I've been to the Texas Roadhouse restaurants in the Toledo area on many occasions but hadn't been recently. This is for the location off of Airport Highway. It's the usual bustling Texas-style ambiance. In case you don't know, you will not be seated until everyone in your party has arrived. Even though it's hot outside, the AC is cool, so I was happy to be wearing long pants with a sweater. Our server was pleasant enough. However, I would suggest that TR train the servers to mention certain things that aren't noted on the menu. For instance, a side of green beans isn't simply green beans- it also has bacon or bacon bits in it. While many people don't mind, I wasn't expecting it and don't eat bacon. I was dining for lunch with my book club friends and so we qualified for a discounted early special of select entrees for $12.99. The selections didn't include my favorite so I went with the Herb crusted chicken, a baked potato and the green beans (with bacon). It wasn't bad or anything, but it all tasted salty. Even the baked potato skin was encrusted with a course salt. The portions are generous and more than any of us could eat for lunch, so we all took home leftovers. I honestly would have thrown mine out, but my dog enjoyed the chicken. That raised my rating by an extra star. I was glad that the chicken didn't go to waste. I will also say that our server provided refills on our sodas and iced teas. I would definitely return, but I'd order what I really want and not be swayed by the early deals. Had a party of thirteen for multiple birthday celebrations. We called ahead so there was a ten minute wait. We all occupied three tables and our waitress took our drink orders and served immediately.. Entrees order were taken and served in a fair amount of time. Used call ahead service and waited another 45 minutes only to be told they could not seat our large group. Frustrating at best. They gave us table's across the isle from each other splitting our group wrecking the vibe of our celebration. When I lost my mind was when I asked our waitress for silver service, we were short one. Consistent. You know what to expect, hot rolls with cinnamon butter choice steaks and country music blasting. My go to is the 6oz sirloin, a cut I never order except for here. Always cooked to perfection, well I do ask for it a half step lower than I want. Another go to is the 8oz Strip; juicy and full of flavor, try it with thick cut mushrooms. A quick secret they also serve it with white gravy if you ask. Another tip add bacon to your salad for .50 cents. Friendly enough service. My daughter got four tiny tenders, noodles with shredded cheese just thrown in and not even mixed it melted... The potato skins were cold & Soggy. Caeat before you get into this review; it isn't my usual review for a restaurant. We decided to go out for dinner tonight (Friday) as a "date night". I have the Texas Roadhouse app, so I put our request in for their Wait List. The app indicated it would be an hour to an hour and 10 minutes before we would be seated. We did a few things around the house before leaving for the restaurant. We arrived about 10 minutes ahead of the time we were supposed to, and I checked in through the app. I was supposed to receive a text message when we were to go into the restaurant to be seated. Well, we sat in my vehicle for over an hour and I got tired of waiting, so we went into the restaurant (in hindsight, we should've left after sitting there in my truck waiting for the text to come in). I walked up to the hostess stand and told her we were on the wait list and sat in the asking lot after checking in for over an hour. We were seated immediately. It took a while before our server made it to our table (another red flag). Initially, she was pleasant. It took her a while to come back after ordering our drinks. We placed our food order, and then someone else brought out our side salads. Then the waiting game really kicked in! Wee waited for our dinners for over an hour and others tables near us turned 2 times while we waited. I searched out a manager, and I told him what was happening. He wanted to see where we were sitting and then find out what was going on. During the hour plus we waited for our food, our server only came by the table two times and the first time she stopped by our table (about 30 minutes into our wait for our dinners), she said sorry we are a bit backed up and your food should be done in a couple minutes. Sadly, another 30 minutes past before we saw our server again. This time, she didn't even look at me, so I knew something was going on. That is when I sought out resolution by speaking to a manager. He left our table and said he would get to the bottom of this and let us know what happened to our dinners. Then he disappears! Whaaaaat? About 15 minutes later he shows up saying the kitchen lost our food ticket. Wait, what? Our server told us 45 minutes prior our food would be done in just a few minutes; now we are being told the kitchen lost our food ticket. About 5 minutes later, our food was finally brought out to us by someone different - not our server, not the manager, and not the person who brought out our salads. While we were eating our dinners, another manager walked up to the table and asked how everything was tonight, grabbed the little ticket they tape to each table, and just kept right on walking. The manager I spoke to came back around when while we were eating and said our meals would be comped due to everything we had to go through before our dinners were in front of us. Sadly, no one took accountability for what happened, our server basically disappeared during the hour plus we waited for our food, the manager disappeared after he was going to find out what happened, and another manager did not have the decency to actually stop when she walked up and asked how everything was going before grabbing the ticket taped to our table and kept on walking. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and if I could leave a no-star rating, I would. If we decide to go back to a Texas Roadhouse ever again, it will not be this one. Very frustrating to say the least and quite disappointing. read more

One of the best steak dinners on a budget. The meat is always the best part, but I enjoy the salad, and blooming onion too, today I ordered the loaded bake potato and had to share a picture of it. It was huge and stuffed! The service was quick and top notch today. The ambiance is a little weird and cramped. They no longer just give you peanuts to throw all over the floor, but they will give you a bag of nuts if you ask. read more

