of this amazing establishment. Have fun! Go here before you buy elsewhere.

I picked up a dreamy maxi dress tie-dyed the colors of seaglass. The shopkeep is friendly and has a good eye for fashion. I really wanted to try on the anklet as it came in three colors, but I was never approached if I needed any help. I circled several times and entered the store two separate occasions while I was trying to decide if it was worth it. Nice shop to browse and if you're in need of a gift though.
