While browsing for LVP flooring samples at Fantastic Floors, I struck up a conversation about our project. Mazz, the owner, eagerly offered to bid on it. Though skeptical at first, I agreed. The very next day, he arrived with his construction team and cabinet partner to discuss our vision in detail. Just a few days later, we received a competitive quote, signed the contract within a week, and work commenced shortly after. Despite some unexpected challenges from the wall removal, they completed the remodel in about a month--far quicker than the 2-3 months quoted by others. Super abrasive and condescending to his crew and employee K. Argued with my design choices, did not listen to me at all and seemed annoyed with my questions about product. Also, took a call in front of my husband and me and kept on speaker. Talk about awkward. It was business related but lots of cussing and yelling between the two. The kicker was they quoted me 5000.00 more than the amazing flooring company we ended up going with and they were going to go right over the existing floor. So less work, more money, when I called to inquire about the process because I researched and got other bids, K was explaining and answering my questions well, 1/2 way through the conversation owner took phone and was aggressively talking to me. I said, "wait did you guys just switch?" He replied, "I can explain better" wow. So disrespectful. If you are ok with going over existing floors and dealing with this behavior, have at it, but I definitely can recommend a much better choice. The company I chose was pleasant to work with, cost effective, and flawless from beginning to end. Doing it the right way, by pulling up the floors is the way to go. Peace of mind for sure and warranties work when it is done correctly, should something happen. I will never have to wonder.

On top of that, they expected us to drive back to the original location for the missing materials, even though our job site was over an hour away. We politely asked if we could pick up the materials at a different location closer to the project, but they refused and offered absolutely no compromise or assistance. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and terrible customer service overall. As contractors, we rely on suppliers to be dependable and willing to work with customers when issues happen. Unfortunately, that was not the experience here.

We received a quote by the end of the day and waited a few weeks for actual measurements of our counter and backsplash space for replacement. Waited another few weeks to have them start demo on a Tuesday to disconnect stove, water, sink and dishwasher, and waited til Friday for installation of counters. Was originally planned for Thursday but due to miscommunication I wasted a full Thursday waiting to find out no one was coming. Came the following week to do backsplash and complete the job. For future reference, I would get an estimated timeframe from start to finish. Scheduling and communication seemed to lack and had difficulty trying to make my personal plans around them so I basically couldn't plan ahead for anything for 1 1/2 weeks. When I mentioned this to my sales associate he was very specific of a 3-4 day start/finish that was never mentioned to us, nor estimated in our contract. Well, we were way over their timeframe based on the wait time of scheduling. Since we had to go without sink water since Tuesday, a plumber came out Saturday to reconnect sink, stove and dishwasher for the weekend until completion the following week. I feel that the daily teams did a great job however I feel that my associate person could have given everything a thorough inspection, especially on completion day. Pictures and admiration does not pass as a full inspection. We ended up not having silicone caulk between the counters and backsplash therefore the grout was cracking, there were some quartz blemishes that needed touch up, electrical outlets were having problems, etc. and I had to make my own punch list for followup which again was not reinspected by my associate. So for over a two week period the job from start to finish was complete. I ended up caulking the counter to backsplash since nothing was scheduled, it was always next week.....not a scheduled day. I surrendered. Before this begun, full payment was done therefore I felt that they were done with us and left it at that. I still gave them 4 stars being that 90% of the job was done good by the assigned teams.

My project was to finish the renovation of my home office closing in the walls, installing some french doors and cabinets. Some of the previous work I'd done myself made things a little challenging for the team, but they worked through everything and did an amazing job. As always things come up and change, but Danny did an excellent job keeping me informed of things as they came up so they weren't a surprise. If I had any regrets it's that I haven't used Danny and team in the past to do other projects at my house. He was incredibly responsive whether that was items on our punch list that were missed by the contractors or new work we wanted to add to the scope of work. The painters did the interior and exterior and did an incredible job! The flooring including tile and carpet were well done. He also suggested we sand and stain the upstairs floor rather than replace it saving us money and the floor looked like new! We were having a plumber install a new stovetop and discovered the granite was 1/4 inch too small. We had no work done relating to granite, but called Ibrahim and he was able to get a professional out there the next day so we could continue with the install quickly. Ibrahim acted as a general contractor and was able to keep our project moving especially in our tight timeline of 4 weeks to get the house ready to put on the market. It took a lot of the stress off of us and we appreciated having such a knowledgeable partner on this project. I can't recommend Arbor Floor N Design enough!