We had a terrific experience on Wedneday, August 20th, which was my birthday! It was packed, and we were seated promptly. Our waiter was Alek, and he gave excellent service! He was super friendly, and frequently asked us if we needed anything, and asking how our food was. We received our rolls, appetizers, and salads quikly! Our main dishes were excellent! I had the filet medallions with portobello mushroom sauce which was delicious! I definitely will get it again! The atmosphere was nice, and everyone was so friendly. Super impressed with this restaurant! Went early evening on Valentine's Day weekend. Joined the waitlist on line, which made it super easy. When we arrived, the parking lot was FULL. People were parking in nearby office parking and walking over. We waited in our (warm) car until we got a text to go in, and were seated right away. Service was top notch, generous portions, MUCH better value than most restaurants in this class. Despite how busy they were, the kitchen was really cranking it out CORRECTLY, and was very pleased. Texas Roadhouse is usually a consistent, decent meal however this particular location was the best TR I've had. Not only was the food delicious (I've ordered this same meal at other locations and it was significantly better here), but the service was also attentive and very helpful. Great location. They lose a star because 3/4 of the servers Ive encountered are not very friendly. I usually come about an hour or so before closing so its not very crowded. Shouldn't have to look for the server. The only server that I remember providing efficient and friendly service is Alicia. The mixed drinks all taste like juice so dont bother. On to the grub. The rolls are good and fattening as everyone mentioned but the real winner is the prices. My man loves steaks. Usually the most expensive thing on the menu but even here it won't break the bank. Two can eat and have drinks for $40. Great date night. Between the 2 of us, we have eaten all the various types of steaks, chicken dishes and catfish. All very very good. Well seasoned and reliable. Get the green beans as a side. They almost taste as good as my Grandma's. The rice and baked potato are also standouts. Never had a bad meal at this location. Recommended. I went with a couple of friends for dinner. I have been trying to reduce my alcohol intake. My friend ordered a really yummy sounding drink. I asked what sort of non-alcoholic cocktails they could make. The waitress promptly informed me that it was policy that they could not mix non-alcoholic drinks. In her 3 years they have never been allowed to serve non-alcoholic cocktails. Say what??? In this day you are not allowed to serve mocktails, that's crazy. Let me start by saying I eat at this location often and also the one in Ann Arbor and Jackson as well. If you have ever been to a Texas Roadhouse they usually have their act together pretty well. Today as usual we did call ahead seating. We arrived and were seated very quickly. They do have plenty of area available for waiting as they have expanded that over the past couple years. After being seated we were greeted by our waiter and our drink orders was in. He did suggest a few appetizers to get us started but we declined. He quickly came back with our drink orders and we were ready to order. We asked if the kids steak bites could be cooked medium rare. We were advised that it was. It an option. The last few times the steak bites have been leather and my kid won't eat them that way neither does the dog. We told him we would try them but if they were leather we were not pay for them. Our meals came out in a timely fashion and the steak bites were cooked to my kids liking. All our food was as ordered and tasted great as usual. Our waiter checked on us often and was always polite. My biggest complaint that comes up every time is I would like a spoon so I can get all the potatoes and gravy out of the bowel. We have eaten at this and many other locations. We enjoy the consistency and excellent customer service that is provided every time. read more

They were feeding each other fries at the host stand and made us wait 20 minutes because she didn't want to wipe our table off. In Ohio for a mini getaway with the husband and decided to come here for dinner. When we pulled into the crowded parking lot we thought about turning around but decided to come anyway. We checked in and was told it was a 20-30 minute wait but it ended up being only a 10 minute wait. We were seated and greeted by a very nice waitress named Veronica who provided us with excellent service. I ordered the filet medallions on-top of rice with a loaded baked potato, green beans & a side of grilled shrimp. My husband ordered the fried catfish with steak fries. Texas Roadhouse is usually a pretty consistent place to eat. Food is always good. I sit at the bar when traveling alone due to the TV's and usually good service. Last night was no exception. The bartender was friendly and not intrusive. Hot rolls and honey butter offered. They are delicious. Held back and only ate one! . Ordered a medium steak with baked potato and corn. It took a bit to get food but, it was prime time for the restaurant. Everything was hot. Corn looked a little old but tasted fine. Potato was hot and very good. My reason for one less star is the steak. While it was tender and good, it was completely raw in the middle. I know they asked me to cut into my steak when delivered but, I like to let my steaks rest a bit. I touched it and it "felt" Medium. So, it's really my fault. However, I never like to send food back so, I ate it. It was good, just couldn't eat the middle. I would still definitely come back to this restaurant. read more

I recently had lunch here. It was my first visit. I really enjoyed the atmospher, it was noisy and fun. I was happy to find a reasonably priced prime rib close to home. My boyfriend ordered the filet and I ordered the 12oz prime rib. I also ordered the Mango Margarita which was superb. Sadly dinner wasn't as successful. Boyfriend's filet was rare after being ordered med rare but he did like it so no problem. My prime rib was ordered med rare, and I stressed to the server that it was important that it be med rare. it wasn't even close. It came out medium and after sitting on the plate ended up being med well. Baked potato also wasn't cooked through. I ordered mushrooms and onions on the side and was served a very large portion of both. I spoke to the manager and she made excuses for the overcooking of the meat. But if they can't serve rare meat at 1:30 how can they do it in the evening. May go back, maybe not. read more
