So nice to come in from blazing FL sun into a moonlit evening Biergarten courtyard. In addition to a huge German buffer, they provide live musical entertainment. They've changed their offerings a little bit since Christmas. I really iked the Barley Mushroom salad (even with the red peppers). They have glazed carrots now and they could be great. I've been wanting to take my family here for a while and with the AP discounts, it was perfect timing. This gem at Epcot is so charming and really transports you to Germany through the interactive dinner show. Tucked in the back of the pavilion, we checked in and got seated immediately right by the stage. The three tiers of seating with a few steps means everyone gets a great spot to see the musicians. We had about a half hour before they started so we ordered some authentic German biers and went to scope out the buffet. All our soft drinks were included in the buffet but we wanted their wheat beer too. I will preface that if you like German food, this is great. If you don't, you might not appreciate the dishes as much but our family is German-American and grew up with some of these dishes so it was fun. All of the salads were a hit, especially the beets, seasonal Strawberry salad, and pasta salad. The beer cheese soup and pretzel bread is incredible! So creamy and rich, a great starter. We also loved the meatballs, pork schnitzel with wine sauce, and bratwursts. The salmon was a little dry but the dill flavor was really great. The freshly cut green apples with creamy caramel were so yummy to finish the meal, along with the apple pastry topped with vanilla sauce. The other desserts were just ok. Overall the cute theming inside (designed to look like a biergarten at night) and music are a great bonus to the hearty German dishes that really hit the spot. We will definitely recommend to friends who want a fun dining experience. Shoutout to our amazing waitress Presca who was so attentive and kind. We went to Biergarten restaurant at Epcot at 5 pm Saturday. It's not very busy. However you need to make a reservation ahead of time to ensure your seats. It's a buffet style restaurant which includes very extensive menu. The price is $49.99 per person including unlimited food and soft drinks. In my opinion the food is surprisingly good given it's a "buffet" restaurant. Their service staff is really professional and nice. There's also a traditional German band playing at specific times periodically so the atmosphere is very happy and welcoming. We definitely enjoyed it and would love to go back when we visit Epcot and want to enjoy some good German food and music. read more

First, to be honest, I do not like German food. Too heavy, too much pork, and lots of fried stuff. This was the only place available with our Epcot concert series package, so we took it. need to resemble an old-time hearing village, it is pretty inside. Live entertainment includes music/accordion, and lots of polka dancing. Our server who is finally, attentive, and as per standard, from Germany. The good I had was eh--- and I avoided most of the offerings--but I did enjoy my small birthday cupcake that she brought out as well as a birthday certificate! As everyone will attest to, the music and performance are absolutely fantastic. The restaurant is comfortable for kids and adults alike, and as a party of 6 we had an entire table to ourselves, avoiding the possible awkwardness of sharing a table. Our server was friendly, the buffet was always stocked! The savory food was all good, nothing spectacular but I don't know if I've ever had spectacular German food. The only detractor was the dessert, I was hoping for a delicious crispy strudel, and was greeted with one that was decent but not at all crispy. My first time ever dining at the Biergarten at EPCOT. I wanted to try this place out since I've never been to an AYCE German buffet. (I've only heard of Asian buffets and American buffets but never German) The ambiance and service was fantastic since it's Disney and everything has to match the theme and environment. I always have such a fun time at the Biergarten! My absolute favorite item on the buffet is the bacon cheese soup. It's nearly identical if not the exact recipe from the Food & Wine festival offering. The roast is my next favorite with the house salad. The food is always the right temperature and the beers are delicious. Every staff member we encounter is always kind and helpful. The entertainment is so fun and I like that we see usually two different acts while there. We are only two people when we go, so we may not be there as long as larger parties. For $50 AYCE you can't beat it for WDW. Go in HUNGRY and take advantage of it! Overall the food items were okay to good+ and I have no complaints. The Schnitzel was probably my favorite, but the sausages / brats came in a close second. The Biergarten Restaurant in EPCOT's Germany pavilion is the closest thing you'll get to Oktoberfest without hopping on a Lufthansa flight. And yes -- you really do have to try it once. After that? Well, once may be enough. Step inside and you're instantly in a Bavarian village square under a painted nighttime sky. Long communal tables stretch across the room, so get ready to sit elbow-to-elbow with strangers (who, after a couple of liters of beer, will suddenly become your "new best friends"). The show: this is where the fun lives. Several times a night, the oompah band