I am so glad Hooters returned to the area. I know they just reopened so I'll cut them a break on the slowness. Other than that everything was good. Just like all hooters their fries somehow are always cold before they make it to the table But nobody goes there for the French fries anyway. The wings were excellent very crunchy and well cooked but not dried out. The quantity of sauce was enough to cover the wing but not to leave a bunch of extra on the plate. We started loving Hooters in 1996 when we were stationed in Ft.Drum NY and we went to the Syarcuse location.Love their breaded wings.The sauce is amazing and the fries-yummy. So whenever we got stationed somewhere and traveled we would find a Hooters and go there even was we had children.My 6 week old daughter actually received a free t shirt one time. A group of us went there to watch the Rousey vs Holm fight and we knew there would be a wait time and the staff was pretty good about trying to keep us happy. When we got sat we just decided to order our drinks and food at the same time since we had already been waiting a while. The waitress brought all the drinks except my rum and coke which she completely forgot about and I didn't get it until after we got our appetizer which was some soggy nachos. The kitchen was very slow getting orders out so when it did finally come out, everything was pretty cold and we were getting wings we didn't even order but they said to just take them. Everyone got their food except for the one person who ordered a salad which he didn't get until after everyone was finished eating. Not one person finished their meals, due to everything being cold, flavorless, and all around pretty disgusting. One of our friends asked for onion rings instead of fries which there was a $1.00 charge for which wouldn't have been a problem except he only got 5 very small, cold onion rings instead of the regular 2 pounds of fries. After some food was taken from the table from being inedible we sat around watching the fights, I asked for a water which I didn't get for almost an hour. With the restaurant closing then reopening we thought maybe they would've done some changes to make their food and service way better to keep them in business and unfortunately its drastically gotten worse. The food was okay it was the service that was awful. We had a small wait, no big deal. We had a party of 6 and they traded us servers right after ordering drinks. I recently visited Mishawaka Hooters, and being a female I had my concerns. It was my son's 13th birthday he choose Hooters as the play to go. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. I expected the service to be minimum and the server to pay more attention to the male customers and my husband. However it was great they took MY order first. Served my food first. It was great! My son had the time of his life! They sang to him to pictures with him. It was an overall GREAT experience! The girls at that store definitely put the Hooters Stereotype to rest! Tonight we had the worst experience ever at the Hooters in Mishawaka! The service was absolutely terrible and I found a giant piece of half melted plastic in my buffalo chicken dip! The server was more focused on getting a good tip from the table of guys next to us than actually serving any of her other customers. We were mostly girls at the table and clearly not as important to the staff. Every single bill we got at the end was incorrect and had to be fixed which took 25+ minutes, not including any of the previous wait time AKA when we had to ask three times for refills before we finally got them. Luckily they took my dip off my bill but that's about the only thing they did right! Never been so disappointed at a well known restaurant, trying to have a nice time with a bunch of close friends and instead end up leaving angry and dissatisfied. Absolutely horrible service ! My family and I will not be wasting any of our money eating here again. In December I planned a surprise birthday dinner for my boyfriend whose parents came all the way from the other side of Elkhart to join in on the surprise. There were six of us the food starting coming out all at separate times and my boyfriends fathers food didnt hit the table until the rest of us were finished eating. I also ordered a side of fries that I asked about more than twice and never got. Upon receiving the bill we requested to speak to a manager about the high amount of disorganization and the way the food was served in parts not all at once with parts of meals coming at different times, we were told the manager was to busy to speak to us. I requested the fries that I never received be removed from the bill and was argued with by staff who stated "we gave you a discount" which I understood however it was a discount on food I never got. As we finished our drinks and I spent time apologizing to all whom I asked to come there that night I looked over to see the manager sitting at a different table chatting with friends. This is the same manager who was to busy to speak to unhappy customers. Leaving highly disappointed I decided I would call and speak to someone higher up the next day. I did this and was apologized to and told I would be receiving a gift certificate in the mail its now the end of march and I have yet to receive it.
