Rize elevates breakfast to a gourmet experience, for sure. This was our first visit, but now I'm a regular. We started with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, which tasted incredible. James, our server, was friendly, professional and attentive. He checked us is regularly. Other servers even filled our water when they walked by. I had the Miller Farms Chicken Grain Bowl, which was a hearty mix of tender chicken, radishes, spinach and grains with a pear sauce. This is as a healthy and tasty option, but I was secretly coveting my husband's bacon and toast. My husband had the Farm Eggs Breakfast that came with Smoking Goose sausage and thick sliced bacon. The meats were delicious and perfectly cooked. He said the side salad with palm harts was spectacular. He talked about that salad the rest of the day. We went to Rize for a friend's birthday and had such a nice breakfast. They surprised us with a free cinnamon roll, and it was big enough for all three of us to share! It was served warm and very fresh, with delicious cream cheese frosting. I ordered the Signature Egg Tart, and it was wonderful. It was rich and almost quiche-like, filled with lots of roasted vegetables, and the bright, acidic sauce balanced it really well. I honestly wouldn't have changed anything except maybe adding a little salt, but that may just be personal preference. I also enjoyed a cold brew while we sat out on the patio. The only downside was the construction noise from the large apartment buildings going up around the patio. That is obviously not the restaurant's fault, but it is something to be aware of if you're planning to sit outside right now. I made one so I only waited about 10 minutes until our table was ready, but I heard the hostess telling others without reservation that the wait is about 45 minutes. Once we were seated, we received attentive service from our server. I had a Mediterranean wrap with a side salad. Both were great, but it was like having two salads as the wrap had a lot of lettuce. We were here after the Carmel Farmer's Market on a Saturday at 10:30am. It was very busy, They asked if we had reservations. We didn't. We had a 20 min wait. I'd make reservations next time. Service was great. We started with a Chai tea latte, Strawberry smoothie and a peach mango unsweetened tea. The smoothie was $9. I think that's the most I've ever paid for a smoothie. It tasted very fresh. It was good. The tea is really good. I'd buy that by the gallon. My friend liked her latte. We had biscuits and gravy with one egg over easy, scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese on a croissant with a side salad and a griddled English muffin with butter and jam. Everything was very good. My husband and I stopped in here for brunch yesterday and had such a lovely time. I love any excuse to go out for brunch and I picked RIZE because my husband has been to the Ironworks location for a work meeting before and said how great their food is and decided it was time I try them out as well! Our server was incredibly friendly and checked on us often. He explained their concept to us since I had never been and gave has plenty of time to look over the menu. I love to have any combination of coffee, water, sparkling water, prosecco, mimosa, juice, etc during breakfast/brunch, so I ordered a fresh squeezed orange juice, a glass of prosecco, and a cup of coffee. They have almond milk as a creamer option, which I loved! Dairy, milk especially, really upsets my stomach and a lot of breakfast spots usually just have regular milk or half and half if they don't have the little individual creamers on the tables, so it was a nice touch. My husband also ordered a fresh squeezed orange juice and we both really enjoyed it. We decided to split one of their cinnamon rolls and OMG it is one of the best we've ever had. I would come back just for the cinnamon roll. I ordered the breakfast burrito and my husband ordered the chorizo skillet (very similar dishes) and the burrito was so big I was able to take 1/2 home and eat the rest this morning for breakfast (it reheated well!). I told my sister and friends how great our brunch was and now they all want to come in for a cinnamon roll. We're back at Rize again and not even going to a hair salon nearby! We're on our way to the airport, stopping for brunch. My stomach doesn't feel well so I ordered a poached egg and bagel. I wish I could poach an egg like they do. Very tender! The bagel is fine but the little pot of jam with it was awful, like pie filling from a can. RRR got the farmhouse waffle and loved it. Our foodie group came to Rize Carmel for brunch one Sunday, and it was the best experience. I had been to the Rize Fishers and the Rize Ironworks for brunch, so I knew what to expect menu wise. The ambiance was very classy and upscale like a brunch place should be. Our server, Celina, was on top of everything with our group. She was professional and courteous and made sure we had everything we needed for our meals. I ordered the Smoking Goose Chorizo skillet for my entree. It was fantastic! The sunny side eggs were cooked just perfect and had the right texture to it. The Chorizo sausage and potatoes were a wonderful combination. Croissants have been on my mind the past few days. I even had a dream about eating a croissant. I really wanted a croissant, but only an excellent croissant would do. Not wanting to drive to Broad Ripple for a great croissant (you know the place), or Greenwood (you know where), I found out that Rize makes great croissants. We ordered four to go, and they were exactly as flaky and chewy and buttery as I was hoping they'd be. Our to-go croissants came with little cups of butter (it tasted like sweet cream) and strawberry purée. It was the perfect breakfast, and now I have a go-to place in Carmel for croissants. Everyone has been raving about Rize and after having ordered out I am wondering why it has taken me so long to eat here. This review is after ordering for take away. This isn't always an accurate representation as new staff do occasionally go through training, but it's a pretty good starting point especially with nicer places. We arrived within 10 minutes of ordering and went inside to pay. Our food came out as soon as we were finished paying, so all in all I'd say from the start of the phone call to walking out with our food it was maybe 17-18 minutes, alotting for questions and answer time as well. As you can see this food is so fresh and colorful. It tastes even better than it looks! They pride themselves on a rotating seasonal menu focused on local ingredients. One of our favorite brunch spots gained a second location! Owned by the local Cunningham Restaurant Group, Rize opened in the Ironworks building a few years ago. This year, the Carmel location opened and offers a ton of indoor and outdoor seating in the sun. The hostess was very friendly and it was only a five minute wait on a Saturday around noon. We were sat in a cozy booth and started with a few smoothies. I then got the avocado toast and soup of the day (potato leek). The food was very fresh and delicious! The toast was super hard to eat though, with crispy bread that was really hard to cut, but also hard to pick up. The soup hit the spot, but tasted strongly of pepper.
