I went to trolley taphouse for a Thursday night event. Their food and drink menu is huge and there are lots of holiday cocktails. Service is pretty quick and even though it was pretty busy, we never had to hunt down our server. The sweet potato fries were different than the last time I had them and didn't come with the sauce compared to last time. Made them a little dry. The poke ball was fresh and had good flavor. The shrimp didn't add very much to it. I wish they were blackened or seasoned more. Overall good experience! read more

I will never return to this restaurant. I stopped here by myself and sat outside. I ordered 2 beers and a burger. I had a soda in my purse which I took out to drink waiting for my beers and food. A server came over immediately to tell me I I couldn't have the soda out and/or drink it. I put it back in my purse. I got my food and drinks, paid and tipped the server for it. Then, proceeded to take my soda out to drink as I was getting ready to leave. A server/manager came over immediately before I even took a sip and told me to "head out" because of the soda. I have NEVER experienced this anywhere else and I'm 76 yrs old. I felt tortured over this lousy soda. I also have a friend who will never return because of an issue she had with this restaurant. We're both DONE!!! I feel they're not too smart or welcoming and turning business away !!! There are way too many good restaurants to have to deal with this BS!!! Stopped in with two others on a summer Friday, late afternoon-outdoor seating was available but we chose to sit inside, next to the open sidewalk area. Waitress was good, took our drink orders right away-they have a heck of a beer selection-I chose a local Pilsner. We just ordered apps, all very good. A straight college bar. It caters to the college crowd and exemplifies that type of atmosphere. They stay open late, have games inside, and karaoke. The clientele is a mixed bag of college age, to mid-aged. It's pretty busy and the food is good, if not typical of this type of bar. You'll either like it or not. read more

What an excellent draft list! I am not sure why anyone would give this establishment less than a 5 star revieiw. If you are a beer afficianado this is the place to come. There was a bit of attitude with those servicing us (me and dozens of my colleagues) and they were a bit slow, but I genuinely think it might have just been the fact that the bar and the kitchen were not fully prepared for the amount of us. I am astonished at the insecurity and lack of professionalism of this establishment. After having served me multiple times before, tonight they denied me based on my out-of-state ID alone. We even have had the same server multiple times. Their manager came over to me and declared my ID "flimsy as shit" after bending it. Not only is my ID legitimate, I had my credit card and other documents proving my identity. I've lost my respect for this establishment and will not be returning again. Love to spend time at trolley tap house! This place is a cute and cozy bar/pub that has opening garage doors for when the weather gets nice! They also have a fabulous happy hour from 4-7 every day with menu items like Mussels, cheese curds, loaded tots and a giant pretzel (pictured here). You can't go wrong with their menu items as well- the flatbread sandwiches are great, as well as their lettuce wraps and burgers. We went to Trolley Tap House to meet friends for drinks and dessert. We had gotten dinner nearby beforehand and had a small box of leftovers with us. We requested a table outside and were told that we were not allowed in the establishment with outside food. After clarifying that this was just a box of leftovers that we would not be eating in the establishment, we were again told that we were not allowed in the establishment. Not sure if this is a new policy but I've never been told this before. We would have probably spent around $200 as a group, so it's a shame they couldn't allow this to a customer happy to support their business. We went to another restaurant a block away who was more than happy to accommodate and frankly more deserving of our business. Won't be going back. read more

Great tap list. I would love to see more national beers and flights (btw NO FLIGHTS HERE), but the local beers are pretty dope. Took my brother here for a belated 21st birthday celebration to help him find out what beers he likes, and we found a sour that was one of the best I have ever had. This was another YELP find. We were in Baltimore and wanted to stop for a nice lunch about halfway on the ride home. So we opened the map version on YELP search with a few filters, like outdoor seating, and found this spot. Very happy we did. We grabbed a table on the sidewalk, note: the shade will move from the restaurant toward the street, so if you want more sun sit by the street, if you want less, sit by the open wall restaurant. The outdoor seating area was completely shaded by 2pm. Service was great and we liked how the beer menu was also posted on cool signs on the back wall. The Trolley definitely has a nice beer list, maybe next time we can take more advantage of that. Food was good and our server was nice. The husband ordered fish and chips $11 but got $10 fish tacos. He was fine with that, a bit healthier and delicious. The perfect size for lunch. I had the sweet & savory flatbread with brie, garlic, rosemary, cranberry, toasted pumpkin seeds, and balsamic. It was $9.50 and very good. Overall, this was a great spot and happy we stopped. Plenty of other choices with outdoor seating in the area; however, because this spot has the walls that open and the large beer list, we were happy to have chosen here for lunch. read more

During my recent visit to Wilmington, we were staying in the neighborhood. I actually walked by and noticed that they are a bar that specializes in beer. I decided to stop in. The neigborhood where Trolley Tap House is located is just great. They have very good beer for a bar. You can tell that they maintain their lines keep good inventory. They have a printable beer list, too. My only suggestion is that they print on the list under each beer exactly which region it comes from. Since I was visiting from NJ, I asked about local Delaware beers, and the bartender had no idea. I ended up googling each one on my phone and was able to order some Delaware beers, which I enjoyed very much. They also have many out-of-state ones. Their food is appropriate for the type of venue. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. Believe it or not--the croutons were the best part. You could tell that they were fried in house and were not out of a bag. Otherwise the salad itself was just OK. I would come here more often for beer if I lived locally. However, the prices for each glass were about a dollar too expensive. read more

