We're traveling the country as healthcare workers, and one of our favorite things to do while living in a new area is finding the local spots everyone loves. We'd heard great things about Rosie's, so we were excited to finally give it a try. Unfortunately, our experience just didn't live up to the hype. Our food came out less than five minutes after ordering, which in a packed restaurant immediately made us wonder how fresh it really was. After tasting it, it was pretty clear much of it had been prepared well beforehand. I even asked for my potatoes to be crispy, and the response was simply, "We can't do that," which was surprising for such a popular breakfast spot. On top of that, almost everything lacked seasoning and fell pretty flat flavor wise. We barely touched our meals and didn't even want to take the leftovers home, which is rare for us. To be fair, this is just our personal experience, and it's obvious a lot of people genuinely enjoy Rosie's. We're not trying to be overly critical over one visit. Came back to add a review for their delicious muffins! My hubby and I are always happy on the hunt for good muffins (Roasted in The Village and Big Dave's Deli among our fave local place). Tried the blueberry and banana from Rosie's and they were so good! Adding them into our weekend rotation. Service was amazing as always. My son loved the banana bread bar and the 7 layer cookie. We came in the heat wave and our server was literally dripping sweat but she was great at her job. It is loud because it's so busy but our loud 12 month old fit right in. GREAT PLACE FOR BRUNCH ======================= My son, daughter-in-law, husband and I drove up to Zionsville, Indiana from Indianapolis. It was a short drive and I look forward to going there again. We got together with my daughter-in-law's family who live up in West Lafayette. Rosie's was kind of a half way point to meet-up. I thoroughly loved Rosies Place for brunch and I would definitely go there again. I had the best BLTA in a long time. I gave my daughter- in-law my side salad because I only cared about my sandwich. The majority on our group of eight people ordered breakfast items, but I had a BLTA on my mind. It was absolutely delicious. The Gooey Butter Latte was delicious with that cookie that comes with it. This is a great spot for brunch, and when the weather permits they have some tables outdoors. I had an iced coffee and one of their specials which was a sandwich with a cinnamon roll as a bun and a side of potatoes. I had a Classic breakfast with 2 eggs, home-fries and w toast! Everything was great especially my toast! The multi grain was so good! Next were the potato's seasoned perfectly. We have had Rosies for lunch in the past, but this breakfast was awesome. Safe to say it will be my family's new go-to breakfast joint in the area. I was stuck between ordering the Hot Chicken Benny, which was on special, and the Pork Tenderloin Benny. The waitress convinced me to go with the Hot Chicken since they only have it a couple of times throughout the year. I was happy I ended up listening. It's a biscuit, spicy fried chicken breast, 2 eggs (cooked to preference), jalapenos, hollandaise, and jalapeno honey. It comes with side of potatoes, which were cooked to perfection: outsides crispy and the insides tender. They are very flavorful. It was spicy, but not too spicy to where you couldn't enjoy it. The biscuit was fluffy and flavorful - and the whole dish was worth getting a second time. Others in my party got the biscuits and gravy with eggs, children's 3 silver dollar pancakes, and the breakfast quesadilla. I tried everything except the quesadilla, and all of them were delicious. The quesadilla looked awesome and I will definitely be trying that when I come back. The inside was much bigger than I imagined. It looks like a small spot from the outside. However, it accommodates a large number of guests. We went early Sunday (9am) and it was the perfect time in terms of being able to get right in and get a table with a party of 6. I was told there is usually a wait later in the morning. The place is not too loud and perfect for all age groups. You have to be careful though - it is easy to keep eating past when you should stop because it is so tasty :). I like the feel of the place too. It is cute, in quaint downtown Zionsville. When I purchased my car in 2019, my dealership sent me a container of their gooey butter cookies as a thank you gift and ever since I have been hooked! I haven't had them in a while but stopped by to grab some the other day and they were just as good. I've never eaten any food at Rosie's and have only visited the bakery counter but every interaction has been a positive one. After early voting, we head over to Rosie's for breakfast. Rosie's has become a cornerstone in the Village. The restaurant is located in an historic building from the early 1900s. We were seated by the window so we could enjoy the morning sun. Allyson, our server, was friendly and attentive. We chatted about early voting. I had the Breakfast Tacos, which I thought might be a healthy option. The tacos are more like burritos, served with a red taco sauce on top. The plate of food is generous with lots of potatoes. The tacos were good except I thought there were way too many black beans. My husband had the Classic Breakfast with rye toast. Their bread is made in-house and always a treat. Despite the place being packed to the gills on a Sunday morning, our waiter quickly took our drink orders and brought them without delay (including two coffees). What to say about Rosie's? There is nothing negative at all at this place. Tucked away in the quaint Little town of Zionville. I was pleasantly surprised. Of course the reviews were pretty good, but once I arrived and was driving down the street and there's quite a little town. I immediately knew that this was gonna be good. