I usually enjoy visiting this Hooters location when I'm in town, but my experience last night was extremely disappointing. The bartender could give two f..ks, which is silly when people are coming out to watch the NBA championship game. Bartenders like her makes you understand why the crowd is not what it use to be. We sat at the bar for 10-15 minutes before the bartender even acknowledged us, despite having time to chat with other staff and guests. When she finally took our drink orders, she served a cocktail that tasted like flat seltzer water mixed with alcohol -- undrinkable, honestly. I rarely send drinks back, but this one was just bad. By the time she returned, the ice had mostly melted. I told her the drink was flat, and she said any replacement would also be flat because the seltzer was bad across the board. That's not a solution -- it's an excuse. I suggested she go ahead and serve a waiting customer's food instead while we figured out what to do next. We asked her to come back afterward, but she didn't. Instead, she focused on pulling stacked glasses and serving others. We had to call her back just to order a beer -- something I figured she couldn't mess up. Then we ordered loaded tots with everything on the side. She gave a sarcastic response, forgot the beer size, and returned to ask again. When the tots came out, they had everything on top, not on the side as requested. We had to ask her to fix that too. To top it off, the check included the bad cocktail I didn't drink. When we asked for it to be removed, she refused and gave us a snarky response about not being able to put the alcohol back in the bottle. We brought it up with the manager, but he doubled down, saying, "If my Pepsi isn't flat, the seltzer isn't flat." So apparently, I don't know what flat seltzer tastes like? That's not how you talk to customers -- let alone handle valid complaints. As a regular customer of this Hooters location, I know how the usual bartenders operate: great drinks, friendly service, and solid experiences. This bartender was the complete opposite -- indifferent, sarcastic, and unprofessional. Two things to remember: Regulars matter, but new customers can be your best tippers -- if treated right. My husband and I drove to this Hooters from Philly last week. We both love Hooters wings! We made a reservation through OpenTable, but they had a few tables open so it wasn't actually necessary. We both started with Bud Light drafts. Our waitress was friendly and got our beer out quickly. We then decided to order. My husband originally intended to order 20 wings and have them half 911/ 3 mile island. Our waitress told us we could not split flavors. We were pretty annoyed that we would have to pay an extra couple of bucks to get 2 10 pieces instead of the 20 piece. The only other Hooters I've ever been to that has said no on splitting flavors was the location in Times Square. Our food came out in about 15 minutes and it was very good! Wings were crispy and well sauced and fries were seasoned well! Once our food came, we had a harder time getting our waitress to come back. We were in need of water. I wish they would just bring a pitcher of water for the table when you order wings. My husband also ordered a second beer and we were about done with our food by the time it arrived. Was craving some good, hot, breaded buffalo wings so I had to come to Hooters. Been to this one maybe 4-5 times throughout my life and I usually only order takeout. Based on everybody saying this one going or went downhill I haven't really paid attention to the inside appearance. But as far as the wings, they're still pretty decent based on what you like. Service as far as the wait does took pretty long If your not like the other smart ppl I heard called in then picked up their orders. Got there and placed my order it probably took 30-40mins at the most. Can't really complain personally though because of course the wings are made to order. Have been frequenting this Hooters for the past couple of months usually around lunch time and usually have naked 3 mile island wings and a few beers, served by Dallys at the bar who is friendly and efficient. The wings are good, hot and crisp. I just had a recent visit early evening and had a burger. I was surprised in a couple of ways. The first was that I ordered my burger rare, although it wasn't rare, it was fairly close, good enough not for me to send it back. Anything medium and above I just don't like. This was just shy of medium rare so I was good. I had it topped with pepper jack and jalapeños. The best surprise was that the cook took time to grill fresh jalapenos opposed to just raw or pickled. Anyhow it was awful we do take out every time my husband picks it up on his way home and he picks up and gos which is understandable after working all day. The wings were so over cooked the boneless were tough to bite into and on top of it I think they are having a sauce shortage because we got no sauce. The they put the wing part that is usually thrown away as a count on the wings. My husband is not picky by any means and ate some of them w the kids and the trash can I passed! I have a better pallet then that. Anyway I'm sure the beer and girls are why the men go not the food, the food is definitely not a reason to go!! Skip this place if food is what you want!! Both managers on duty, Andrew and Ruby, as well as my HOOTERS GIRL were kind, caring, and compassionate. Lauren was absolutely amazing. By nature, she has the exact type of personality and traits to be helpful and inclusive of individuals with mental health issues. I wore a pink crop top as a metaphor to several issues with mental illness, which this restaurant allowed me to share with the restaurant. Additionally, I was able to take photos with the HOOTERS GIRLS as part of my FUNdraiser for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Also thanks to Kevin for his support. read more
