I was pleasantly surprised that the food was improved from my last visit. It seemed and tasted fresher than I had remembered and a better quality of foods. There's really no reason to come here anymore, except that it's close to my office, and my buddy still likes the place. My friends and I had come into Hooters for shrimp and beer but we were told to leave after ordering beer and 1 soda. My designated driver who does not drink because of his challenges was called drunk and my entire party was rudely asked to leave. We always drink responsibly but will not plan any more parties at Hooters because laughing and having fun is considered drunk. Haven't been to this restaurant for at least 5 years, so we thought we'd give it a shot tonight. I remember why we hadn't been back. Our waitress was super friendly, but unfortunately, the rest of our visit was less than mediocre. We ordered a couple of beers, beer cheese pretzels as an appetizer, my husband ordered his usual wings and was able to get his sauce (which is the ONLY reason they get 2 stars,) and I ordered the buffalo shrimp. They didn't have my beer even though their website says they do, we waited way too long to get our food, had to remind her about the appetizer after our other food came, and my food was cold. Cold enough that I sent the shrimp back and our appetizer came out with my second order of shrimp. Needless to say, this will be our last Hooters Toledo visit. read more

We moved to the main entrance and waited for another five minutes. Granted, four and five minutes isn't a long time, but waiting to be greeted at a restaurant shouldn't take that long. Only worth going on Wednesdays, otherwise it's over priced with crappy service. The girls will single you out, an example: if you're in there with your family the girls do not pay much attention to you, leading to horrible service and waiting around forever for drinks or your food. They think the guys are going to tip them well for conversation and being allowed to ogle their bodies. I guarantee my family being taken care of will get you at least 25%of my bill. I get it. they are young and money hungry. They just don't understand the concept of great service makes great money. Not everyone is there for the waitresses. I don't know if it was the ongoing construction out front or just an extremely off night, but this is quite possibly the worst Hooters experience I have ever had. From the time I walked in the door until I even got some acknowledgement that I was standing there at the hostess's desk was about 5 minutes. Now given a busy night and that would have been great. But this particular night there were two guys sitting at the bar. One table with two guys and a waitress sitting there with them. As I had ample time to look around, I notice the bartender in a break area on her phone. The hostess and one other waitress sitting at a table together, both on their cell phones and of course the other waitress sitting with two gentlemen and talking. Once the hostess finally gets off her phone and seats me, close enough to the table with the other two gentlemen that I could actually have reached over and touched the waitress, she tells me my server will be with me in a moment. Approximately another 5 minutes goes by and I am about to get upset and walk out, the waitress whom had been sitting with the two gentlemen finally gets up and comes over to take my drink order. My response when she asked if she could get me anything to drink was "Only if it doesn't take me as long as it did to get a table and a waitress. She laughs and makes some excuse about not knowing she had a table, even though I'd been listening to her flirt with the two gentlemen she had been sitting with. She brought my beer, and took my order which was simply Nachos. They came out quickly and she dressed them up all pretty with sauce and jalapenos. They tasted fine as usual. Now let's face it. I'm 50+ years old, I didn't come to Hooters for the food. I came for the sights. Between 3 waitresses and a hostess and a about 4-5 other guys in the place, it was so quiet that you could hear the cook in the kitchen cooking up a storm, although I'm not sure who for, since everyone in the restaurant already had their food. I finished my nachos, order some wings to go for my lunch the next day, finished my beer, paid my tab, complete with a whopping 5% tip which is more than what I should have left. Even though I am in the Toledo area for the next 3-4 months working, I believe I'll give Twin Peaks a try before I come back here. Well, nothing good to say here. The French fries that I wanted 'extra crispy' were soggy and cold. It's like they been sitting for a while. Mozzarella sticks weren't much better. You could tell they were frozen and have been sitting out for a while as well. I wouldn't get food there again and won't recommend for others. Waitresses didn't seem like they wanted to be there.