Stopped in for a quick dinner with friends this past Friday night. Though we arrived around 7, we were able to be seated immediately and were offered a choice to sit on the patio, but we chose to stay inside and were led to one of the high-top tables. The room does get fairly loud, but since it was only about 1/2 full, noise was at a reasonable level that night. I opted out of alcohol since I was getting over a cold, but the beer list is fairly extensive and featured a number of seasonal beers for the fall. This was my first time there since they revamped the menu, and I will say that there were several more options that appealed to me than the prior menu had. I chose the Chicken and Goat Cheese piadina --- an Italian flatbread that sort of resembled a quesadilla, loaded with chicken, a LOT of goat cheese (so make sure you are truly a goat cheese fan), arugula, bacon, mushrooms, and red peppers --- which was delicious and filling. Though the menu does not explicitly mention it, all of the sandwiches and burgers come with your choice of sides, so I ordered my usual sweet potato fries, which were crispy and delicious, though would be better if they came with a dipping sauce beside ketchup. My friends ordered the TTH Pickle Back Burger (which has fried pickles on it!) and the Chicken Club sandwich and while both seemed to enjoy their meal, neither was particularly raving about it. All in all, one of the better food options in Trolley. Other FYIs: they have happy hour specials ($1 off of beer, $3.50 wine, appetizers from $5-7) daily from 4-7 PM and Geeks Who Drink trivia on Wednesdays. read more

This review is after three visits, all three seated at a table. 1 - Service is always terrible. You will get a drink right away, but that's it. When ready for a refill or another drink, all three visits only way to get it is to go up to the bar yourself. 2- You do not get an itemized bill. After you finally get the server to come to your table, the server will just say "That will be $75" and you do not get to look over the bill for accuracy. Server also stands there to watch you enter tip. 3 - Menu is inaccurate. 4 - Any food modification you ask for will be ignored. The bar has a lot of taps. I don't drink beer, but I imagine you can get the beer you want here. The bartenders have been good about getting my drink when I come up from the table. I think they are used to it. The only way to have a decent experience here is to sit at the bar and to not order any food. read more

Went to the Tap House for the first time last night. We only had drinks. I ordered the sea mule which was a delicious take on the Moscow mule. Atmosphere was nice, I especially liked that the large garage type doors were open as it was a nice day out. They had a live band also which was cool. Two of the group I was with ordered food and they both liked what they had. The best part though was the bartender, wish I caught his name. He was super on top of everything and just a really nice guy, even though we had a big group (9) and everyone wanted separate checks. Definitely will be back! read more

Came here yesterday to grab some dinner and drinks. The beers were pretty good, though pricey. The reason for low star rating is the food and service. We ordered mushroom toast as an appetizer and two issues with it: 1. Service: First off, it came with beef (was misspelled beer in the menu). So the presence of beef was a total surprise. I pointed out the mis-spelt beef to the waitress and told her I don't eat beef and can't tolerate the smell. She said.. ok. No apologies, no offer to take it off our checks. 2. Food: Tried eating the mushrooms anyway but they were too sour. Looked like they used vinegar instead of cider (probably another typo in the menu)? On our way out, I stopped by at the hosts table and pointed out that the menu has inaccurate descriptions of the food and she just smiled and said "uh-huh, okay". Again no apologies and no offer to take it off our checks. With this level of service, not coming back here! Disappointed and unhappy. read more

We were the first customers on a Saturday. When the waitress came to our table she said that she was "feeling flustered because she didn't have time to do her makeup". She said that typically people "don't usually come in until around 12". It was 11 am. I will admit that I liked the decor but the food wasn't anything special. Like its predecessor CR Hooligan's, I imagine that it won't be around long if others have similar experiences. I have been told that they do a decent happy hour there. Enjoyed a bustling Fri night late dinner at about 9 pm here - really liked the lettuce wraps with a tang of wasabi - we split that as a starter among the 3 of us - then I had a chicken and goat cheese panini and my niece did too and my nephew had the pulled pork - we left bursting - I tried the cocktail on tap which was some sort of Titos lemonade concoction that was very good and my nephew and niece enjoyed selections from their vast beer menu. Met some friends on Sunday evening for dinner and drinks. At first we thought we were given a late night menu because it was fairly limited and descriptions were not very good. We were going to order burgers until we saw one come out to the table next to us, it looked like a McDonald's patty. The fried green beans were ok, the sauce was very lemony. Ordered the grilled cheese, it was horrible, the bread was so thick and the goat cheese was slathered on, you almost choked trying to chew it. The pork belly sandwich was okay. The default side for sandwiches is chips, there is a $2 up charge for fries that is not on the menu. From the start, our server was very disinterested and seemed oddly overwhelmed, the restaurant was not that busy. One of the beers that our friend ordered was kicked, so he ordered a different beer, but she brought out something completely different. Then, one of our glasses had lipstick on it and her response was "oh gross, we have a dishwasher." Overall, we were very disappointed. Am I going to a different Trolly Tap House? Because everytime I've been here, it's been great. I wish I could remember the name of the waiter the first time I went there because he was extremely helpful. It was a busy Friday evening and he took the time to explain various food items on the menu as well as the different beers on tap and what his favorites were. The pickle plate was one of my favorite items on the menu and I was really excited to get the chance to try a pickled egg. I always wondered what they tasted like. Spoilers...they're delicious. Yes the beers are a little more pricey than a Bud Light, but that's to be expected with craft beers. I would much prefer to come here for some interesting craft beverages and ambiance than just another bland sports bar. read more