takes the stage -- accordion, horns, drums, cowbells, even giant alpine horns that look like they were borrowed from Ricola commercials. Guests clap, sing along, and sometimes even dance. Kids twirl in circles, adults cheer with giant steins in hand, and for a moment you forget you're in Florida. It's festive, loud, and delightfully cheesy. The buffet menu is hearty German comfort food turned up to eleven: Starters & sides: potato salad, cold cuts, pretzel rolls, sauerkraut, and cucumber salad. Mains: bratwurst, knockwurst, roasted chicken, pork schnitzel, roast beef, salmon, and meatballs with creamy mushroom gravy. There's also spaetzle (Germany's take on noodles) and roasted potatoes to fill any remaining space on your plate. Desserts: apple strudel, black forest cake, Bavarian cheesecake, and yes, more strudel. Everything is hearty, heavy, and will leave you questioning whether EPCOT should provide complimentary lederhosen for digestion. It's good, some of it very good, but definitely not light -- so plan to walk it off around World Showcase after. The beer comes in massive steins that could double as weights at the gym. Pilsners, hefeweizens, dark lagers -- all perfect for toasting along with the band. Service is cheerful and efficient, but this isn't fine dining -- it's a buffet with oomph (literally). The real value is in the experience: the music, the atmosphere, and the "I can't believe I just ate three sausages before dessert" energy of it all. Biergarten is an EPCOT must-do at least once. Come for the music, the steins, and the schnitzel. Laugh, clap, dance, and eat too much strudel. Then check it off the list, because once you've done it, you'll know that Oktoberfest in Florida is best enjoyed as a one-time party. We had never been here before as I had passed it on as another cheap Disney food spot. Well I was wrong. The entire dinner and experience was great. I loved having a buffet with so many options. I would recommend trying a little of everything. I think the only thing that wasn't the best was the carving station turkey as it was very dry. The live music was fun and the service was great and super family friendly but the food was pretty tough. Buffets in general are not my cup of tea given that the food is just sitting out. The salad bar here felt particularly icky while the meats landed in a more edible range. I personally would not recommend this restaurant and would say you are better off getting a sausage on a stick or a turkey leg or something. read more

Recently visited Epcot and my husband and I had time to kill before one of the Garden Rocks performances they schedule during the Flower Festival. We were going to do one of the dinner packages they offer for these but they all booked before we could. Either way, we were going to eat because we were starving! We managed to grab a reservation and made our way to the Germany Pavilion. Checking in was a bit tedious- long process and the check in cast member was getting distracted with other things occurring. However, we got in and were seated at a table pretty close to the stage! We placed our drink orders for a couple of 20 oz of beers, though if you wanted you can opt for 40 oz pour/liter! The food selection was pretty vast compared to some other buffets. They had latkes, pork schnitzel, pretzel bread rolls, pretzel dumplings?!, chicken, pot roast, salad, cheese, chicken tenders, veggies, etc! A long list and not even including the nice treats they offer for dessert. It was a fun atmosphere to be in as we got to enjoy plenty of food, beer and the entertainment from the talented performers! read more

They offer a buffet which offers authentic German food and some American food for the kids. My favorite was the red cabbage. The mac and cheese had a taste of cinnamon in it, which surprised me. The German food buffet (only option, no a La carte ordering) itself gets an average 3 stars, but what bumps it up to a 4 is the ambiance and the fun, live German band playing about every hour! The band's set is maybe 30 min and varies. When we were seated, we heard some crowd pleasing music with horns and cowbells and German drinking song tunes. By the time we had our entrees and desserts (I'm glad I didn't let my husband rush us out, like excuse me, why are you asking if we're ready for dessert when you still see me chewing my dinner?), the band came back on stage, and we got to see the xylophones, and the band engaged the crowd (little ones included) onto the dance floor. My daughters had a blast doing the chicken dance with the other diners. One of our favorite, impromptu moments of the trip! As far as the buffet goes, it had more variety than I was expecting: sausage, schnitzel, roasted chicken, potato pancakes with apple sauce and sour cream, green beans, meatballs, pretzel buns, soup, sauerkraut, and a carving station with pork. My kids had plenty to choose from, but there's also a kid section with chicken tenders, peas and carrots, and mac and cheese. There were about 6 dessert options, mini versions of chocolate pudding and cheesecake, pineapple, and apple strudel. $225 after tax and tip for 2 adults and 2 kids. If memory serves correctly, it's about $60 per adult and $30 per kid, and that includes milk and soft drinks. read more

