We'd heard great things about Rosie's, so we were excited to finally give it a try. Unfortunately, our experience just didn't live up to the hype. Our food came out less than five minutes after ordering, which in a packed restaurant immediately made us wonder how fresh it really was. After tasting it, it was pretty clear much of it had been prepared well beforehand. I even asked for my potatoes to be crispy, and the response was simply, "We can't do that," which was surprising for such a popular breakfast spot. On top of that, almost everything lacked seasoning and fell pretty flat flavor wise. We barely touched our meals and didn't even want to take the leftovers home, which is rare for us. To be fair, this is just our personal experience, and it's obvious a lot of people genuinely enjoy Rosie's. We're not trying to be overly critical over one visit. But based on the meal and service we received, it's not a place we'd personally recommend.

I don't have a traditional office, so I'm always looking for remote places to work. I love a change of scenery and environment. Over the past year or two, I've slowly faded out my visits to a certain popular coffee establishment with a name shared by a character on Battlestar Galactica. So, when a friend told me about The Haverstick, I needed to check it out! I'm so glad I did. It has become my go-to office of choice! Housed in a community center of a local church, the environment has dim lighting and soft music. A perfect place to get focused and stay focused. They have a coffee bar that also offers a few food options. The coffee is good and very affordable. The staff is always friendly. There is usually only one person staffing the coffee shop, but they get to your order quickly. You just may have to wait if there is a large group, as happened to me once. But no worries. Simply have a seat and get to work, and they will call your name when your beverage and/or food is ready to pickup. The Haverstick is less a coffee shop and more a community shared-space work environment that offers coffee. They have a lot of comfortable chairs and tables of various sizes. The room is wide open and you never feel crowded, even if there is a decent amount of people. However, it's usually only a handful of other people around, so it's a great place to get things done. They also have conference rooms for rent. I'm grateful this church has opened its doors to the public and offers such a wonderful and inviting atmosphere. I look forward to returning soon and getting some more work done.

I ordered the A La Crossing Benedict, side of gravy, lefse, side Norwegian potato cake, and peach ginger hot tea. I was thrilled to find the hot tea was loose leaf in a pot brought to the table. It's a lovely touch. The Benedict had perfectly crispy bacon and so much asparagus. The egg yolks were perfectly runny and the hollandaise had great flavor. I picked the house salad with champagne vinaigrette for the side and enjoyed that as well. I tried the gravy on some of the sourdough bread and it had a great flavor. The biscuits and gravy will probably be something I order next time because it was so good. When I read they season their sausage in-house I knew I had to try it even though I wanted the Benedict. The Norwegian Potato Cake was a delight! I love every take on a potato pancake or latke and this one had great flavor. The Lefse was a perfect treat to end- I had the traditional with just butter, sugar, and cinnamon. (I had leftovers of this and ate it at home with extra butter and a little syrup also.) This place is a gem and I am so glad I stumbled upon it!

Large mug, excellent froth and the coffee was rich and bold ! I ordered the half order of biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs on top. I enjoyed the food, flavor and richness of the gravy. The gravy was stocked with sausage crumbles which added the full flavor. The eggs were fried a tad harder than I desire but they were tasty and topped the meal well. The price was more expensive than I anticipated but not crazy. Ruth's is a little of a distance for me which is how I base my final rating. I liked it and will go again if I am in the area during their hours of operation. But I would not pass some equally good cafes closer to me. If you are in the keystone area I recommend you stop

Rize truly stands out for its commitment to local partnerships, sourcing fresh ingredients from nearby growers, and you can absolutely taste the difference. Everything felt fresh, thoughtful, and well-executed. The space is clean, bright, and nicely decorated. Coffee was strong and flavorful (just how I like it). The salad that came with the omelet was next-level, with a light, citrusy dressing that balanced everything perfectly. The waffles were incredibly airy, soft, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth good.... And wow, the bacon was so good we ended up ordering another side. Despite the restaurant being packed, service was friendly, efficient, and never felt rushed. Food came out quickly, and the staff kept everything running smoothly. A great spot for breakfast or brunch, definitely worth supporting a local business that also supports its community partners. This is as a healthy and tasty option, but I was secretly coveting my husband's bacon and toast. My husband had the Farm Eggs Breakfast that came with Smoking Goose sausage and thick sliced bacon. The meats were delicious and perfectly cooked. He said the side salad with palm harts was spectacular. He talked about that salad the rest of the day. The sour dough bread with fresh strawberry preserves was delicious. The breakfast comes with three eggs! The cafe is upscale with lots of seating. They do a great job of spacing people out, when they can. It really felt like a private dining experience. They have a kid's menu with great prices. Rize is a member of the Cunningham Group, so you can use your card to get points for future meals. I highly recommend- probably the best breakfast in Indy.

That could not be more true. We both did Pick Two: I got a chicken salad sandwich and my mother got a turkey and cheese both with the soup of the day which was butternut squash. Soup was OK, sandwiches were OK. I got a side of chips (not made in-house) for $3. My daughter was upset when we arrived bc she was napping in the car and she proceeded to cry for about the first 10 minutes so, I walked around with her to calm her before I sat down since it's so cramped to try not to disturb everyone else. She was not happy the entire time so we were trying to calm her and feed her. Cake slices and cheesecake are $17-20 each. They're large but other reviews say dry and taste old. That's pricey. We skipped dessert at those prices based on the quality of the rest of our meal... I got an $8 peppermint mocha which was good but, served in the smallest teacup imaginable. It's extremely small inside. Like, uncomfortable. Granted, I had a lot of items with my baby and her and we were seated at a table for two with her in my lap but it was close quarters and the waitresses were squeezing between the chairs to walk around. They have about 6 tables inside with a small event private room in back. Our waitress was kind but, the manager or owner was off-putting. She went to every single table seated except ours to ask how their meal was and experience and, when time to pay, she wanted to personally ring me up to ensure we left in a hurry. I get it, some places are not meant for babies, but, since it's billed specifically to kids, I thought this was. Nope, I was wrong. (She's 19 months - so, too young for this bougie of an establishment clearly) I would not come back at all unless it was for my, older daughter to have a birthday cake experience and get a couple cute pics. As far as instagram-worthy goes, they know what they're doing. As far as quality of food. It's like a 2.5 stars. I wish we'd waited and walked into the larger one in Carmel and just shopped and got some cookies to go!

I love a good hot sauce on eggs and hash browns, so I decided to give it a try. I stopped in on a weekday morning, and it wasn't very busy. I was seated promptly at a booth, which was clean but I noticed the beverage menu was fairly grubby with spills and smudges. Definitely needed to be replaced. I ordered a combo with eggs over medium and hash browns. The server asked if I wanted my hash browns regular or extra crispy. I ordered them regular. My food was delivered very quickly, and I was pleased to see that my eggs were perfectly over medium. Too often my over medium eggs are either overcooked or undercooked but there were perfect. The hash browns were a nice golden brown, tasty, and very good around the edges but soft in the middle. I understand why some might order them extra crispy, which I would do next time. The hot sauce was indeed delicious and the sever mentioned that it was available for sale, only $5.99. Deal! I liked my food and loved the hot sauce, which perfectly complimented both the eggs and hash browns. I would return to try some of the other menu items. I also ordered cinnamon toast.
