I placed an order for carry out yesterday at Hooters. I ordered the boneless buffalo chicken "YUCK" it was terrible. The curly fries had no seasoning just cold potatoes. The food wasn't hot for and the taste not really sure how to describe it but it had a smell as if it were burned but it wasn't but when you tasted the chicken you could smell the dirty oil. My family lives down by Kankakee towards the Indiana border and a lot of people we know go to Schererville and Merrillville and say they don't like this location because they say the wings taste different and they don't have sports on the main speaker system instead of music. We have been going to Hooters for years and have enjoyed their food! Our last visit 3/23/19 we placed an order for fifty wings for pick up. Upon arriving home and eating we noticed how tiny and I mean tiny some of the wings were. Some of the flats were so small there was hardly any meat on them and a lot of the drums barely reached over 2 1/2 inches....that's ridiculous when you're paying $50 for fifty wings! This place is a joke. Zero customer service. No one cares about a thing. We ordered food from Uber eats and got half our order. Uber eats customer service is no better but thats another issue. We called them and talked to a manager. She said there's nothing we can do about. They packed our food so it was there fault but took our money. I then called Uber and got a credit to get it ordered again but what about the service fee and the delivery for 2 separate orders. Ether way then I get it ordered again with Uber eats and it comes finally after 2 hours of waiting and it wasn't what I ordered. No one cares about the customer here. Came back to us 25 min later and said she lost the ticket and asked us to repeat the order again (I get that tickets can get lost, but 25 min later to put the order in?) literally waited for our food for 2 hours. No joke 2 hours. Shoulda left but didn't because server already had tables walking out on her so we felt bad. When the food arrived, our crab legs looked spoiled. Literally the crab meat was brown. There was a bad odor as well. She took it off our bill, but why let the crab get to the table looking and smelling like that in the first place? Ordered a buffalo chicken garden salad online. Estimated time for order to be ready for pick up was 541pm. Order wasn't ready until 610pm. Okay thats annoying, but whatever tough times out here. Get home and notice there is just grilled chicken instead of grilled buffalo chicken. So I call them up and am placed on hold for over 20 minutes. Finally after calling off another cell phone I get through and they say come back in and we will make you a new one. I bring the salad back up there and find out they haven't made a new salad with buffalo chicken. I let them know there is no onions or tomatoes as well. To fix the situation they bring me a container of tomatoes and onions and a side of buffalo chicken to toss in the salad . At this point I am just shocked at the solution so take my lump and leave. This is partially my fault for ordering online considering I have never gotten a correct order for carry out at this location. So at this point it's expected. My husband and I took our kids for lunch today and the service was extremely slow. As soon as our server came around, we ordered our drinks & food immediately. It took about 20 minutes for my son to get his bottled milk. My husband ordered a beer and we waited for about 20 minutes for that as well. The waitress finally came by to tell us they had to put in a new keg for that one so it would be a few more minutes. Another 10 mins goes by and she comes back to let us now know that they are all out of that beer (A Little Sumpin Sumpin to be exact), so my husband opted for water instead. Meanwhile, we are also still waiting on our meals. In total, we waited almost an hour for our food, which we immediately boxed up to take home and asked for the check. Also, the entire restaurant could hear the kitchen staff shouting at one another or at the servers to move faster. Awesome that it's not crowded at 12:30 on a Saturday. Hot wings made to specification. Always works. I love all drums and extra crispy So it works just perfect that they accommodate. I do know of some other "competitors" of this establishment who would not do the only "drumstick" card. But not Hooters. Everyone that I have gone to have always been happy to make the customer happy. The girls here are pretty good at making you feel welcomed. But I do know a Hooters girl in another location who said that they are "trained" well. And that's okay because these girls deserve to be tipped accordingly and as they should since most of the time the girls at Hooters, make you feel welcomed. I like the fact that this Hooters is really spacious. It had a West and East wing so to speak. But in all the sections you still had a good view of the place, they sat us near the bar which was not a big deal in the least, as long as they served wings, beer and fried pickles, my experience is always pleasant. read more

Today is Valentines Day, February 14, 2020! This is 23 year of being single & without a Valentine on Valentines Day. I arrived at Hooters at noon, the peak of the lunch hour rush. The parking lot was already getting full. Luckily I suffer a spinal injury & was able to find a handicapped parking spot. As I enter the restaurant, Kayla the hostess immediately & graciously opened the doors for me when she saw me walking up with a cane. Kayla was able to seat me right away. I was thankful that she didn't seat me in a corner in the far back of the restaurant. That's Hooters equivalent of the dreaded Friends Zone. Savannah & Gianna were my waitresses. Savannah is our veteran waitress training Gianna the superstar in the making. Both women were amazing. They were attentive to my drink refills & gave plenty of table talk. Today only, Hooters is having a Valentines Day promotion. If you bring in a photo of your ex, have the waitress dispose of the photo then you get 10 FREE boneless wings with the purchase of any 10 regular wings. I'm grateful for the table talk provided by Savannah & Gianna. They made this gloomy Hallmark holiday just a little bit better. I don't come to this Hooters often. I'm rather disappointed with their management. Managers here don't provide table talk & customer service the way they used to when Frank & Todd managed this restaurant. The General Manager here always has a mean look on her face. I never see her smile. She never approaches customers to see how they're doing. The 2 of us arrived on a Tuesday at 5:45 pm. There were customers at only 4 tables. I briefly counted 14 empty low tables and booths. I was told it would be a 10 minute wait because I didn't want to sit at high table. I'm not opposed to waiting when necessary. But for a restaurant that was practically empty?