My family and I ended up having a reservation for Biergarten Restaurant on a Sunday around 1:30 in June. We had booked the reservation through the Disney World website a month in advance. Biergarten is located in the World Showcase at Epcot in Germany. I was hungry around 12:00 and ended up going earlier than our initial reservation. We missed the show that typically plays inside the Biergarten Restaurant! You'll want to dine when it's during the show time. There is a German band that plays during specific times throughout the day in the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend booking a reservation here unless the band is playing. The restaurant has long tables, and you may be seated with other families visiting Walt Disney World. The team member providing service to our table was awesome! She followed up with us several times, refilling our drinks and asking if we needed anything. The food was just okay. A lot of the food in the warming stations was cold. Perhaps it was because our family ate as soon as the restaurant opened, and the food had been sitting around for a while, but we were disappointed in the experience at Biergarten Restaurant. The Pretzel bread tasted stale and wasn't seasoned. We lucked out with a last-minute reservation (we were flying by the seat of our pants) right before a storm settled in as we were heading out of the park. It is buffett style so come in hungry and ready to fill up on some hearty good -- not much light fare here. The live band is a really cool touch, service was great, and food was really good. (Mileage may vary here, my kids hated pretty much everything - but they're impossible to please. That said this may not be the most kid-friendly option as the American kid go-to options are limited here.) I felt like I was stepping into my childhood, having spent many vacations in Germany where my mother is from this restaurant is decorated like a South German/Bavarian town center. The CM being from different parts of Germany only add to the authentic feel. Biergarten is a buffet that features traditional dishes including salads, hot foods and wonderful desserts as well as an American section with foods that appeal to the younger crowd. At $49.99 a person come with an empty stomach because you will want to try everything. I especially loved the Veal pot roast,house salad and the beer cheese soup & pretzel roll. The brats were authentic only thing missing for me was a sharp mustard (they did have sweet and German mustards as well as ketchup). Other highlights for me were the cucumber salad, bean & pea salad, traditional frikadelle and sauerkraut. Beverages are served in heavy glass "beer keg" mugs perfect for clinking while doing cheers! Now the desserts! There was a wonderful apple strudel with warm vanilla sauce, a salted caramel dessert, mini chocolate cupcake, Black Forest truffle, blueberry strudel, chocolate chip cookies. Most are bite size so having a few different kinds is easy! This may have been the first time that I got filled up in the salad section of a buffet! Everything tasted great and reminded me of the foods I ate growing up. Every hour there is a fun interactive Polka band show be sure to make reservations closer to the 3/4 hour so you don't miss this show. The restaurant feels like you're outside in a Biergarten in Germany. You share a table with another family which at first feels weird but it's really fun. My husband and I visited Epcot towards the end of January 2024 but it was more crowds than we expected! We secured the virtual queue for "Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind" around 3PM, so we were kinda content and thought we probably could have more rides later. However, by 7PM, most of the major rides still had wait times ranging from 75 to 105 minutes--something I haven't seen in the past three years! Thankfully, we had dinner reservation around 7pm at the Biergarten Restaurant and that was a lifesaver. Several families tried to walk in but with no luck, restaurant was fully booked. Biergarten restaurant is nestled deep within the Germany Pavilion at Epcot. The entrance is on the left, while the quick-service restaurant that only accepts mobile orders is on the right. The atmosphere here is spot on, both inside and out. There's even a clock on the exterior that has figures emerge to chime on the hour, adding a nice touch. Inside, the servers dressed in traditional German attire--dirndls and lederhosen--fully embracing the theme. Same price for lunch and dinner. For adults, the buffet is priced at $49, and for children aged 3-9, it's $27. The buffet wasn't the largest in terms of variety but enough for us. Non-alcoholic drinks were included. The sausages and liver pâté were made from pork. My personal favorite was the salmon--it was very tender. The roasted chicken had a unique seasoning that was quite tasty as well, and the small chocolate cakes were a nice treat. The Cheese and Beer Soup (Käse und Biersuppe) was interesting, but a bit salty for my taste. Overall, the food was decent. One of the highlights was the German band performances at 1:15 PM, 2:15 PM, 3:15 PM, 4:30 PM, 5:40 PM, 6:50 PM, and 8:00 PM. You can enjoy the live music and traditional instruments show up close while you eat, and kids can join in on the dance floor--a nice bonus to the dining experience. After dinner, we took a stroll to digest and caught the new nighttime show, "Luminous: The Symphony of Us," at 9 PM. While I found it less impressive than Disney California Adventure's "World of Color-One," it was still a nice way to end the evening though.
