I have not been to Hooters in a very long time, but the SW Florida fam wanted to go. It was a quiet night, not too many people there. We were seated quickly and got our drinks. I wanted the classic Hooters wings (10), but two different sauces..... well...... Hooters does not do this.... At least they cannot smother them with two different sauces.... So the waitress told me I could ask for the sauces on the side. I am glad she suggested this. The breaded wings were steaming hot and great! I was able to put as much or as little sauce on them. I also ordered the classic curly fries with the jalapeño cheese sauce. The cheese sauce is good... but the fries were wayyyyyyyyyy too salty for me. Order a pick up order from your website for a pick up at 12! You open at 11am. I arrive at 12 and am told you don't have my order. A manager comes over and sees it is a schedule pick up order but says we don't start pick ups til 12:30! Why does your website say otherwise and allow me to place an order then? People have already eaten and are leaving, and the place is not busy at all and I'm told they will put my order in now but it will take 20-30 min. Took over 30 minutes for the food to come out. I have a lot of bad things to say about this place...sorry. First off, the wings were served dripping with oil. Proactively, we moved all 10 of these wings onto a fresh plate and yet another layer of grease formed at the bottom of the plate...man it just didn't stop! We eat wings often, but I've never seen grease like this. Curly fries were below room temperature and had virtually no salt on them. On top of abysmal food quality, service was subpar. My boyfriend ordered bone-in wings and was brought boneless...server immediately recognized this and pulled the plate away to bring back the proper order. While apologetic, she immediately took the plate away without offering options. It was about 10 minutes before she returned with the correct order. Our bill came, no discount, nothing. One of my favorite places for wings that would normally get 5 stars but our service was less than attentive. If you want to hear the good tea being spilt by Hooters waitresses while they stand around by the hostess stand then outside at this location is the place for you. If you want drinks before you have been there 10 minutes, hot food, and a waitress to check on you when you need straws, silverware, another drink, ranch, wet naps, a to go box....maybe not this location, as our waitress and four other waitresses were more interested in the chit chat than making sure they were giving great service. I wasn't a huge fan of it but for $5 what the heck might was well. We ordered 10 bone in wings, 20 buffalo shrimp, curly fries and hot turkey and bacon wrap. All the good was delish and hot!!! I often go on Saturdays to see the UFC fights because the food and fights are cheaper to watch their than to but at home. The food is great for the price and their curly fries are great. The one thing I would say is lacking is the service. Normally the service is sufficient but on multiple occasions our food took over a half hour to come.