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcomed like I was greeting old friends. Fresh baked cookies and other items around the counter, and I don't think you can go wrong with from what I've seen. They have a nice breakfast menu and not overly priced. I love the history as Rosie as the grandmother of a couple of the ladies that owned the place. Very cool story. I highly highly recommend stopping here if you're in town. The inside of the restaurant is very nicely appointed and all the fresh baked goods make it seem very homey. My problem was with the service. We enjoyed an absolutely lovely breakfast at this Rosie's location on a Saturday morning. They were understandably busy inside so we opted to dine al fresco, which was extra nice with not only the beautiful weather, but also with all the fun people and pet watching. I started with the drink special, a strawberry and basil muddled mimosa. It was so tasty I jokingly asked our awesome server if they serve them by the pitcher! He was so friendly and attentive which we always appreciate. I opted for my favorite from other Rosie's locations, the Eggs Blackstone. Hubby went with the Breakfast Tacos which are really more like enchiladas. Everything was prepared well and tasted amazing. The portions are generous so we packaged up our leftovers to enjoy the next day. I grew up in Zionsville so it was really nice to visit and see how much Main Street has changed over the decades. The restaurant is very cute and quaint. The front dining area is very bright and open, the area we were sat in was small and dark. The hostess tried to sit us in a small table in the far back corner by the emergency exit. As she was seating us we passed a number of empty tables in the front section and in the back area. It was not a desirable table so we asked for a different/ bigger table. In future visits I would probably request the front dining area. Now to the service and the food. Jenn was our server and she was super friendly and gave us great service from beginning to end. The food was quick and yummy. My personal taste not a huge fan of the breakfast potatoes but my husband loved them. The cinnamon roll latte was so good. It smelled just like a cinnamon roll fresh from the oven. Rosie's Place was good overall, but a few things held it back for me. The portions were huge, which was a nice surprise, and the food itself was solid. I went during the morning rush, and the servers seemed pretty overwhelmed. Our waitress was friendly, but the service felt a bit scattered--she never brought a refill on my drink even though I asked, and one of our coffees didn't arrive until we asked for it twice. She also recommended adding cheese to our eggs and then didn't put it into the order. The space has a very old, worn-in feel. Some of that is just the age of the building, but it did come off a little grimy, and the seating felt really cramped. On the positive side, being able to join the waitlist online was super convenient. read more

This is a cute little hidden gem, tucked away in downtown Zionsville. We stopped in during lunch on a Thursday and it was pretty busy! Our wait was maybe 20 minutes and our food came out pretty quickly once we ordered. I love that they also offer pastries and from what I've been told - they're all amazing! The waiting area is somewhat of a nightmare b/c it's literally the restaurant entrance and since it's crowded, people are just bumping into each other or trying to maneuver around the crowd of people blocking the door. My husband and I were visiting Zionsville for the day and were looking for a nice place to grab lunch. We found Rosie's Place on Yelp and decided to dine here after checking out the menu. And what a great choice it was!! The only downside to all of the wonderful menu options is that it's really difficult to decide what to order, but that's a good problem to have. My husband ended up ordering the Farmers Market Omelet and a half order of biscuits and gravy. I ordered the Wild Turney Sandwich with a side salad. I also sampled my husband's entree. YUM! The biscuits and gravy alone is worth the visit. Each bite was a party for my taste buds. There's also a host of yummy baked goods that you can purchase, so of course we left with some scones for breakfast the next day. The staff is extremely friendly, and service was quite fast, even with a full restaurant. When our food was dropped off we asked for more napkins but did not receive them. She poured the steaming coffee and spilled it all over my cousins sandal & foot..she asked if she was okay but that was all.
